Denise Welch has revealed she’s not going anywhere when it comes to her slot on the Loose Women panel and says she ‘loves’ her fellow panellists.

The actress, 66, who has been a regular on the ITV daytime show since 2005, told Mirror, “I love being on the show, I did have a break for a few years but I love it right now. It fits into my lifestyle really well and I’ve no plans of leaving.

“I love catching up with the girls and we all support each other. Believe you me, If I didn’t get on with everybody then I wouldn’t be doing it, I’m at an age now where I don’t need to.”

Talking at the Royal Television Society awards, Denise continued, “I’ve been sharing my stories for over two decades now and I always believe that you have a responsibility on the show to share you opinion if you’ve got one.

“We’ve all gone through different things and we all support each other. I’m 67 this year and It’s the only show on television, I believe, that truly celebrates women and ageing.” She added with a laugh, “I’m quite gobby. My opinions aren’t going to change!”

It comes after Denise opened up about a toxic relationship she went through during an episode of Loose Women last week, which saw the panel celebrating the first anniversary of their Facing It Together campaign.

Talking about the relationship, without naming the partner, Denise said: “I fell in love with this incredibly charismatic man, very, very good-looking, and I thought that my whole life had aligned and this was the person for me.

“Then, of course, you don’t realise what’s happening, so he started to chip, chip, chip away at my personality. Personality traits that I thought made me quite popular suddenly became detrimental, and he would say things like, ‘You know your friends aren’t laughing with you, they’re laughing at you.’

“You know, when you told that joke that they all laughed at, why did you tell that joke? It was rude. They were all rolling their eyes at each other,’ and you start to slowly believe.”

She also revealed how her partner’s dysfunction and jealousy played a huge role in the abuse.

When asked whether she was nervous about sharing her story on television, Denise confidently told Mirror: “No, I don’t get worried about that. I never name anyone and I’m used to being open.

“I actually had so many people messaging me afterwards on Instagram, it was a heartbreaking response because so many people related to what I was going through in coercive controlling relationships.

The business mogul announced that she would not be part of the BBC show’s next series earlier this month.

Sara Davies has admitted she was “getting to a breaking point” as she revealed the reason she finally decided to quit Dragons’ Den.

The businesswoman, 40, announced that she would be quitting the BBC show on March 7 in a statement on Instagram, revealing that her business was her big priority this year.

“That’s why I’ve taken the decision to step away from the Den for now, to focus on my own business, which was my first baby,” she said at the time. “So I won’t be filming with the team this year for the next series.”

Many fans were devastated by the news, announcing that Sara was their favourite Dragon and the show would not be the same without her. However, they congratulated her on making strides with her business and wished her well in her new endeavours.

The business mogul was welcomed onto Loose Women today to talk about her future away from Dragon’s Den, and ended up providing a little more insight into why she felt it was the right time for her to leave the show behind.

Sara explained that there is a lot more work that goes into being a Dragon behind the scenes than fans realise, and she did not feel able to prioritise that anymore.

She added : “If it’s not actually the filming, it’s that there’s up to a dozen new businesses – they have me on Whatsapp, then they want me to come to board meetings. I want to do it. The problem is, I can’t half do something.

“I’m either in or I’m not in. When I’m in I want to be a big part of their life and a big part of their business. I knew it just wasn’t feasible this year – it was getting to a breaking point.”

Now Sara is looking forward to focusing on the crafting company she launched in 2005 – which sells sewing products, art supplies, and craft storage items to an international market.

On top of that, Sara has been busy promoting her new book, The 6 Minute Entrepreneur. She did a book tour ahead of its launch on Thursday, March 13, and has responded warmly to the positive reviews she received from readers

It has been rumoured that The Apprentice star Karren Brady might step into Sara’s shoes once she is gone, as Card Player have named her the favourite to become the businesswoman’s replacement.

The couple exchanged vows in a ceremony lasting about 25 minutes, with family and friends gathered at the event. They were heard cheering, clapping and whistling for the pair after they said ‘I do’.

The pair tied the knot n front of a number of celebrities including the Kardashian-Jenners, Oprah Winfrey and Leonardo DiCaprio. Ivanka Trump was also in attendance as was Rania Al Abdullah, the Queen of Jordan. A Gospel Choir welcomed the guests and the bride and groom into the event, with the choir singing Whitney Houston’s Higher Love.

There was clearly no expense spared on Lauren’s beautiful dress, which featured a huge train and stunning white flower detailing. Her dress was long sleeved, with white floral appliques over a corset style dress.

Opera star Matteo Bocelli performed at the pair’s wedding reception, where he sang Elvis Presley’s song I Can’t Help Falling in Love With You. He is the son of singer Andrea Bocelli, who could not attend as he was in concert.

While the couple have celebrated their wedding today in Venice, it was reported that the pair had actually tied the knot weeks ago. According to a well-placed insider involved in the event planning, they said: “They have been married for at least a month, more than a month. The marriage is fully legal and took place in America under American law.”

Though this week’s festivities have been widely billed as their wedding, the source revealed it’s purely ceremonial. “When they were planning the wedding, they were clear about the fact that they were already secretly married,” the insider said.

Because the legal marriage has already occurred, there was no need for a license in Italy. “There is no application for a wedding licence from the couple because it was not required. Whatever happens at the wedding on Friday, it will not be a wedding.

“Under Italian law, it will not be a wedding celebration, any vows said or rings exchanged will have no legal meaning,” they told Mail Online.

The same source added that Bezos himself confirmed the legal union and noted the pair had arranged a prenuptial agreement to safeguard his $244 billion fortune. Bezos and Sánchez reportedly married privately in the U.S., well before the high-profile Venetian celebration began.

The couple arrived in Venice this week ahead of their lavish wedding celebrations, which will take place over the next few days. A helicopter picked Bezos and his bride-to-be up from his superyacht Koru’s support ship, the Albeona.

They were docked just off the coast of Croatia, with the yacht taking 61-year-old Bezos and Lauren Sanchez, 55, to the city of Venice. It landed in the Venice Lido, which is where the annual Venice Film Festival takes place.

To kicked proceedings off on Thursday night, a casual welcome dinner will be held at the 14th Century Madonna dell’Orto church. Local sources claimed security is ultra-tight, turning the stunning city into a “fortress-like operation”.

The ceremony was expected to take place at the Scuola Grande della Misericordia, an historic 16th-century building in the city centre. But the No Space for Bezos campaign group claim the couple scrambled to change their plans, after activists threatened to block the canals with inflatable crocodiles to stop their guests from attending.

Instead, it’s been moved to Arsenale, a shipyard complex which will be near-impossible for protestors to get to. Lauren Sanchez and her new husband arrived, with Lauren wearing oversized black sunglasses and a simple black halterneck dress.

Meanwhile, their high-profile guests started to descend on the city earlier this week. Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka arrived with her husband Jared Kushner. She wore a green dress and canvas sunhat as she arrived by boat after a day of sightseeing. The couple’s three children, Arabella Rose, Joseph Frederick and Theodore James, joined them.

Other guests to arrive early include Jeff’s adoptive father Miguel Bezos, as well as Orlando Bloom, Katy Perry, Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian. Just 11 people live on the island and its only dwelling is a modest five-bedroom home, previously the guesthouse to a convent which was part of a long-destroyed monastery complex.

The Royal Family rarely dined together due to schedule clashes

A former royal chef who cooked for the likes of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip has revealed the strict meal times the household followed for different family members.

According to former royal chef Darren McGrady, the daily dining schedule in the late monarch’s household was strictly regimented, with each member of the family often eating separately according to their own habits and tastes.

 

“Meal times were fixed,” the chef revealed. “The Queen was very strict and disciplined. Contrary to popular belief, she never called for food at odd hours. They had set meals, and if they wanted something in between, there was always fruit or chocolates in their rooms.”

Breakfast for the late Queen was served at 9am sharp – and surprisingly, it was a modest affair. “The Queen’s breakfast was at 9am, served in her room. She’d help herself to cereal from a Tupperware container, especially Special K, even though there were 20 chefs available to cook anything.”

Her husband, Prince Philip, had different preferences and often dined separately. “Prince Philip, on the other hand, enjoyed more adventurous breakfasts like deviled kidneys,” the chef said.

Lunch was always at 1pm, while dinner was served promptly at 8:15pm, moved to 8:30pm only if the Queen Mother was present. Though the timing was fixed, the food was often traditional and comforting rather than lavish.

“We didn’t do anything over-the-top extravagant. The Queen was very frugal, likely due to her wartime upbringing,” the chef explained. “Ingredients like lobster, caviar, and foie gras were reserved for state banquets. On normal days, she was perfectly happy with comfort food, so we cooked meals like cottage pie.”

Each member of the family, the chef noted, had their own culinary preferences. “Each royal had their favourites. For the Queen, it always came back to indigenous produce – partridge or venison from Sandringham, grouse from Balmoral.

“The had a sweet tooth and loved dark chocolate, especially anything over 60 percent cocoa. Any dessert with chocolate on the menu was sure to be chosen.”

The then-Prince Charles, now King, stood out for his passion for organic and Mediterranean foods. “Charles was the most adventurous. He brought organic food into the royal kitchens long before it became mainstream,” the chef said.

“He’d bring his own hampers with home-grown fruits and vegetables, especially at Sandringham… He also enjoyed foraging for wild mushrooms which he would bring to the kitchens for us to use in meals.”

Despite the modern fascination with dietary requirements, the royal table rarely accommodated special requests.

“During my 11 years with the Queen, we didn’t have a single vegetarian, gluten-free, or lactose-intolerant guest,” the chef revealed. “If you dined with the Queen, you ate what the Queen ate. If you didn’t like it, you’d stop for a McDonald’s on the way home.”+

And while garlic wasn’t outright banned, it was subtly left out of the late monarch’s meals. “There weren’t banned foods, but the Queen didn’t like garlic or strong onions, viewing them as antisocial,” the chef said. “Prince Philip, however, loved garlic and would have it at his dinner parties.”

The younger royals had a more relaxed approach. Prince William and Prince Harry were fond of comfort food, and occasionally indulged in fast food.

“Wills and Harry loved cottage pie, pizza, chicken nuggets, french fries, potato wedges, macaroni cheese,” the chef recalled.

“One lunchtime, the Princess came in and said, ‘Cancel lunch today. I’m taking them out.’ I asked, ‘Where are you going?’ and she said, ‘McDonald’s.’ I said, ‘I can do burgers better than McDonald’s,’ and she said, ‘I know that Darren, but they want the toys in the Happy Meal.’”

For royal events such as state banquets, the chefs prepared more extravagant dishes. “A state visit takes a lot of planning,” the chef explained. “We’d get likes, dislikes, and dietary restrictions from the Foreign Office, then plan four menus and send them to the Queen – she’d choose one.”

The Queen’s taste remained consistent even for formal occasions. “Dessert was often a bombe glacée – an ice cream dish. The Queen loved ice cream or chocolate desserts,” he added.

If there’s one sporting tournament that’s guaranteed to bring in a royal crowd – it’s Wimbledon. The tennis grand slam tournament returns for another year on Monday and regular royal spectators usually include the Princess of Wales, Zara and Mike Tindall – and even Queen Camilla.

Last year, she made an unnannounced visit to the All England Club to watch the quarter finals action from the Royal Box on Centre Court with her sister Annabel Elliot. The outing came during a tumultuous time for Camilla, who during the early part of 2024 had been keeping the royal show on the road while her husband King Charles and Kate took time out from public duties as they were both diagnosed with cancer.

But amid the worrying time, she was able to relax somewhat on a day out at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, where she wore a cream linen dress featuring large giraffe motifs by Anna Valentine, with a Jack Russell brooch from Van Cleef and Arpels.

On arriving at the championships, she met former player Laura Robson, who works in international player relations. And tellingly the Queen told her about her day out that it was it was “so nice to be able to escape for a day”.

Meanwhile, Camilla also praised head gardener Martyn Falconer, who has worked at Wimbledon for 25 years and cares for all the plants around the grounds. “It all looks fantastic. It always looks absolutely perfect,” she told him.

She also met another Camila – the daughter of Mexican doubles player Santiago Gonzalez – after the youngster boldly introduced herself to the royal guest. The Queen said “fancy having two Camillas here” and asked if she would like a picture together, and had a peek at Camila’s Wimbledon pass by holding her lanyard to read it.

She spent time chatting to ball girl Natalia, from Burntwood School in Wandsworth, and ball boy Yug, from Harris Academy Wimbledon, asking them which courts they worked on and how much they had been enjoying the experience.

It has not been confirmed yet if Kate is set to attend SW19 during the Wimbledon fortnight this year as she is still gradually returning to royal duties following her cancer treatment.

Confusion was sparked last week when it was announced that Kate, who is in remission from cancer, would not be attending the second day of Royal Ascot festival.

It came after her name originally appeared on the official list of those taking part in a carriage procession alongside her husband Prince William as well as the King and Queen. When it was confirmed that she would not be attending, sources said she is still trying to find the right balance following her cancer diagnosis and subsequent chemotherapy treatment.

On Loose Women on Wednesday (June 25), the panel chatted about the news that Britain is said to be buying 12 new fighter jets capable of carrying nuclear bombs. This comes after a government warning that the nation must actively prepare for wartime scenarios at home.

Afterwards, Kaye brought up the huge amount of information out there. Talking about the influx of news they receive, Kelly Brook said: “I wake up every morning and I just reach for my phone just to get an update on what is going on.”

Denise then chimed in: “We are easily controlled by fear. We learned that during Covid days, and I remember Nadia [Sawalha] and I used to talk and call it the ‘scroll of terror’ that you woke up and it was terrifying.”

She added: “But it’s about clickbait and the thing is, as someone who suffers from anxiety, I’ve got to try and be informed, and be aware of how much I’m going down the rabbit hole.”

Janet Street Porter then shared: “As a journalist, I do think most complex situations can be explained so people can understand them. But I can’t take away from the fact that Denise is right.”

The show then cut to Denise, who appeared to pout as she flicked her head and shoulders back.

Jane added: “We do seem to live in a time where things have been wrapped up in a more frightening level.”

Fans spot ‘tension’ on Loose Women

Fans were quick to point out that they thought they’re spotted ‘tension’ between Denise and Janet.

“LOL, Denise’s face just then,” said one person.

Someone else added: “Densy’s face,” alongside a video of the awkward moment.

A third said: “Really weirdly, she’s done that something like three times this episode already. Has a face like thunder whenever JSP talks, but doesn’t seem to realise the camera’s cut to her.”

Speaking last month, Denise – who first appeared on Loose Women in 2005 – addressed constant speculation about spats between the panellists by insisting the show is “about us”.

She claimed the programme has to be that way as it is opinion-led and relies on anecdotes from those appearing.

But Denise also maintained that while the show’s personalities may disagree on air, that doesn’t indicate they are ‘feuding’.

His dash to get medical help comes amid the family fallout that has affected the Beckham family. David’s eldest son Brooklyn, 26, has distanced himself from his parents and siblings after skipping all of the football icon’s birthday celebrations last month.

The rift continued as Brooklyn and wife Nicola stayed away from the parties despite being in the UK at the time. Brooklyn has since reportedly cut contact with his famous family and has publicly shown his support to his wife instead.

In a series of blows, Brooklyn failed to celebrate David’s long awaited knighthood or Father’s Day. Earlier today, he promoted his sauce brand but at the time of writing, has yet to post about David’s injury. Victoria has given fans an update.

Victoria was the first to raise concern about David as she shared a snap of him lying in a hospital bed, with his arm in a sling. “Get well soon, Daddy,” she wrote over the snap of him smiling while wearing a hospital gown.

She also gave him a friendship bracelet made with white beads to form ‘Get Well Soon’. The couple have yet to reveal what happened to the former England star.

However, it has since been reported that David underwent secret surgery to repair a broken wrist that he sustained 22 years ago – during a friendly football match against South Africa in 2003.

David recently revealed his long-running career left him with multiple injuries and years of “wear and tear”. He said: “Certain parts of my body were a real mess.”

As Brooklyn chose to stay silent on his family in recent weeks, he has been keen to show the love for wife Nicola. In a recent post on social media, Brooklyn teased in the caption that she’s his world.

He wrote “my” alongside an emoji depicting the globe. Beside a heart emoji, he also commented over the photo: “My absolute angel.” However, a few hours later, he returned to his page to share a message to David’s mother Sandra.

In the first reference to his own family in weeks, he marked his grandmother’s birthday with a post that included a photo of him beside her. Brooklyn wrote: “Happy birthday nanny xx love you so much.”

David also shared a gushing post of his own to celebrate his mother’s birthday, and made sure to give Brooklyn a nod. He captioned the tribute post: “Happy birthday mum we love you so much I hope u have the best day.

Despite snubbing his own dad and mum’s birthdays this year on social media, Brooklyn made sure to wish Nicola’s father, Nelson, a happy birthday in a sweet post shared on his Stories this week. “Happy birthday, Nelson, we love you,” he wrote.

Katie Price quickly deleted a gushing post to daughter Princess as she gets ready to celebrate her 18th birthday. The mum-of-five took to social media to share a loving upload – but quickly removed it.

The 47-year-old former glamour model shares the teen with ex-husband Peter Andre. And taking to her Instagram Stories to mark the latest milestone, she said: “Happy 18th birthday to the most amazing daughter and my best friend @princess_andre I love you so much.”

However, her words came a few days too early, with Princess’ birthday not being until Sunday. Katie swiftly removed her upload.

Replacing it wit a new post, she went on to say: “2 days until Princess turns 18 can’t believe it xx” She shared the sweet words with a snap of her daughter.

She days before she turns 18, Princess Andre revealed the lavish top-of-the-range Audi she bough as a present to herself – with a bit of help from her dad. She also admitted she is planning several celebrations.+

But she admitted she won’t be going crazy to mark the milestone. “To be honest, I’m not fussed on doing a big thing,” she told us in her exclusive photo shoot for the occasion.

“I’ll be very happy with a quiet dinner and maybe going somewhere after, so long as it’s memorable and the people I love – my family and friends – are with me. I’ve left it in my dad and Emily’s hands. It’s going to be a surprise.”

And speaking of how she will celebrate with her mum, she added: “Maybe we’ll have a nice dinner together. I’m sure Mum will have something planned for me.”

But a trip to the club is seemingly off the agenda. “I’m not really a big drinker or a big party-goer, but it’ll be nice to be able to go to pubs and stuff with my friends,” Princess says. “But at the same time, I’m not the sort of person who would embarrass myself. I’ll never put myself in a position that would make me look bad.”

Earlier this month Princess modelled beachwear at Ibiza Fashion Festival 2025, which was hosted by TV presenter Jenny Powell. She was among those who helped open the festival at Bibo Park in Ibiza on June 12. The event is described as an independent sustainable fashion show on the island off the coast of Spain.

Princess represented the beachwear brand Greta, which has a flagship store in the Dominican Republic, at the event. It comes after she made her modelling debut for PrettyLittleThing last year. She had also collaborated with the fashion retailer previously.

Rumours had suggested Princess could have sorted a deal with the brand, with speculation saying it could be worth a four-figure fee.

Afurious Nadia Sawalha blasted recent coverage of Donald Trump and bombings in the Middle East as “disgusting” on Loose Women today, with viewers reckoning the former EastEnders actress was “on one”.

Nadia, 60, waved her arms in exasperation as she seethed over the US President being referred to as ‘Daddy’ as he attended the NATO summit in Amsterdam this week.

“We are in the hands of maniacs,” Nadia declared as she addressed the crisis in Gaza, as well as the conflict between Israel and Iran. But while some Loose Women viewers pledged their support for her on social media, other users rolled their eyes at Nadia expressing her opinion.

Thursday’s (June 26) episode began with host Kaye Adams asking panellists Oti Mabuse, Jane Moore and Nadia for their takes on Mark Rutte, Secretary General of NATO, praising Trump as “Daddy”. It was also noted how the White House have shared a ‘Daddy’s Home’ video since the remarks were made.

Nadia made her contempt clear as she raged about the violence that has been inflicted in recent days, as well as in Gaza.

Admitting her first reaction to the video was to laugh with incredulity, she listed off the issues concerning her in international politics before sarcastically adding: “You want to sit there and call him ‘Daddy’?”

Nadia continued: “We are in the hands of maniacs that don’t seem to care about human beings. Don’t joke when people are being killed day in, day out.”

Viewers picked up on Nadia’s unhappiness within moments of her opening her mouth to pass comment.

Meghan Markle has raised eyebrows by revealing her brand-new wine will be launched on a major royal anniversary. In addition to selling out of her new products from her As Ever range, the Duchess of Sussex also revealed that her next item for sale would be a rose wine.

The rose is described as having “soft notes of stone fruit, gentle minerality, and a lasting finish” and is from California’s Napa Valley. It is available to buy next week and will launch on the As Ever website on Tuesday, which is July 1 – the date that Princess Diana was born in 1961.

Diana, the mother-in-law that Meghan never met, tragically died in August 1997 aged just 36 following a car crash in Paris. The day Meghan’s wine launches would have been her 64th birthday.

But many have criticised the move on social media, given the significance of the date. Taking to X, one wrote: “She is incredibly tone-deaf” while another added: “Not surprised.” Meanwhile, another wrote: “Meghan needs to stop living her life according to the royal calendar.”

However, others believed the date did not matter, with one fan writing: “You lot always look for something when it comes to the Duchess of Sussex. That date also gives a two-week buffer after her other product orders.” While another said: “It’s just a date what’s wrong with that???”

However, July 1 has double significance for Meghan and Prince Harry, as it also marks the first time they ever connected in 2016. Writing in his memoir Spare, Harry revealed that he first messaged Meghan after seeing a selfie of her on Instagram on what would have been his late mother’s 55th birthday.

He recounted in the book: “Eventually, we exchanged phone numbers and mitigated the conversation over to text, going late into the night.

“It occurred to me how uncanny, how surreal, how bizarre, that this marathon conversation should have begun on July 1, 2016. My mother’s fifty-fifth birthday.”

Meghan’s wine comes after her new range of As Ever items went on sale last week including a “limited edition orange blossom honey” at a cost of 28 dollars (£20).

Also available were an apricot spread in “keepsake packaging”, and a crepe mix, both £10 each, flower sprinkles for £11 and a range of different herbal teas at £9 for a box of 12 sachets.

The new range went on sale at 4pm UK time, and had all sold out by just before 8pm. Meghan had promised some “delicious surprises” as she teased, that she would be offering some new products on the site.

She previously said the original April launch had been “absolutely extraordinary”. But she also spoke of her fear that she annoyed customers when the first batch of her jam and herbal teas sold out in less than an hour. She said wanted to wait until it is “completely stable and we have everything we need”.
