Singer-songwriter Perrie Edwards has opened up about seeking support from therapists to help her deal with panic attacks. The Little Mix member spoke about her experience amid the news that she has taken on a new role.

Perrie, 31, has spoken candidly about experiencing anxiety and panic attacks, with her having raised awareness around mental health over the years. The BRIT Award winner has also previously discussed her experience with agoraphobia.

The X Factor winner has previously revealed that she “never” on her own due to her fear of having a fatal panic attack. She’s shared that her symptoms of panic attacks include eyesight issues and eventually difficulty breathing.

She has now spoken further about her experience, including sharing her thoughts on therapy. Perrie’s latest comments come amid the news that that she is now a celebrity ambassador for the mental health charity Mind.

Whilst speaking to Metro over the news, Perrie gave an update on her own mental health. She told the outlet that she is “trying to be at peace” with her anxiety and its physical symptoms, rather than fearing potential panic attacks.

She added that she has “tried everything,” sharing that she has tried “all different kinds” of therapy. Perrie then gave an insight into some of her experiences with therapists, including revealing that she has taken a therapist to work with her.

The singer shared with the outlet that therapists have tried to coach her on strategies for dealing with panic attacks in the past. She however suggested that “everything goes out the window” when she actually experiences one.

Perrie shared: “Last year, maybe in September, I started to take my therapist to work with me, which I know is a very privileged situation.” She added in the interview that she’s aware that many people don’t even have a therapist.

She said that she wanted to “make the most of it” though. Perrie explained that she decided to take her therapist to work with her each day and get them to coach her through any panic attack “there and then” in the moment itself.

Sharing her thoughts on the decision, Perrie told the outlet in the interview, which was published earlier today: “It’s the best thing I’ve ever done.” She went on to add that she now wishes that she had done it sooner.

Perrie’s comments come just weeks after she was seen discussing her experience with panic attacks on the Alison Hammond’s Big Weekend. She was the guest for the first episode of the BBC show, which was released last month.

Speaking to host Alison Hammond, she said: “I’ve developed panic disorder, so it’s the fear of having a panic attack.” She explained that she developed that fear after she started suffering from “severe” panic attacks a few years ago.

Perrie shared: “So I was like if I’m on my own and I have a panic attack I might die and nobody will be here to help.” Providing an insight into the impact that has on her life, she went on to say: “So that’s why I’m never on my own.”

Later in the episode, she told Alison that her first panic attack occurred after she had an over-the-counter caffeine shot during a trip to Las Vegas with her bandmates from Little Mix some years ago. Perrie said: “I honestly thought I was having a heart attack from whatever was in [it].”

She recalled “pacing” around her room and having panic attacks, sharing that she ended up in hospital. Perrie added: “After that incident I just kept having them like again and again.” She suggested that the experience had been a “trigger” and said her anxiety was then “through the roof”.

Asked about the signs of a panic attack, she said: “My arms go limp. My legs go limp. And then my eyesight starts to go. And then I can’t see anything. And then my heart starts racing and then I just can’t breathe. And I just feel like I’m gonna die so I start freaking out.”

What do you think to Prince Harry’s bizarre plan for his kids?

Prince Harry and Meghan may have stepped back from royal life – but they’re not shutting the palace gates for their kids just yet. The couple reportedly want Archie and Lilibet to keep their titles, sparking debate over whether it’s about choice … or mixed messages.

Despite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepping away from their royal duties and all the palace drama a while ago, it seems they’re keeping the door open for their kids to walk a different path.

They reportedly want Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to hang onto their royal titles – just in case they decide they do want to be working royals one day. Apparently, Harry and Meghan see it as giving their kids the option when they’re older. It came after the source spoke out and claimed the Sussexes feared passports for their children were being held up due to the use of their royal titles.

It has all raised a few eyebrows., with former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond asking why the Sussexes are holding so tightly to the titles when they’ve been so outspoken about wanting out of the royal system in the first place.

So, what do you think? Is Harry being thoughtful about giving his kids future choices — or is it a bit contradictory after everything he and Meghan have said about the monarchy? What do you think to Harry’s plan? Take our poll below.

Jennie Bond told the Mirror: “I really don’t understand why, having extricated themselves from a life they did not enjoy and in which Harry has publicly spoken of ‘feeling trapped’, they want to give their children the option of re-joining. It makes no sense.

“Who knows what’s going to happen in the future? But it’s very hard to see how two children who are clearly now more American than British would want to change their whole way of life and become working members of the royal family.”

Archie and Lilibet got prince and princess titles when their grandfather King Charles became monarch in 2022. The first time their titles were formally announced was after Lilibet’s christening in March 2023.

Due to the reported hold-up in their British passports, it is said that Harry started to explore the possibility of changing his family surname to Spencer in a nod to his late mother, Princess Diana.

And Jennie added: “I think Harry has always been more Spencer than Windsor, so if he was ever going to change his name, it would be to Spencer.

“But this would be a final nail in the coffin of his relationship with his father and his brother. It would amount to a public declaration that he no longer saw himself as part of the royal family.”

There has been continued controversy over the Sussexes’ HRH titles since the pair quit their royal roles five years ago. As part of their Megxit negotiations with the Palace, Meghan and the Duke of Sussex agreed to stop using “Her Royal Highness” and “His Royal Highness” at the end of March 2020. They still retain the styles, with Harry having had his since birth, but they are essentially held in abeyance.

However, earlier this year, it emerged Meghan had used her HRH style on a gift basket sent to make-up entrepreneur Jamie Kern Lima last year, with a monogrammed card reading: “With Compliments of HRH The Duchess of Sussex”.

Kern Lima showed an image of the present in footage of her podcast interview with Meghan. It contained a jar of Meghan’s jam which she has started selling as part of her As Ever lifestyle business brand.

A source described the basket as a “personal gift”. The duchess’s representatives denied that the couple used them, but a source later said that the Sussexes did not use HRH publicly but retained the style, and did not use it for commercial purposes.

Royal expert Jennie Bond has questioned Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s reported plan they’ve hatched for the future for their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may no longer be working royals or carry out duties for the King. But the couple reportedly don’t want to rule out their children opting to support the monarchy, despite their bombshell move to quit their royal roles.

Insiders close to the Sussexes have said they want Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to retain their titles and HRH styles so they can choose to become working royals if they so wish when they are adults. It came after the source spoke out and claimed the Sussexes feared passports for their children were being held up due to the use of their royal titles.

The couple are said to have been left exasperated as they waited months for British passports to arrive and reportedly believed it was due to the fact they included their children’s royal titles on the application. But former BBC royal expert Jennie Bond has questioned why Harry and Meghan appear so keen to cling onto titles for their children – even though they have previously railed against the institution of monarchy.

She told the : “I really don’t understand why, having extricated themselves from a life they did not enjoy and in which Harry has publicly spoken of ‘feeling trapped’, they want to give their children the option of re-joining. It makes no sense.

  • Adored EastEnders star to quit after four years on BBC soap in search of new opportunities!

Adored EastEnders star to quit after four years on BBC soap in search of new opportunities!

Following his success on Strictly Come Dancing in 2023, Bobby Brazier received new opportunities and has decided now is the right time to leave EastEnders

Bobby Brazier is set to depart from EastEnders after a four-year stint. The 22-year-old actor and model, known for his role as Freddie Slater, has attracted numerous offers following his runner-up finish on Strictly Come Dancing in 2023. His exit from Albert Square is scheduled for later this year.

An EastEnders spokesperson confirmed, “We can confirm that Bobby Brazier will be leaving EastEnders, and we wish him all the best for the future.”

According to a source close to the show: “Bosses recently met with Bobby to discuss a potential storyline, but Bobby felt this was the right moment to explore new ventures beyond the series.
“The timing aligned perfectly for both parties. Although his final scenes are some time away, the character has enjoyed a strong run, and now is the time for Bobby to pursue fresh opportunities while EastEnders bids farewell to Freddie Slater,” they told The Sun.

Bobby’s exit from EastEnders coincides with a wave of bold casting choices by new executive producer Ben Wadey, who is bringing back fan favourites like Michelle Ryan (Zoe Slater), Jake Wood (Max Branning), and Max Bowden (Ben Mitchell). Meanwhile, Lacey Turner is stepping away from her role as Stacey Slater for a break.

Since joining the soap as Freddie Slater in 2022, Bobby has gone on to win a National Television Award for Rising Star and even appeared in the Paramount+ drama Curfew while continuing his work on EastEnders.

Clearly thriving in his craft, Bobby recently shared: “I love my job. I love being on EastEnders and I love modelling. But I’ll probably take a break at some point. Just travel, get inspired, meet new people.”

Reflecting on his journey, the once-reserved 22-year-old admitted that fame hasn’t always sat comfortably with him – especially during his Strictly Come Dancing run, where he initially “wanted to get voted off.”

Bobby connects his discomfort in the spotlight to the loss of his mother, Jade Goody, when he was just five years old. “I don’t want to be famous. Maybe I did when I was younger. Now I just want to act,” he said.

Freddie’s early storyline saw him mistakenly believe Billy Mitchell was his dad, confronting him swiftly and emotionally – a debut that showed how Brazier can “blow us away” with raw emotion.

He then embarked on a heartfelt journey with ADHD representation. One scene of Freddie revisiting past school trauma by confronting an old teacher received acclaim. Fans praised the depth of his emotional portrayal, showing how the character’s grief and anger were believable both on and off-screen.

In a powerful 2023 arc, Freddie defended Stacey Slater from a violent assault attempt by Theo Hawthorne. He attacked Theo with an iron – echoing Little Mo’s past – delivering a performance that had audiences in tears and earned widespread praise.

Most recently, Freddie uncovered the traumatic truth that his biological father is Graham Foster – his mother’s assailant. The plot reveals Freddie’s emotional turmoil and determination as he seeks out Graham at a car dealership.

In emotional scenes that followed, he decided firmly to cut ties with Graham, leaving many viewers deeply moved.

Stacey Dooley has been criticised by some fans after it was announced that Lily Phillips will be starring in the new season of her TV show.

The presenter’s show Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over, which sees her spend 72 hours in the company of a wide range of characters and families, is returning for a sixth season. It will air on U and U&W later this year, with 23-year-old OnlyFans star Lily – known for having sex with 100 men in a day – starring in the first episode.

As part of the series, Stacey will meet Lily in her London home to learn more about her career and what the content creator does. As news of the new season was announced this week, Stacey, 38, said: “I’m thrilled to be back for another series of Sleeps Over!

The OnlyFans star is known for her stunt of having sex with 100 men in a day(Image: Lily Phillips/Instagram)

“Truly, it’s such a loved format and people always remind me of their fave moments when I’m out and about. We’ve got another 3 episodes that you’re gonna love! The themes we touch on feel incredibly timely. As always, a sincere thank you to those families who agree to open their doors. Strap in!”

U&W director of programming Adam Collings added: “Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over has become a U&W audience favourite, no doubt due to the array of families and their stories, but of course Stacey being at the heart and gaining unprecedented access to their homes. Her warmth and compassion allow for a safe judgement-free environment, giving viewers an open and honest conversation, which is what makes this series so special.”

After news of the upcoming season was shared on social media, many fans congratulated Stacey, but others expressed their disappointment at the fact that Lily will be starring in it. One wrote on Instagram: “Pretty grim giving that deviant airtime, not a single positive thing can come from the trainwreck of her life, screams if the worst click bait, expected better tbh.”

While some fans expressed their support for Stacey, others criticizing her for giving Lily a platform(Image: UKTV)

Another said: “Really disappointing, just don’t think Stacey Dooley should be promoting or giving this girl a platform. Lowest derivative entertainment, a real regression in content from you Stacey.” Someone else joked: “If she is sleeping over at Lilly Phillips’ gaff I strongly suggest she gets the sheets fumigated!”

However, some people were more supportive with one saying: “Omg wow this will be so interesting!!!!” Someone else added: “Can’t wait. Love these shows x.”

Another praised Stacey for giving Lily a platform to talk about herself, writing: “This is so exciting! I was so touched by the documentary that came out about her and have been wanting to hear more about her. Stacey is the perfect person for this I absolutely love the compassionate and thoughtful way she covers sex workers.”

Dan Osborne’s one word response to Jacqueline Jossa amid Christine McGuinness text row!

Reality star Dan Osborne seems to be working hard to win over his wife Jacqueline Jossa again after his texts to ex-model and singleton Christine McGuinness were revealed

The pair were rumoured to have split earlier on this year(Image: Dave Benett/Getty Images)

Towie star Dan Osbourne has never shied away from a series of marital mishaps, and his most recent one involved the ex-wife of TV presenter Paddy McGuinness. The 33-year-old has been adamant that nothing happened romantically between the two and has suggested that these texts were “deep fakes” or even AI.

Alongside the alleged flirty messages, the model has shared that Dan had joined her for some nights out to help and lift her spirits after a difficult divorce from her husband. It’s thought that the two were comforting one another amidst issues with their marriages.

Now, after the texts were unveiled, Jaqueline posted a glamorous photo of her on Instagram, attending the British Soap Awards 2025, and Dan responded with a public comment. Beneath the post of her stunning in a long black gown, the reality star simply commented: “Beautiful!”, which received hundreds of likes.

At the time of his interactions with the model, it’s believed that Dan was still building bridges with his wife, Jacqueline, facing the heat of previous cheating rumours. To add further speculation, earlier this year, The Sun reported that the reality star had in fact moved out of his family home, which he shares with his actress wife, and into a secret place of his own.

A supposed source close to Christine said: “She is absolutely adamant nothing sexual happened between them. She also was 100 per cent single at the time and could chat to anyone she wanted,” The Sun reported.

Meanwhile a friend of Dan’s, according to The Sun, shared: “Dan is devoted to Jacqueline and would hate for any suggestion of impropriety. Of course, it’s possible for a man and woman to be mates.”

The famous couple first met back in 2013 at an awards ceremony, and by 2014, the two announced that they were having a baby together. Then after the birth of their daughter Ella, the pair got engaged and soon tied the knot at Cheshire Manor House in 2017.

The married couple first met in 2013(Image: Jacqueline Jossa/Instagram)

However, it wasn’t long until things seemed to go downhill, and the two decided to split when Jacqueline was pregnant with their second child together. By the time their baby was born, rumours began to swirl about Dan’s fling with Love Island star Gabby Allen, and later, when the two got back together, another ex-Islander, Alexandra Cane.

Meanwhile it’s been confirmed that the two are still together and that Dan’s secret ‘lad pad’ was in fact just a property investment for financial purposes. Christine, on the other hand, is still amicably living with her ex-husband and has been on a journey of her own recently with the success of her documentary about her struggles with autism.

It’s believed that the star has recently pulled out of the popular Channel 4 dating show Celebs Go Dating, which comes after her recent relationship confession. Christine has revealed that despite her 11-year marriage to Paddy McGuinness, since she was a teenager, she has been interested in both men and women.

Meghan Markle’s awkward joke to Kate Middleton met with ‘yawning silence’ at huge event!

In his memoir Spare, Prince Harry recalled how his sister-in-law the Princess of Wales asked his new wife Meghan Markle what she thought of her first Trooping the Colour in 2018 – and it seems the response was awkward

It’s just days before one of the biggest events in the royal calendar – Trooping the Colour. It sees all the royals out in force for the annual Sovereign’s Birthday Parade followed by them Firm appearing on the Buckingham Palace balcony.

In recent years, spots on the balcony for the RAF flypast have been reserved for working members of the monarchy only – however, this wasn’t always the case. And before quitting as working royals and carving out a new life in the United States, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were regulars at the major event. Meghan’s first appearance was in 2018, just weeks after she tied the knot with Prince Harry in a fairytale ceremony in Windsor Castle.

But in Harry’s controversial memoir, Spare, it was revealed Meghan tried to crack a joke with her sister-in-law Kate, but it led to a “yawning silence”.

At that year’s event, Meghan looked stunning in a baby pink dress and matching hat, standing proudly next to her new husband who was dressed in his military uniform. And while Meghan was seen chatting with Kate, William and Camilla, Harry claims things were far more awkward behind-the-scenes.

Harry claims that once they stepped back inside, Kate asked Meghan what she thought of her first Trooping the Colour and she replied: “Colourful”. Harry writes: “A yawning silence threatened to swallow us all whole”.

The Sussexes attended Trooping the Colour the following year, but since that they’ve not been on the balcony with the rest of the royals. And it seems Meghan has another important event to go to on the same day of Trooping this year.

It has been revealed she will speak as the guest of honour at a museum’s Night of Wonder in the US, as part of her work championing community wellbeing.

Meghan will be joined by other high-profile guests at the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles, as the space is transformed into an enchanted nocturnal garden. The event will feature live music and installations representing local ecosystems and the LA landscape, and guests will be treated to a farm-to-table dinner that uses ingredients from the museum’s nature gardens.

The duchess’s mission to advance community wellbeing and uplift young women “dovetails with the museums’ approach to connecting community and science by fostering meaningful educational experiences that empower young minds”, the Office of Prince Harry and Meghan said.

Among the programmes shared on the website of their charity, the Archewell Foundation, is The Welcome Project, where Meghan focuses on addressing “the social isolation recently resettled women experience around the world and building more inclusive and connected communities”.

NHMLAC’s president and director Lori Bettison-Varga said: “We are proud to honour Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, a native Angeleno, whose work to advance community wellbeing and expand opportunity, especially for underserved communities, aligns with our equity-focused approach to developing science literacy for the next generation, including through our Stem and Steam Pathways programmes.”

Prince William’s ‘last-minute text sparked ceasefire’ in bitter feud with Prince Harry!

Despite the high-profile estrangement between Prince Harry and Prince William having no end in sight, one simple olive branch saw the brothers join together in a poignant and emotional reunion

Prince William turbulent relationship with Prince Harry has been a major topic of discussion for years, with the royal brothers having long been stuck in a very public stalemate.

But despite there seemingly being no possibility of reconciliation in the near future, one major family event saw the brothers put their differences aside and call a temporary truce almost three years ago. The pair have not seen each other during Harry’s recent trips back to the UK, including for the court case over his security arrangements in the country, which he fought – and ultimately lost – to have police protection for him and his family when returning to his homeland.

The feud between William and Harry came to a temporary end several years ago(Image: POOL/AFP via Getty Images)

And although William and Harry’s relationship continues to be at an all time low, which is largely linked to a series of bombshells detailed in Harry’s memoir Spare, their feud came to an abrupt – albeit temporary – truce in 2022 after the death of their grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

William reportedly reached out to Harry via text in the days after Her Late Majesty’s passing, asking if Harry and Meghan wished to join him and Kate on the Long Walk in Windsor, to view floral tributes and meet grieving members of the public who had gathered to pay their respects to the monarch.

Their display of solidarity was the first and only time that the two royal couples, who had once affectionately been referred to as the ‘Fab Four’, had been seen together in public since Harry and Meghan took a step back from their duties as senior royals and relocated to California.

The last time the Fab Four were seen together(Image: Getty Images)

A well-placed source told the Daily Mail at the time: “It happened very quickly – remarkable really considering they didn’t see each other in Scotland.”

The publication went on to confirm that it was William’s decision to extend the olive branch to his brother, and “absolutely not” the idea of his father King Charles, as was previously reported.

It claimed William felt that a united front was essential in the wake of the Queen’s death, as the family reunited to share in their collective grief in front of the world.

Both brothers had flown to Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire when they had been informed of the Queen’s failing health, but both they tragically missed the chance to say their last goodbyes to their grandmother, arriving in Scotland after the Queen had died.

In the months after Queen Elizabeth’s passing, Prince Harry’s bombshell memoir Spare was released, in which he claimed he found out about his grandmother’s death via the media and not from his family.

However, royal author Robert Hardman claims Harry’s version of events isn’t true, instead insisting that the royal family attempted to contact Harry to discuss the Queen’s health. Hardman wrote: “In his memoir, Spare he suggests that no one had told him and that he was reduced to learning the news from the BBC website as the plane was landing. Not exactly.”

“A member of the Palace staff says that the King had been urgently trying to make contact with his younger son. There were repeated attempts to get through to him but no calls were going through because Harry was airborne,’ said the official.”

Despite the brothers not having seen each other in several years, it seems that the royal feud between the brothers is still very much alive. Earlier this week, William’s joked about warring families that seemed to stem from his own personal history.

As William visited Harry’s old Army regiment – the Army Air Corps in Suffolk – on Wednesday, he joked with servicemen and women about not always wanting to see their families.

During an important discussion as the Colonel-in-Chief about the welfare of service people in the regiment, he lightened the mood when he joked, after asking one soldier if he spent enough time with his family “some of them might not want to see you that much – it’s a mixed bag”.

Meghan Markle’s ‘reaction’ to discovering Prince Harry’s real ‘net worth’!

A royal author claimed she “needed to rethink her assumptions”

Meghan Markle needed to “reassess” after she became aware of the Prince Harry‘s net worth, a royal author has claimed.

In a recent episode of the Duchess of Sussex’s Confessions of a Female Founder podcast, she admitted that people can fall prey to a “scarcity mindset” about money, with worries of never having enough. Contrastingly, Meghan also addressed a “guilt mentality surrounding having a lot” of wealth.

However, in a recent book from Tom Quinn, it was claimed Meghan Markle came in for a surprise when the true state of her husband’s finances became apparent.

Meghan Markle’s ‘reaction’ to Prince Harry’s net worth

In Yes Ma’am: The Secret Life of Royal Servants, Mr Quinn claimed that when Meghan “discovered” Prince Harry was “only worth about £20 million, she realised she needed to reassess other assumptions she’d made about this strange new family”.

He wrote: “Meghan Markle had a typically American view of the royal family before she joined it. For her, the royal family was all about castles, glittering balls and limitless wealth and ease. As one royal staff member put it: ‘She expected a billionaire and she got a millionaire.’”

Tom claimed that Harry was “deeply shocked at Meghan’s reaction when she discovered that he was not personally hugely wealthy”.

For her, life was all about castles, glittering balls and limitless wealth and ease.

Mr Quinn also claimed in his book the alleged assumption was “perfectly understandable” given the duchess’ background.

What is Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s net worth?

According to online sources, Meghan and Harry may be worth up to $60 million (nearly £45 million).

The claim is said to include his inheritances from his late mother Princess Diana, and the Queen Mother who died in 2002.

Prince Harry and his brother are said to have gained access to up to a combined £20 million from their mum. This amount was said to have come to them when they were in their twenties. And Prince Harry is also reported to have been entitled to a share of a trust fund said to total £14 million when he turned 40 thanks to his late great-grandmother.

Furthermore, it is claimed Prince Harry’s net worth may have doubled since 2017 after meeting Meghan.

Prince Harry ‘warned’ against changing his last name to Spencer by Princess Diana’s brother!!!

It would have affected his kids Archie and Lilibet directly

Prince Harry consulted the brother of his late mother Princess Diana over changing his last name to Spencer, it has been reported.

According to the Mail on Sunday, the Duke of Sussex sought advice from Charles Spencer over whether he should take the surname of the maternal side of his family during a trip to the UK.

However, it also claimed Prince Harry‘s uncle advised against such a move due to the obstacles that could be encountered.

What is Prince Harry’s official last name?

Prince Harry’s official last name is Mountbatten-Windsor.

His full name is Henry Charles Albert David. But of course, we know him as Harry.

Did Prince Harry change his surname?

The newspaper claims Prince Harry “actively explored” ways in which he may make use of Princess Diana’s maiden name.

Additionally, it is implied Mountbatten-Windsor – the surname available to descendants of the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, and used by Prince Harry’s children – would be dropped.

However, according to the report, Prince Harry was told the resulting legal hurdles would be “insurmountable”.

Spencer advised him against taking such a step.

“They had a very amicable conversation and Spencer advised him against taking such a step,” an unnamed friend of Prince Harry is quoted as saying.

    Prince Harry royal name ‘rift’

Nonetheless, the newspaper considers the claim to be a proposal that would “dismay” Prince William and King Charles.

Furthermore, it is framed as a “vivid expression of the toxic rift with [Prince Harry’s] family”. That’s because, the Mail suggests, the king “cherishes the Mountbatten name just as his father did”.

The late Prince Philip adopted the Mountbatten name from his mentor, the 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma – murdered by the IRA in 1979 – when he became a British subject in 1947.

Royal Insider has contacted representatives for Prince Harry for comment on MailOnline’s claims.

Harry ‘delivered insult’ to King Charles over last name discussions

Meanwhile, one royal commentator has additionally claimed the Sussexes may not have “thought out” how changing names could impact their standing.

Speaking about the report on GB News yesterday (Sunday June 1), host Anne Diamond expressed her shock at the “insult” from Prince Harry.

It comes after Harry made a public plea during a BBC interview last month. He said said he’d love to have a “reconciliation” with his estranged family.

“I can’t think of a more hurtful insult that Harry could deliver to his father, can you?” she asked author Richard Fitzwilliams.

She went on: “To say, ‘I no longer want your name. I want my mother’s name.’ It’s like declaring a divorce, only worse.”

Mr Fitzwilliams responded by pondering whether other moves could be contemplated by the Sussexes.

He said: “The problem with the Sussexes is, clearly very little has been thought out. They are supposed to have advisers.”

Meanwhile, speaking to the Express, Mr Fitzwilliams shared his thoughts on what the king might think.

He said: “This news will be deeply hurtful to King Charles, especially as it would have been a very public renunciation of the royal family only a relatively short time after he (Charles) had become king.”

The royal commentator said the king may feel “appalled” by Harry’s “drastic step”. He also insisted this will only “widen the royal rift”.
