Logan Paul claims he REJECTED an offer to fight Mike Tyson because he thought the 57-year-old icon was ‘too old and senile’… as his brother Jake, 27 prepares to fight the veteran in July

Logan Paul has claimed that he was offered a fight with Mike Tyson before his brother bur rejected the chance to face the boxing legend.

Last week it was announced that Tyson would return to the ring to face Jake Paul in July, in a bout that will be broadcast by Netflix.

It will mark the first time the 57-year-old has stepped into a ring since his exhibition fight with Roy Jones Jr in 2020, as he takes on the crossover star, who’s thirty years his junior.

However, speaking on his podcast Impaulsive, Jake’s brother, Logan told pod regular KSI that he has been offered a fight with Tyson in the past but not for the same payday nor as part of any Netflix deal.

‘I said no to fighting Mike Tyson.’ Logan admitted.

‘I was offered it, but not on Netflix and not for a big a** bag.’

Paul goes on to say that discuss if he could beat the boxing icon, revealing that he’s been asked that question previously and believes he could beat Tyson.

Adding; ‘I’ve been asked, ‘Do you think you could beat Mike Tyson?’ My answer is yes. I just think he’s too old; it’s crazy. He’s senile.’

Tyson wouldn’t have been the first former champion Paul has stepped in the ring with, in 2021 the social media star took on Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition fight that went the distance.

He has also competed in two professional fights, including a win over former MMA fighter Dillon Danis in October last year.

More recently, Logan has been committing more time to being a WWE Superstar and is currently the company’s United States champion, having held the belt since defeating Rey Mysterio at November’s Crown Jewel event.

He also revealed last week that he’s energy drinks company PRIME, will be the first centre of ring sponsor in WWE, starting at next month’s WrestleMania event in Philadelphia.

Logan’s brother Paul, however, has continued to make some waves in the boxing arena.

The 27-year-old has a record of 9-1, following his last outing where he beat Ryan Bourland inside one round.

In fact the only loss of his career so far came against Tommy Fury when the pair faced off last February.

Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight will NOT involve headguards, YouTube star’s business partner confirms… after ex-British heavyweight Derek Chisora claimed bout will be a ‘sparring match’

Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will not be wearing headguards when they meet in the ring this summer, the YouTube star’s business partner has confirmed.

Paul, 27, announced last week that he is set to face Tyson, 57, in a controversial boxing encounter that will be screened live on Netflix on July 20.

Many have expressed outrage over ‘Iron Mike’ – who last competed professionally back in 2005 – stepping into the ring with a fighter 30 years his junior who has won his last two fights by knockout.

Amid concerns with the bout, former British heavyweight boxer Derek Chisora recently claimed to have heard that Paul and Tyson’s contest will simply be a ‘sparring match’ with both men wearing headguards and 18oz gloves.

Yet according to Nakisa Bidarian – Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions co-founder – rumors of headgear in the fight is simply ‘fake news’.

Bidarian wrote on Instagram, via The Mirror, ‘Unequivocally there is no headgear for Paul vs Tyson, haters spreading fake news but it won’t stop the 10’s of millions of views.’

Tyson will be 58 years old by the time his proposed bout with Paul happens, sparking fears over his safety almost two decades since he bowed out from the sport.

The former world heavyweight champion has taken part in exhibitions since retiring, most recently taking on fellow fight legend Roy Jones Jr in 2020.

However, combat-sports journalist Ariel Helwani claims promoters behind Paul’s clash with Tyson are pushing for it to be staged as a professional contest.

‘They’re still working on a few important details based on the conversations that I’ve had,’ Helwani said on his latest MMA Hour show. ‘Is it pro or is it exhibition? They want pro, obviously that’s up to the Texas Commission. We’ll wait and see.

‘Weight, I’m told heavyweight. Rounds working on that as well.’

Eddie Hearn is ‘really sad’ Mike Tyson will be making a comeback

News of Paul and Tyson’s fight has been met by criticism in the boxing and sporting world, with British promoter Eddie Hearn labelling it ‘sad’.

‘For me it’s really sad because Mike Tyson was one of my idols growing up, and to see him fighting at 57, 58… but I also understand that a lot of people are going to tune in and watch,’ Hearn told Mail Sport last week.

‘It’s an entertainment event, Netflix, great to see them involved in boxing. I think it will do really well. But it’s just not really one for me.’

  • Muhammad Ali Is The Latest 2024 WWE Hall of Fame Inductee

Muhammad Ali Is The Latest 2024 WWE Hall of Fame Inductee

The WWE has made some interesting choices for this year’s Hall of Fame Class, which will be enshrined the night before WrestleMania XL in Philadelphia, PA. So far, Paul HeymanBull Nakano, and The U.S. Express have been named to the class. These wrestling figures don’t pop out to casual wrestling fans, but this latest WWE announcement adds one of the most iconic figures in boxing and the world: Muhammad Ali.

Ali was involved with the WWE during his time, whether in the ring or as a guest at one of their events. Other legendary boxers like Joe FrazierMike Tyson & Floyd Mayweather have followed in Ali’s footsteps, being a part of the WWE or Wrestling in some capacity. This induction is way past due, but given that WrestleMania XL is looking to be the biggest ever, it is only fitting that ‘The Greatest’ is inducted this year.

Here is the press release by the WWE, which officially announces Ali as part of its Hall of Fame Class of 2024.

As reported by Variety, Muhammad Ali will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2024.

One of the most iconic figures in sports history, the three-time World Heavyweight Boxing Champion and Olympic gold medalist was known around the world for his charisma, his confidence, and his ability to back it up inside the ropes.

Known simply as “The Greatest”, Ali’s influence transcended sports as his work as an activist, artist, and personality established him as one of the most renowned figures in the entire world.

Although best known as a boxer, Ali made a great impact in the sports-entertainment world.

On June 26, 1976, Ali competed in “The War of the Worlds” which was an exhibition match against WWE Hall of Famer Antonio Inoki inside the Nippon Budokan arena in Tokyo, Japan.

The match, which was competed under specific rules, resulted in a 15-round draw in front of 32,000 fans in the crowd. The bout was also broadcast on closed-circuit television to nearly 33,000 fans inside Shea Stadium in Queens, New York.

The event was a huge success and brought in countless new fans to the industry while also being viewed as a precursor to modern mixed martial arts. Both Ali and Inoki became friends after the event with Inoki even using Ali’s theme music and catchphrases as his own.

After retiring from the boxing ring with a career record of 56-5 with 37 knockouts, Ali returned to the squared circle where he served as the special guest referee for the inaugural WrestleMania in 1984 during the main event between Hulk Hogan & Mr. T and “Rowdy” Roddy Piper & “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff.

Ali’s defining moment in the match came when he punched Piper with his signature right hand – a move that restored order to the bout.

Ali sadly passed away on June 3rd, 2016, at 74, but his legacy as one of the greatest athletes persists, and his work to modernize and globalize professional wrestling helped seamlessly blend the world of sports and entertainment.

With a second asking: ‘Why do you have a bucket in your head?’

Someone else wrote: ‘There will millions of people running out to put a bucket over their heads’.

While a fourth quipped: ‘Getting Marshmello vibes here’.

It comes after Victoria was slammed by her fans on Saturday as she shared a similar glimpse at her lavish skincare routine.

In the video, the designer used just two products, both from Victoria Beckham Beauty: Cell Rejuvenating Power Serum and Cell Rejuvenating Priming Moisturiser.

The serum costs an eye-watering £116 while the moisturiser is much more cost-of-living crisis friendly, at a cool £60.

However, it wasn’t the price of the products that got fans so irate at Victoria, who filmed the video in a white bathrobe with her hair wrapped in a white towel.

Victoria began the video by saying that she had no make-up on, before going on to explain what the products do for her skin.

In particular, she joked that the serum ‘helps with any bloating my face might have, through too much wine possibly’.

After a 12-year-long association, Lewis Hamilton will finally move away from Mercedes. He is all set to join Ferrari from 2025 on a multi-year deal. Amid all this, the seven-time world champion, interestingly, wore a ring, and it was not just another piece of jewelry. The makers fascinatingly labeled it as the “divorce” ring.

Stephen Webster Jewelry in their official Instagram account recently posted a picture of Hamilton wearing the “perfect divorce ring.” With this, they also put a cheeky caption, “Bye Mercedes, Hello Ferrari.” The ring is called ‘Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll ring and is crafted in 18-carat Yellow Gold. It’s set with a central intaglio cut with Citrine and White diamond embeds. One such piece will cost someone a whopping $20,000!

Ian Dury, the renowned English singer and songwriter first coined the name of the ring. Stephen Webster launched the ring back in 1999 following the success of the Rock Star Ring. The term ‘Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll is inscribed in Roman Italic underneath the ring setting bezel. The weight of recycled Yellow Gold is 19.26 grams, while the total weight of the piece is 21.68 grams.

Hamilton arrived at Mercedes in 2013 after a decent stint with McLaren. While many doubted his switch to the Silver Arrows back in the day as the Silver Arrows were nowhere close to Ferrari, Red Bull, or McLaren. However, things changed drastically since 2014.

Right from the onset of the turbo hybrid era, the 39-year-old began the rampage with Mercedes. Together with Nico Rosberg and Valtteri Bottas, Hamilton wreaked havoc as nobody came close. But now, he is set to bid goodbye to this team at the end of this season and begin his new journey at Maranello.

    Lewis Hamilton’s days with Mercedes

Till 2020, Hamilton claimed six of his seven world titles, winning the 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 F1 Championships with Mercedes. However, he lost the title narrowly to his teammate Rosberg in 2016 and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen in 2021. Along with this, he helped the Brackley team take eight back-to-back constructors’ championships from 2014 to 2021.

Nevertheless, things began to go downhill from 2021. Till 2020, Mercedes were the only dominant team on the grid, but Red Bull and Verstappen went neck-to-neck the following year. From there on, things proved to be a disaster for the Silver Arrows as the new regulations came into existence in 2022.

Hamilton failed to pick up any wins in back-to-back seasons in 2022 and 2023. This was shambolic given he claimed 82 wins, over 150 podiums, and took numerous pole positions with the same team. On the other hand, the team’s performance was underwhelming as well where they could only manage a single victory in 44 outings across two seasons.

Furthermore, the 2024 season looks no different with Red Bull being the only dominant team on the grid. Therefore, Lewis Hamilton did not have any other option but to try his luck elsewhere. While Red Bull, Aston Martin, and McLaren were not a choice, Ferrari seemed to be the only way to go.

How is NASCAR's Daniel Suarez related to F1 champion Max Verstappen? Details about relationship between the two drivers |
    Daniel Suarez and Max Verstappen.

Last Christmas, Daniel Suarez posted a group photo on X, captioning it, “Merry Christmas from Brazil, amigos!” And in that picture, F1 star Max Verstappen was seen posing with his girlfriend Kelly Piquet. Seeing the post, many might have wondered how the NASCAR star is related to Verstappen.

The Red Bull Racing driver’s girlfriend, Kelly Piquet is the eldest daughter of three-time F1 world champion Nelson Piquet. Meanwhile, her sister, Julia, is engaged to the #99 driver. Thus, Verstappen is Suarez’s soon-to-be wife’s brother-in-law. Suarez and Julia have been dating since 2019.

In 2022, Suarez popped the big question to Piquet while the lovebirds were on vacation in Monaco during the offseason. Suarez uploaded a picture of him kneeling with a ring in his hand before his lady love, who was visibly moved to tears. The post attracted an array of congratulatory messages from their friends and family. So much so, that even the 7-time Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson commented, “Nice work amigo!”

Will Daniel Suarez ever consider switching to F1?

Owing to his familial ties with the Formula 1 sensation, people might wonder: Will the Trackhouse driver ever consider switching to an F1 car? After all, when F1 stars like Kimi Raikkonen have competed in NASCAR before, why can’t it be the other way around?

Sadly, it doesn’t look like he will do that anytime soon. Suarez seems to be content with his choice of career and will perhaps never take part in open-wheel racing. But why so?

“There is always politics in sports, some more than others,” Suarez explained. “Here in NASCAR, there is also politics, but in Formula 1 it is a different world. It is a little bit tricky.”

But what if someone puts an F1 contract in front of the Mexican speedster? The 32-year-old said that he would probably not sign it right away. However, he did admit that perhaps he would be interested in making a switch later in his career. And that would solely be because Suarez considers himself a curious guy. Nevertheless, right now, he feels like he is exactly where he should be.

The Formula 1 market has been buzzing with rumors ever since Lewis Hamilton announced his plan to join Ferrari in 2025. Amidst this, several drivers’ names have come up to join George Russell at Mercedes next year. Interestingly, the latest entrant on the list is the Red Bull superstar Max Verstappen. Last week, rumors came out linking the Dutchman to the Silver Arrows after his father, Jos Verstappen, was seen talking with Toto Wolff. Following that, social media took off, with several fan pages, even photoshopping Verstappen’s face onto the Mercedes race suit. Considering this, Max Verstappen was asked about the situation and whether he had a contract clause allowing him to leave Red Bull.

Responding to that, Verstappen said, “Like any other driver. I think there’s always things written in that contract. But ultimately that just stays within the team.” Additionally, Verstappen also mentioned that his Red Bull contract doesn’t allow him to discuss his exit clause.

In light of this, when the reporter asked him whether this says something, Verstappen responded by saying that yes, it ‘certainly says something’ although we don’t have to specify what exactly that is.

Earlier amidst Christian Horner’s investigation when the Red Bull team boss maintained his position, Verstappen’s dad claimed that he would ‘explode’. This is because Verstappen Sr. believes the squad will be in danger of being “torn apart” if Horner stays as the team principal.

These statements, along with Jos’ meeting with Wolff, have prompted the fans to think if the three-time champion will leave the team. However, based on Verstappen’s claim, it appears that he has some specific ideas.

Amid media scrutiny what exactly is Max Verstappen thinking about his future?

Max Verstappen started the new season strongly, winning by a comfortable margin in Bahrain. However, in the thick of that, rumors have surfaced regarding Verstappen’s position at Red Bull. The reason behind this is his father’s comments on Horner. Nevertheless, Mercedes has entered the scene since then, and there have been speculations the Silver Arrows could lure away the Red Bull ace.

Amidst that, Verstappen has adopted a relaxed demeanor, asserting that there is no reason for him to walk away from the dominant Red Bull. However, the Dutchman later hinted that anything could take place in life. He did this by referring to Hamilton’s Ferrari move.

Speaking about it, ahead of Saudi Arabian GP, the Dutchman said, “The thing is I think no one would have ever seen that Lewis would move to Ferrari. So you can never say 100 percent. That’s how it’s going to be and I approach my life like that.”

While wrapping up, Verstappen claimed that he had signed such a long contract with Red Bull (till 2028) only because of his trust in the team. He will thus remain with them as long as the team performs well.

  • Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight could be a PROFESSIONAL bout – 19 years since ‘Iron Mike’ last competed – as YouTube star and former heavyweight champion prepare to face off in July

Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight could be a PROFESSIONAL bout – 19 years since ‘Iron Mike’ last competed – as YouTube star and former heavyweight champion prepare to face off in July

The promoters behind Jake Paul and Mike Tyson‘s controversial boxing showdown are pushing for it to be staged as a professional contest, according to reports.

Paul, 27, sparked outrage last week after announcing that he is set to face Tyson, 57, in a live Netflix bout on July 20.

Despite appearing to be an exhibition, many were quick to express outrage over the concept of ‘Iron Mike’ stepping back into the ring with a fighter 30 years his junior – especially following recent footage which shows him using a walking stick.

In Paul, he will be taking on a YouTube star carving out a career for himself in professional boxing after picking up nine wins in 10 contests, which has included brutal knockouts against former UFC stars Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren.

A number of high-profile figures in the sport are therefore concerned about Tyson – who is turning 58 in June – taking on a fighter as young and heavy-handed as Paul.

And according to combat-sports journalist Ariel Helwani, Paul and Tyson’s bout may not even be classed as an exhibition, with promoters understood to be pushing for a pro contest.

Former British heavyweight boxer Derek Chisora recently claimed that Paul and Tyson will be wearing headguards and using 18oz gloves in a sparring-style fight, a rumor which was shut down by Helwani.

Instead, organizers are reportedly keen for the bout to resemble a standard pro encounter – something Tyson hasn’t taken part in since 2005.

The former world heavyweight champion quit in his final contest 19 years ago, with journeyman Kevin McBride forcing him to throw in the towel on both the fight and his career before the start of the seventh round.

Eddie Hearn is ‘really sad’ Mike Tyson will be making a comeback

Since then, he has merely competed in exhibitions over the last two decades, the most recent coming against fellow fight legend Roy Jones Jr back in 2020.

Eddie Hearn believes it will be ‘really sad’ to see Tyson return to the ring against Paul.
