Nigel Farage says Keir Starmer ‘determined to crush dissent’ over Reform’s House of Lords snub

Nigel Farage responds to House of Lords snub |

Check out all of today’s political coverage from GB News below

Nigel Farage identified Keir Starmer as “part of a political establishment determined to crush dissent and free speech” in a volcanic new broadside.

The Reform UK leader’s furious comments came after his party was frozen out of making nominations to the House of Lords yesterday, while the Prime Minister put forward 25 new peers to bolster Labour’s control of the Upper Chamber.

Among those nominated were several Labour allies, including Sir Keir’s former communications head, Matthew Doyle, and Chancellor Rachel Reeves’s chief of staff, Katie Martin, leading to accusations of “cronyism”.

“Normal communication between parties doesn’t exist when it comes to Reform,” Mr Farage declared.

Referring to Sir Keir, he said: “I used to think he was a decent bloke, maybe a bit wishy-washy. I now think he is part of a political establishment determined to crush dissent, determined to crush free speech and make sure Reform does not get a far crack of the whip.”

“This makes me even more determined to do in the establishment and win the next General Election,” Mr Farage pledged.

‘We deserve more peers!’ Lib Dem leader hits out at Nigel Farage and Reform over Lords sub

Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey has hit out at Nigel Farage after Reform UK was frozen out of appointing peers to the House of Lords.

Amid Labour stuffing the upper chamber with 25 allies, the Lib Dems were also able to appoint five of their own, including the party’s CEO.

However, Reform was not invited to select any peers despite having five MPs in Parliment and dominating the other parties in opinion polling.

“Well Liberal Democrats have got a great result at the last election we got 72 MPs, I don’t know many MPs there are for Reform it’s 4 or 5, they keep changing because people keep being sacked or resigning, but we’ve got many more MPs than Nigel Farage and that’s obviously why we deserve more peers,” Sir Ed told GB News.

When asked if he had done a deal with Sir Keir Starmer, the Lib Dem leader rubbished the notion.

“We deserve to have more Peers we’ve had our best result at a General Election for over 100 years, and the last Conservative government I’m afraid, didn’t allow us to have very many peers at all, so It’s absolutely right,” he told The People’s Channel.

MPs warned over Russia-linked WhatsApp messages

MPs have been warned about Russian-linked WhatsApp as a potential security threat.

Speaker of the House Sir Lindsay Hoyle wrote to lawmakers to warn them about Russian-linked attempts to target them on WhatsApp and other messaging apps, it is understood.

The Prime Minister’s official spokesman said the warning was a matter for the Commons Speaker, but added: “I think we have been very clear, as have the various security agencies… this country about the threat posed by hostile state interference from Russia, and we’ve set that out explicitly many times.”

Sir Lindsay’s warning came as Nato chief Mark Rutte gravely advised European allies must ‘prepare for war with Russia now’

Nigel Farage unveils ex-Tory MP as Reform UK’s cost-cutting tsar as defection deluge continues

Reform UK has appointed ex-Tory MP Ben Bradley as its new local government action tsar.

Mr Bradley, who served as the MP for Mansfield between 2017 and 2024, will support Reform’s deputy leader Richard Tice in his Doge operation.

The 35-year-old said: “I’m delighted to be joining Reform UK at a really important time, and to be part of delivering the real change that is desperately needed.

“Successive governments have failed to deliver for so many people, and have demonstrated that they’re unwilling to actually deliver on key promises to voters.

“They have talked about being tough on crime, reducing immigration, about helping working people, whilst in practice they’ve failed to act and have delivered the opposite. The trust in those parties has gone, and it’s not coming back.”

Mr Tice added: “I’m pleased to announce that Ben Bradley has joined Reform UK as Head of Local Government Action.

“Ben brings a wealth of experience as a former Local Authority Leader and MP for Mansfield. His expertise will help us provide strong leadership and deliver real results for councils across the country.”

Mr Bradley joins more than 20 top Tories who have joined Reform UK, including ex-Red Wall MPs Jonathan Gullis and Marco Longhi.

Keir Starmer stopped from recreating iconic Love Actually moment

Keir Starmer has been blocked from recreating an iconic scene from Love Actually, which was to be posted to his new TikTok account.

In the inaugural post, the Prime Minister was filmed walking through Downing Street with his wife, Victoria Starmer, to a Christmas light switch-on outside, inviting viewers to “follow me”.

Accompanying the video was Santa’s Coming Home (For Christmas) by Niklas Gabrielsson Lind & OTE.

However, aides had initially hoped to set the video to “Jump” by The Pointer Sisters.

This pop classic has long been associated with a classic scene from the 2003 rom-com, where Hugh Grant, playing the Prime Minister, dances around No. 10 to the tune.

In the end, the idea was abandoned for fears it would breach copyright rules, per PoliticsHome.

Balaclava-clad protesters pelt councillors with eggs while debating ‘sanctuary for asylum seekers’

Councillors in Kent were “violently intimidated” and “pelted with eggs” by people wearing balaclavas while holding a debate about asylum seekers.

Swale Borough Council was debating making the area a “District of Sanctuary” for asylum seekers in the meeting on Wednesday evening when the alleged attack took place.

Toilets at the council offices in Sittingbourne were also “flooded” and lifts were “destroyed”, Labour MP Kevin McKenna said.

Mr McKenna, MP for Sittingbourne and Sheppey which includes Swale Borough, branded the incident an “attack on democracy itself” as he told the House of Commons of his horror at the “violent scenes”.

“I’m horrified to report to you and to the House as a whole that last night in Swale Borough Council there were violent scenes as people wearing balaclavas in the public gallery itself violently intimidated councillors,” he told MPs.

“They were threatening them, pelting them with eggs and missiles from the gallery.”

Keir Starmer faces fresh attack from leadership rival just hours after PM received ’12 month warning’

Sir Keir Starmer leaving No10 on his way to PMQs

Sir Keir Starmer has been hit with a fresh attack from Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham.

Mr Burnham, who was accused of jumping the gun by talking up his leadership ambitions at the Labour Party Conference, criticised the Prime Minister’s record on homelessness.

He said: “What I am saying is homelessness is fixable – it requires something more radical if you really want to fix it.

“If you go for that ‘housing first’ approach – ‘everyone in’, ‘a bed every night’, those type of approaches – in the end, in my view, you save money.

“And that’s what I would encourage them to do. So I’m not saying they haven’t done lots of good things. They have done lots of really important things. But from here, let’s get into a more radical approach.”

Mr Burnham’s intervention came just hours after Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey warned Sir Keir might only have 12 more months in Downing Street.

Speaking at Prime Minister’s Questions, Sir Ed asked: “Does the Prime Minister fear if he keeps opposing a customs union, in 12 months’ time he will not be standing there?”

Sir Keir replied: “We have got a closer relationship with the EU, through our reset earlier this year. And, yes, I do want a closer relationship to the one we’ve got at the moment, we are moving towards that.

“We do have manifesto commitments on issues such as single market, customs union and freedom of movement.”

The exchange came after the Prime Minister was rocked by a 13-strong Brexit revolt over a Ten Minute Rule Bill to drag Britain back into the EU’s customs union.

TEARS ON SCREEN Davina McCall Breaks Down as She Shares Emotional Breast Cancer Update — Fans Call It ‘Impossible to Watch Without Crying’

Davina McCall has given an update on her battle with breast cancer, while hosting a special Cancer Clinic Live on last night’s Stand Up To Cancer (December 12).

The TV presenter – who got married to fiancé Michael Douglas earlier this month – revealed she’d been diagnosed with breast cancer in November.

Davina said she was “angry” when she was given the news, which came less than a year after she underwent surgery for a brain tumour. She had a lumpectomy, and will have a course of radiotherapy in the New Year.

    Davina McCall gives cancer update

Speaking last night, Davina shared an update on how she’s doing. Speaking to camera at the start of the show, she said: “Earlier this year, I found a lump in my breast. It quickly led to tests and scans and then the word that no one ever wants to hear, cancer.

“It was found early and surgeons were able to remove it. But not everyone gets that chance.”

She then choked up as she spoke about her sister Caroline, who was diagnosed with late stage lung cancer just seven weeks before she died.

    ‘I’m really good, thank you’

Later in the show, Davina spoke to Stewart and his partner Michelle. They were at the clinic to discuss his battle with bowel cancer. However, before he headed into his appointment, Stewart asked Davina how she was doing. Clearly touched by his kindness, Davina got emotional again.

“Can I just say, you asking me that, I can’t believe that, after everything you’ve been through,” she said.

Davina then added: “Can I just say something, I’m really good, thank you.”

Stewart, who has been receiving potentially life-saving immunotherapy, replied: “Good, that’s what I like to hear.”

Davina then cupped his face and thanked him for his kindness, before he headed into his appointment. “Have a good meeting,” said the host. “Happy Christmas both of you – love you.”

Davina kept her back to the camera, as if to compose herself, and viewers admitted they had joined the host in her tears.

    Viewers react

“Davina was wonderful presenting last night from Addenbrooke’s. Such empathy and compassion and not afraid to show it. She knew first hand what those patients were going through,” said one.

“Wishing you well Davina,” said a second. “Such an emotional watch,” said another, as someone else agreed: “A tough watch this.” “Why am I crying?” another posted. “God bless you, Davina.”

Ghislaine Maxwell’s ultimate humiliation: Epstein’s sex trafficker girlfriend poses in outrageous outfits and exposes herself in dozens of photos released from the billionaire paedophile’s files

From wrestling on a sofa to frolicking with celebrities and pulling suggestive poses, Ghislaine Maxwell portrays the ultimate life of frivolity with her paedophile financier boyfriend, newly-released photographs from the Epstein files show.

In one, smirking Maxwell – who is currently serving 20 years for her role in recruiting and trafficking minors for sex on behalf of Jeffrey Epstein – can be seen wrestling on a sofa with French modelling agent Jean-Luc Brunel.

The close associate of the late US financier was later arrested on suspicion of raping  and trafficking minors, before being found hanged in his prison cell in Paris, France, in 2022.

Photographs of Maxwell and Brunel show them apparently lying on top of a fur coat or blanket and engaged in a playful tussle, resulting in her stomach becoming exposed.

In another more explicit photograph, Maxwell pulls down her white vest top and exposing her chest, while another individual out of shot places their foot between her cleavage.

A series of photographs goes on to show Maxwell frolicking with celebrity magician David Copperfield, with the pair appearing to be dressed only in white towelling robes.

In one image, the 63-year-old poses in front of Copperfield with the pair entwining their arms around one another, while in another, the famed illusionist lifts his leg around Maxwell’s waist, as the convicted sex trafficker laughs for the camera.

Evidence of Maxwell’s pampered life with the paedophile billionaire can be seen as she poses from behind the wheel of a luxury sports car while appearing to be wearing little other than a white silk robe.

Elsewhere, Maxwell can be seen posing in an ostentatious red hat with feathers while pulling a suggestive pose.

Among the newest photographs, Maxwell can also be seen right outside the door of the Prime Minister’s office at 10 Downing Street, London. The context in which the picture was taken is unknown, as is the date of the photograph.

The latest released images come as Maxwell formally asked a federal court to throw out her sex trafficking conviction on Wednesday, just 48 hours before the Epstein files were expected to be published.

Maxwell claimed ‘substantial new evidence has emerged’ which shows she did not receive a fair trial, according to the filing reviewed by ABC News.

Maxwell wrote: ‘This newly available evidence – derived from litigation against the Federal Bureau of Investigation, various financial institutions, and the Estate of Jeffrey Epstein, as well as from sworn depositions, released records, and other verified sources – shows that exculpatory information was withheld, false testimony presented, and material facts misrepresented to the jury and the Court.’

The disgraced socialite’s last-ditch effort, submitted without an attorney, comes after she has exhausted all of her direct legal appeals.

Hundreds of thousands of documents, including court records, footage and images, were uploaded on Friday night to the US Department of Justice website, which held users in a queue as it experienced an ‘extremely high volume of search requests’.

The trove includes images from Epstein’s homes, including rooms adorned with nude photographs and distinctive bright blue carpeting. However, the DOJ did not provide any context for the images of people included in the files.

Some records detail Epstein’s associations with high-profile figures such as Michael JacksonSir Mick JaggerKevin Spacey and other famous individuals.

Former president Bill Clinton features prominently in the files, appearing in photographs smiling at parties and swimming with women. He has since issued a blistering response, denying having any knowledge of Epstein’s crimes.

More than 600,000 pages related to the pedophile have now been released this year, prompting the Trump administration to describe itself as the ‘most transparent in history’ following Friday’s disclosure.

The data dump came after US deputy attorney general Todd Blanche said ‘several hundred thousand’ documents from the so-called ‘Epstein files’ would be released ahead of a legal deadline, but the need to protect the sex offender’s victims meant thousands more would be released over the coming weeks.

US President Donald Trump signed the legislation last month to ensure the release of the files, despite previously resisting disclosure and claiming the issue was a ‘Democrat hoax’.

The paedophile financier Epstein was found dead in his cell at a federal jail in Manhattan, New York, in August 2019 while he awaited trial on sex trafficking charges. His death was ruled a suicide.

The law has some exemptions tied to it, including allowing Attorney General Pam Bondi to withhold certain records if their publication could interfere with an active prosecution or criminal investigations.

Maxwell was convicted in December 2021 after prosecutors presented evidence that she procured girls as young as 14 for abuse by Epstein. She is serving a 20-year sentence in Florida.

On Dec. 3, the Prince and Princess of Wales, both 43, oozed glamour in a new photo that they shared to social media just before the state banquet got underway at Windsor Castle.

“Looking forward to a special banquet tonight in Windsor

,” they captioned the snap, adding emojis of the German and Union Jack flags.

The photo was taken by Alex Bramall at Frogmore House, a royal residence near Windsor Castle, and showed the couple standing close together in front of a twinkling Christmas tree.

Princess Kate shimmered in Queen Victoria’s Oriental Circlet Tiara — wearing the historic headpiece for the first time — and it also marked her largest tiara moment to date. Until now, the Princess of Wales has favored more understated pieces, making her debut in the Oriental Circlet an especially exciting first for its scale and striking sparkle.

The future queen also pinned on a pair of the late Queen Elizabeth’s earrings and brought the wow factor in a glittering blue caped gown by Jenny Packham with the Royal Family Order and the Royal Victorian Order sash and star.

Prince William, meanwhile, was dapper in a Windsor tail coat with white tie, plus his Most Noble Order of the Garter Sash with the Lesser George and Great Master of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath neck order, among other regalia and medals.

The Prince and Princess of Wales got all dressed up for the diplomatic dinner at Windsor Castle that will cap the first day of the  German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and first lady Elke Büdenbender’s state visit to the U.K., where they will join King Charles and Queen Camilla in hosting the guests of honor.

While Prince William and Princess Kate’s official picture before the bash would make for a fairytale Christmas card, they might already have another idea in the works!

William and Kate are known to release a picture with their children, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, around Christmas each year in a family tradition.

The former Geordie Shore star, 38, married Ercan, 32, at London’s Marylebone Town Hall in August 2024 before they continued their celebrations a few months later with a big Italian party in Puglia.

But the Strictly star, who first got engaged in 2022, was left devastated after her stunning emerald cut diamond ring, estimated to have cost around £200,000, was stolen just weeks before her wedding.

The emerald cut diamond ring was inside a bag which was stolen off a train in her native Newcastle.

Four wedding dresses, two weddings and a whole year married later – Vicky has finally got a dazzling, big rock back on her finger.

‘It’s been a mad old year and I couldn’t have got through it without my incredible husband and having him by my side through the highs and the lows has made everything just that little bit better!

‘Tonight, at home, in our pjs with the dogs we had a cute little surprise date night and @ercan_ram gave me the most beautiful new engagement ring and wedding ring.

‘As some of you may know mine got stolen just before our wedding and this gesture has absolutely made my year! And he got it in a new colour way too! It’s so perfect! I love you so much and I would choose you in this life, and the next.’

The former Queen of the I’m A Celeb Jungle has described her Italian wedding as the most ‘special’ and ‘magical’ day of her life.

She was thankful to be stress-free walking down the aisle, which the star thought was unlikely a week before the life changing day.

Vicky has previously spoken openly about suffering from premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), which is a mood disorder that causes severe emotional and physical symptoms before a woman’s period.

And in the run-up to her wedding, Vicky admitted to feeling ‘depressed’, ‘anxious’ and ‘self-critical’ as she approached the celebration.

After overcoming her PMDD and focusing on her new life ahead, Vicky says she felt calm and was rid of her ‘usual anxieties’.

She added: ‘I wasn’t nervous at all. I have spent a lot of this year a bit stressed and I was so worried I’d ruin the wedding week for myself by just being in my own head and panicking about little things that really didn’t matter.

‘But in all honesty, I have never felt so calm about everything. I suppose I just knew I was doing the right thing for me, with the right person surrounded by all my favourite people. That feeling was special and just overrode any of my usual anxieties.’

Vicky and Ercan met after being introduced by mutual friends and started planning their wedding following their Dubai engagement in 2022.

After dreaming of wearing a white gown since childhood, Vicky knew she wanted as many elaborate dresses as possible.

And she succeeded after saying her vows wearing a long-sleeved lace gown from Leah Da Gloria before changing into a shimmery gold dress which accentuated her curvaceous figure by Kyha Studios for her first dance.

Ahead of the ceremony, Vicky and Ercan hosted their guests at a welcome dinner, where the bride wore a Vivienne Westwood gown, which delicately draped on her shoulders and highlighted her bronzed décolletage.

She danced the night away wearing a statement flower dress from Nicole + Felicia Couture, putting her hair up to allow room for hours of partying.

Vicky told Daily Mail: ‘Ever since I was little I would hang a pillow case off the back of my head and pretend I was getting married.

‘I’ve always dreamed about being a bride. As I got older, that dream sort of changed and I wanted to be loved and have a nice, healthy relationship with a lovely man.

‘But I’d be lying if I said my Italian adventure wasn’t a young Vicky’s dream. And every dress was so different including my London one… it felt like I ticked every single box.’

“He Didn’t Win the Crown… But He Won the Room”: Tom Read Wilson Lands Major ITV Role Just Days After Leaving the Jungle

Tom Read Wilson may have missed out on being crowned King of the Jungle —
but just 72 hours after stepping out of camp, he has secured something even bigger:
a brand-new presenting role on ITV’s This Morning.

And according to insiders, ITV bosses didn’t just invite him…
    they chased him.

A New Star Is Born on Daytime TV

Viewers fell in love with Tom’s warmth, poetic charm and soothing voice during I’m A Celebrity 2025, and now ITV has snapped him up faster than any finalist this season — even faster than new Jungle King AngryGinge.

On Thursday morning, Tom appeared on This Morning’s famous sofa, not as a guest… but in his debut as the show’s new “Agony Uncle”, answering viewers’ dilemmas in the emotional run-up to Christmas.

    And he absolutely nailed it.

    Ben Shephard told him:
“In camp, you were the person everyone went to. You were born for this.”

Tom blushed — then proved them right.

     Tom’s Advice Goes Viral

When a viewer asked whether he should confess a crush at the office Christmas party, Tom delivered a line that instantly trended on X:

“Sow the seeds before the wine does it for you.”

Cat and Ben burst out laughing — and then offered him the job on air.

    “Would you come back?”
    Tom didn’t hesitate.
    “I would absolutely love to.”

Just like that… a new daytime star was made.

The TV presenter, 39, was reportedly headhunted by ITV bosses shortly after finishing as runner-up behind new King of the Jungle AngryGinge (L-R Tom, AngryGinge, and Shona McGarty)

From Late Arrival to Final Two: The Tom Effect

Tom entered the jungle as a late arrival, an unknown quantity among fan favourites — but within days, he became one of the most popular campmates of the entire season.

    His gentle nature.
    His ability to listen.
His hilarious turns of phrase (“I try to be a shoulder… and a bosom”).
    His emotional honesty.

    He didn’t just compete.
    He connected.

    And fans reacted — HARD.

The finale received over 13 million votes, the highest in at least a decade, with many insisting Tom was the true winner.

Fans Are Still Furious He Didn’t Win

Social media hasn’t calmed down since:

    “Tom should’ve won. Full stop.”

“Ginge has TikTok fans — Tom had the nation.”

“I’m not watching next year. Justice for Tom.”

But while the Jungle crown went elsewhere, the careers crown is clearly Tom’s.

“I Shared More in That Jungle Than I Have in Years”

Speaking on ITV2’s Unpacked, Tom opened up about the intensity of camp life:

“If you add up the waking hours, I spent more time with these people than with my own loved ones this year.”

And in true Tom fashion, he described himself as:

“Disbosoming everything — I surprised even myself.”

The Future Looks Golden for Tom Read Wilson

He may have walked out of the jungle without a crown,
but he walked straight into a primetime job, a national fanbase,
and a brand-new chapter on one of the UK’s biggest TV shows.

Sometimes you don’t need to win the game
    to win the nation.

Emmerdale TV series: When pain, guilt, and anger collide.

Emmerdale has never shied away from exploring the darkest corners of human control and emotional survival, but this chapter marks a chilling new high point. In an episode heavy with rain, regret, and long-suppressed truth, the ITV soap delivers a powerful meditation on power, abuse, and the quiet courage it takes to finally say no. At the centre of it all are Celia Walters, her long-suffering ward Ry, and a broken labourer known as Bear — three lives bound together by fear, silence, and the slow erosion of compassion.

For weeks, viewers have watched Celia tighten her grip on Ry’s life, particularly as his feelings for Laurel Thomas have deepened. Laurel represents everything Celia despises: warmth, independence, and the possibility of a future Ry might choose for himself. Determined to destroy that possibility, Celia has worked with ruthless precision, undermining Ry’s confidence and poisoning Laurel’s perception of him. Her manipulation is subtle but devastating — a well-placed comment here, a strategic humiliation there — all designed to remind Ry of his “place.”

Celia’s cruelty is not loud. It is measured, elegant, and all the more terrifying for it. She belittles Ry not in fits of rage, but with calm certainty, stripping away his sense of worth until he begins to believe her version of himself: small, dirty, undeserving of love. Yet this episode signals a shift. For the first time, Ry begins to see the pattern clearly. Celia is not protecting him. She is consuming him.

When Bear suffers a serious hand injury at work, Celia’s response is chillingly familiar. She orders Ry to bandage it and send him straight back to the fields, dismissing the blood and pain as inconveniences to her schedule. In the past, Ry would have obeyed without question. This time, he doesn’t.

The moment is quiet, but monumental. Haunted by memories of Anna — another worker whose untreated injury led to fatal infection — Ry makes a choice that changes everything. He disobeys Celia and takes Bear to hospital. It is an act of rebellion, compassion, and guilt all at once. Ry has grown fond of Bear, seeing in him not weakness but resilience. Celia calls that affection “pitiful.” Ry now understands it is human.

The drive to Leeds is tense and symbolic. Bear’s confusion at recognising the city name is heartbreaking. He realises, with dawning horror, that he was never as far from home as Celia led him to believe. His captivity was not geographical, but psychological. The lie runs deeper than forced labour — Bear is a man erased.

At the hospital, Ry’s desperation leads to an impulsive lie that becomes the emotional core of the episode. To protect Bear from scrutiny and Celia’s inevitable retaliation, Ry tells the staff that Bear is his father. It is meant as a shield. Instead, it becomes something far more profound.

Medical examinations reveal the full extent of Bear’s suffering: untreated fractures, chronic nerve damage, scars of long-term neglect, and a dependency on painkillers — pills Ry himself has been giving him to survive Celia’s brutal demands. The guilt is crushing. What Ry thought was kindness has contributed to Bear’s addiction. The truth lands hard, forcing Ry to confront the cost of survival under Celia’s rule.

Yet in the stark, sterile quiet of the hospital room, something unexpected grows. Bear, frail and exhausted, offers Ry something Celia never has: fatherly wisdom. Their conversations are tender and restrained, filled with things neither man has ever been allowed to say. Bear speaks of a son he lost without naming him. Ry speaks of a childhood stolen — a life before Celia, before his grandfather died and his identity was reshaped to suit her needs.

For Ry, calling Bear “Dad” — even as a lie — unlocks something deeply buried. It is the first time the word has ever felt real. And in that space, Bear encourages him to dream again. When Ry admits that his dream includes Laurel, and the possibility of becoming a stepfather to her children, Bear urges him not to let Celia’s shadow define the rest of his life.

While this fragile bond forms in Leeds, the walls of Celia’s empire begin to crack back in the Dales. Moira Dingle, sharp-eyed and relentless, uncovers evidence of Celia’s deception in their shared business dealings. Alongside Cain, whose simmering presence promises consequences, Moira prepares to confront the woman who has destroyed lives to build her fortune.

The timing is exquisite. Celia, unaware of Ry’s defiance or Bear’s revelations, sits alone in her farmhouse — a queen in a kingdom built on fear. But the silence she relies on is breaking. Ry has spoken. Bear has been seen. And the Dingles are no longer willing to look away.

By the episode’s end, Ry stands changed. He is no longer merely Celia’s obedient shadow. He is a protector, a son in spirit, and a man beginning to believe he might deserve love. The road ahead is dangerous — returning to Celia will mean confrontation, retaliation, and reckoning — but the transformation has begun.

Emmerdale delivers this story with unflinching intensity, reminding viewers that true power does not lie in domination, but in defiance. When pain, guilt, and anger finally collide, even the most carefully constructed empire can fall. And when the broken find their voice, silence becomes impossible to maintain.

BREAKING  King Charles III Breaks His Silence on Cancer — The Message Britain Needed to Hear

The King has recorded a ‘personal message’ about his cancer diagnosis and recovery which will be played in a ground-breaking broadcast today.

Charles’s address will be shown as part of ‘Stand Up To Cancer 2025’, a joint campaign by Cancer Research UK and Channel 4.

The King, 77, was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of the disease in early 2024 and has been receiving weekly treatment ever since.

Despite this he has continued with a packed working diary, with five state visits this year alone.

In his message, the monarch will stress the importance of cancer screening programmes in enabling early diagnosis and will ‘reflect on his own recovery journey’.

It was recorded during the last week of November in the Morning Room at Clarence House.

This year’s Stand Up To Cancer event is designed to drive awareness of the importance of early diagnosis, as well as raising funds for cancer research and support all those affected by the illness.

His Majesty’s message will form part of Channel 4’s flagship night of programmes and will be aired at 8pm, shortly before a unique live broadcast from a cancer clinic at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, presented by presenter Davina McCall, who was herself recently treated for breast cancer.

Earlier this year the King visited patients at the new Midland Metropolitan University Hospital in Birmingham and spoke to them candidly about his own experience of cancer

As far as royal communications are concerned, particularly for a head of state, it is a major break with tradition to offer a personal, televised message on a private medical matter.

Buckingham Palace has always chosen not to reveal the King’s own cancer or treatment, although they have confirmed that it is not prostate-related.

This is partly out of medical privacy, but also because Charles has been personally keen for his openness in speaking about living a full life with the disease, while undergoing treatment, to appeal to the widest possible audience.

His decision to speak publicly about such a difficult personal matter sparked a huge uptick in people seeking information from NHS and charity websites.

The monarch was diagnosed in February last year, days after going into hospital for routine surgery for an enlarged prostate.

At the time Buckingham Palace said: ‘During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer.

‘His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties.

‘Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual.

‘The King is grateful to his medical team for their swift intervention, which was made possible thanks to his recent hospital procedure.

‘He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible.

‘His Majesty has chosen to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and in the hope it may assist public understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer.’

This year’s Stand Up To Cancer initiative has launched a simple online screening checker – screeningchecker.co.uk – which helps users determine which breast, bowel and cervical screening programmes they may be eligible for, provides trusted information from Cancer Research UK, and directs users to further support where needed.

Celia faces Cain and Moira’s wrath in Emmerdale ITVX release as the end ‘confirmed’ for her and Ray

It may finally be the beginning of the end for Celia Daniels in Emmerdale, as her carefully constructed reign of control starts to crumble under the weight of suspicion, anger and rebellion. Once operating from the shadows, Celia now finds herself exposed, with two of the village’s most formidable figures firmly in her sights: Moira and Cain Dingle. As secrets surface and loyalties fracture, the ITVX release suggests that Celia’s downfall could be imminent—and Ray may be dragged down with her.

For Moira, the betrayal cuts especially deep. Only weeks ago, she was grateful to Celia for offering her a lifeline during one of the toughest financial periods she and Cain had faced. The turkey-rearing business promised stability and a much-needed boost to the farm’s struggling finances. Celia presented herself as a savvy businesswoman with the resources and experience to help Moira succeed, and Moira, worn down by months of worry, allowed herself to trust her.

That trust begins to unravel with a single phone call. A disgruntled client contacts Moira with complaints that make little sense, leaving her confused and unsettled. Certain that there must be some kind of misunderstanding, Moira heads to Celia’s farm to get answers—only to make a discovery that changes everything.

Strikingly, Moira has never previously visited Celia’s home, a detail that already hints at how distant and guarded Celia has been despite their business partnership. When Moira arrives, she finds the place eerily empty. Letting herself inside, she is confronted with a scene that immediately raises alarm bells. The house is in a state of shocking disrepair—far removed from the image of success Celia projects. But it’s what Moira finds next that truly rattles her.

Among scattered paperwork, Moira comes across a pile of invoices bearing her signature. At first glance, they appear legitimate—but the figures are wildly unfamiliar. The amounts don’t match any agreements she recalls signing off on. The realisation hits hard: someone has been manipulating the books, and Moira’s name has been used to do it.

Furious and feeling deeply betrayed, Moira storms straight to The Woolpack, where she finds Celia enjoying a quiet drink. Wasting no time, Moira confronts her, accusing her of doctoring invoices and dragging her into something potentially illegal. Celia, however, is well-practised at deflection. Calm and composed, she brushes off the allegations, blaming a client error and promising to “look into it.”

But Moira isn’t fooled. Her anger builds as Celia continues to dismiss her concerns, and the situation quickly escalates. Caleb, witnessing the heated exchange from the bar, attempts to intervene, urging Moira to calm down before things spiral out of control. It’s at this moment that Celia reveals just how cruel and calculating she can be.

Leaning in, Celia quietly suggests that Moira’s behaviour might be linked to her past brain tumour, implying that her illness has returned and is affecting her judgment. The remark is devastatingly personal—and it pushes Moira past breaking point. Seeing red, Moira lashes out and strikes Celia, sending shockwaves through the pub.

Chaos erupts as shocked onlookers rush to intervene. Celia collapses into tears, playing the role of the innocent victim with chilling precision. To everyone else in the room, it appears as though Moira has violently attacked a defenceless woman without provocation. Sympathy floods toward Celia, while Moira is left isolated and condemned.

Cain arrives to find his wife at the centre of the storm and swiftly ushers her away as villagers gather around Celia, offering comfort and support. The damage, however, has already been done. Moira’s credibility has taken a serious hit, and Celia has successfully flipped the narrative in her favour.

Back at Butler’s Farm, the reality of the situation sinks in. Moira confesses to Cain that she deeply regrets ever going into business with Celia. The unease she’s felt for weeks now makes sense, and the pieces are finally coming together. Cain, already suspicious, admits that he never trusted Ray either—especially after the bizarre incident involving Marlon and the mysterious car crash connected to Ray.

United in their resolve, Moira and Cain decide they won’t let the matter rest. They agree to confront Celia at her farm the following day, determined to ask the questions Moira should have asked much earlier. As Moira grimly mutters that Celia should “brace herself,” it’s clear the Dingles are preparing for war.

Meanwhile, Celia is anything but shaken. Behind closed doors, she fumes about Moira’s outburst, but her confidence remains intact. She believes she has already secured her position—and Moira’s silence. Calmly, she lays out her leverage to Ray: there’s a dead body on her land, Moira’s signature is all over fraudulent invoices, and now Moira has physically assaulted her in public. If Moira pushes too hard, Celia could easily shift the spotlight onto her instead.

Yet cracks are starting to form in Celia’s operation. The pressure is mounting, and even she can sense that things are becoming dangerously complicated. In a rare admission of vulnerability, Celia tells Ray that it may be time to shut everything down and leave the area altogether. Running has always been her contingency plan—but this time, it may not be so simple.

Ray, increasingly conflicted, is no longer the obedient accomplice Celia expects him to be. Earlier that day, he had already defied her by taking Bear to the hospital to have a wound stitched—directly against Celia’s orders. The act may seem small, but it signals a shift in Ray’s moral compass and a growing resistance to Celia’s control.

Adding to her frustration, Ray has also reached out to Laurel, seeking another chance at their relationship. By following his heart instead of Celia’s commands, Ray is quietly asserting his independence, and it threatens the foundation of their partnership. Celia may command fear, but her grip is slipping.

With Moira and Cain closing in, Ray beginning to rebel, and secrets piling up faster than Celia can contain them, the walls are finally closing in. What once felt like an untouchable operation now looks fragile and exposed. The ITVX release strongly hints that this convergence of forces could mark the end of Celia Daniels’ time in the village—and Ray’s future alongside her is far from secure.

As Emmerdale builds toward this explosive reckoning, one thing is clear: Celia’s enemies are no longer in the shadows. And when the Dingles come for answers, they rarely leave empty-handed.
