The Royal family’s official diary, from 18/03/2024 to 10/5/2024, has in it 55 public engagements that Princess Anne agreed to. Her day will be exhausting, as she is attending five events on the same day, and the remaining weekends suggest that the national tour means she also attended a trip to Scotland recently. In total, the eight-week period in question lists 78 public royal engagements. The Duke and The Duchess of Edinburgh will jointly attend two of these. The breakdown of the engagements is as follows: The Princess Royal with 55, The Duchess of Edinburgh with 13, The Duke of Gloucester and The Duke of Edinburgh with four each, Birgitte, The Duchess of Gloucester with three, and The Queen with one.

The royal family is observing a break for the Easter holidays, with no engagements planned from Good Friday, March 29th, until April 5th. Kate is also set to return to royal duties after Easter.

The thought of Prince Harry and Meghan coming back into the royal family isn’t without its challenges. Questions about their roles, duties, and public perception would need to be handled. Furthermore, Prince Harry and Meghan have voiced their desire for financial independence and sovereignty. Megyn Kelly has another bone to pick with Meghan Markle and this time it’s because she has an issue with the fact she refers to Prince Harry as ‘her husband’.

On the latest episode of her podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show, the American media commentator slammed Markle and said she’d had enough.

‘We get it, you bagged the gorilla,’ she said on Tuesday’s episode.

‘Congratulations, you got the big bear, [and] you want us all to know.’

The comments were in response to the latest episode of Markle’s own podcast, Archetypes, when she said that her husband was ‘great’ with contributing equally to parenting.

‘Oh, my husband? Oh, he’s great,’ she said.

‘[He] gets [Archie] downstairs’, while she added she would make breakfast for the family.

‘It’s very important to me. I love doing it.’

With Christopher Anderson, author of The King: The Life of Charles III, Kelly’s guest on the program, the pair also discussed claims made in the Oprah interview, including a part where Markle said she never looked up the Royal family prior to her relationship.

Anderson claimed that, like ‘every other young woman’, she knew exactly who they were.

‘Let’s get real, there’s always that eligible bachelor,’ Kelly agreed.

‘For my age, it was JFK Jr., for her age it was Prince Harry.’

Kelly also criticised the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for ‘ripping on the Royals to whom they owe, literally, all of their fame and most of their fortune.’

The comments come as the world waits to see the contents of Harry’s memoir, Spare, which will now be released on January 10 after being delayed due to the Queen’s passing.

The 416-page book has been billed by publisher Penguin Random House as a work of ‘raw, unflinching honesty’.

Relatives were not given a heads-up on the title – a reference to the phrase the ‘the heir and the spare’ – in advance of last week’s announcement, with a source telling the Daily Mail it will be seen as both ‘controversial’ and ‘provocative’.

Harry has previously called the book a ‘truthful and wholly accurate’ portrait of his life – the prospect of which has sent shockwaves through the royal establishment.

It comes amid reports that Meghan is hiring Oprah Winfrey’s party planner for her 40th birthday bash which will host 65 and not break Covid rules.

The Duchess of Sussex has reportedly tasked Colin Cowie with planning the milestone birthday at her and Harry’s £11million mansion in Santa Barbara, California.

Cowie is known for his extravagant and was one quoted saying that “the equation for the gold standard of service isn’t 1+1=2. It’s 1+1=3. What can you do to stay ahead of the curve?”

He’s organised bashes for big-name celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, Tom Cruise and Kim Kardashian.

Harry has reportedly ordered a cake from local baker Posies & Sugar and the party is supposedly going to be low-key, according to the Mirror.

Guests on the day will enjoy “grazing tables” with locally sourced foods and wines.

A source said: “Megan wants a small gathering. About 65 people are invited, her closest friends and family. Colin was recommended to her by Oprah who always puts on fabulous parties.”

With all this praise, it appears Meghan and Harry have been left in the dust by the American public, something that one royal expert thinks is really upsetting them.

Harry shared revelations in his 2022 memoir Spare that did not paint his brother and his brother’s wife in a positive light. This includes claims that he and William got into a physical altercation and that Kate had a falling out with Meghan over Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress.

The royal editor of Talk TV, Sarah Hewston, told The Express: “It could have very much gone the other way for Kate and William and I think they were very concerned about how the American public might respond to these revelations.”

“But it looks from the polling, that they are siding with Kate and William,” she continued. This reportedly left Meghan and Harry with “a sense of frustration” according to Sarah.

She also said the polling left Meghan and Harry “isolated” and “angry.” It would come as no surprise that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would feel that way.

Additionally, they must cover utilities, landscaping, maintenance, and security expenses, which can easily reach hundreds of thousands annually, excluding major renovations and repairs.

Despite these costs, the Sussexes need not worry about their finances. Reports indicate that their combined net worth stands at £48 million. Since relocating to the US, they’ve secured lucrative deals with Netflix, publisher Penguin Random House, and Spotify. Before joining the Royal Family, Meghan was already worth an estimated £3.5 million, thanks to her role as Rachel Zane in the hit legal drama series Suits, where she earned an impressive £37,000 per episode.

A source told Heat Magazine: “Meghan’s fearful of losing her title, and the repercussions of Harry’s statements about the Royals in his recent Apple TV+ documentary with Oprah Winfrey.

“She’s secretly reached out to Kate, as she knows that the only hope they can have of smoothing things over with the family is to get Kate on their side.”

The source added that Kate would rather “stay out of any ‘secret talks’” as she fears “anything she says could be used against her”.

“But,” they noted, “she wants peace and civility, especially seeing how much pain this caused William, Charles and the Queen.

“Her only words of wisdom for Meghan and Harry are to stop once and for all with the public outbursts.”

He said that when he and Meghan were struggling they were refused help from the Royal Family.

“Certainly now I will never be bullied into silence,” the duke said.

“I thought my family would help, but every single ask, request, warning, whatever it is, just got met with total silence, total neglect.

“We spent four years trying to make it work. We did everything that we possibly could to stay there and carry on doing the role and doing the job. But Meghan was struggling.”

On Sunday, the Royal Family offered their congratulations to Meghan and Harry following the birth of their baby daughter Lilibet Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge said they were “delighted” with the new arrival and were rumoured to have sent the Sussexes a gift.

Meanwhile, experts have suggested Meghan and Harry’s decision to name their daughter after the Queen’s nickname offers an olive branch between them and the royals.

However, PR to the stars Mayah Riaz believes this will soon change. Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, she said: “It’s no doubt when Meghan re-joins Instagram she will overtake Kate in terms of popularity.

“Kate’s Instagram is curated with huge precision. There are things which Kate isn’t able to post.”

Mayah pointed out how it’s likely Kate has staff posting to social media on her behalf. The PR expert added: “Therefore, it paints a picture perfect life which the Royal Family are keen to portray.”

Meghan stepped down from the Royal Family three years ago, before moving to America with her husband Prince Harry. Mayah said this will allow Meghan to “post what she wishes”.

“She wont have to run it by anyone for approval before posting it,” Mayah explained. Speaking about what we could expect from Meghan’s Instagram, she added: “We can see all aspects of Meghan and her family life.”

Mayah said Meghan is likely to grab widespread media attention with her Instagram account. She told us: “We don’t often see Kate’s Instagram posts making headlines. However, Meghan’s life on Instagram will lead to headlines. We can also expect to hear news of projects announced first on her Instagram.”

Meghan and Harry were recently spotted dancing the night away at Beyoncé’s concert in California. Mayah said: “We have seen footage of Meghan dancing at Beyoncé’s concert as well as public display of affection with Harry. We would never see Kate and William like this.

“This is why there will be day and night difference between Meghan and Kate’s Instagram. Let’s not forget, people who love to hate Meghan will bizarrely still follow Meghan’s Instagram.”

However, she warned Meghan could be targeted by online trolls. “We are more likely to believe that Meghan herself will be posting on her Instagram. This will lead to an explosion of followers very quickly when it’s confirmed that @meghan is her account.

“Along with the explosion of following, I fear that a lot of it will be trolling. We have seen the amount of hate directed her way on Twitter (X) and sadly, I think that will follow on Instagram too.”

George Clooney explains why he spoke out for Meghan Markle

George Clooney is once again speaking out against the “unjust” treatment his friend Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, has received since joining the royal family.

“I’ve seen it when the press can turn on you for sort of ridiculous reasons and for almost nothing,” the actor said during an interview with the ITV program “Good Morning Britain” when he elaborated on comments he made defending the duchess last month.

“It seemed to be a little unjust since she hadn’t done anything except just happen to live her life.”

The Oscar winner and wife Amal Clooney were guests at the wedding of the former Meghan Markle to Prince Harry last May at St. George’s Chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle.

And Amal was a guest last month at Meghan’s baby shower in New York City.

George said Meghan doesn’t deserve the treatment she’s been subjected to and had nothing but praise for her and Harry.

“She’s a really kind and smart and intelligent young woman and they’re a really wonderful, loving couple,” he said. “Most of it you can just shrug off and not pay attention to, but sometimes it’s unkind.”

Clooney previously defended the duchess when he compared her treatment in the tabloids with the way the media had attacked the late Princess Diana, Harry’s mother.

“They’re just chasing Meghan Markle everywhere,” he told Australia’s Who magazine last month when asked about the duchess’s reported rift with her father.

“She has been pursued and vilified and chased in the same way that Diana was, and it’s history repeating itself,” Clooney said at the time. “We’ve seen how that ends.”

Diana died in 1997 at 36 following a car crash in Paris. Harry was 13 at the time.

“Good Morning Britain” also asked Clooney about his attendance earlier in the week at a Buckingham Palace dinner honoring a charity founded by Prince Charles.
