Princess Anne stated the certain reason why Meghan and Harry cannot return to the royal family

Royal fans call for Meghan and Harry to return to the royal family but Princess Anne opposes

Amid Princess Anne’s increased royal duties, there’s growing chatter about Meghan and Prince Harry’s potential return to the fold.

As Princess Anne reportedly takes on 70% of the royal family’s duties, royal fans call for Meghan and Harry’s return to the royal family.

Princess Anne’s hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed. Recent reports indicate she’s been shouldering the lion’s share (70%) of royal responsibilities. The spike comes in the wake of King Charles and Kate Middleton stepping away from their royal duties as both grapple with health conditions and intense media scrutiny towards Kate for posting an ‘edited’ family image on Mother’s Day.

With her unwavering efforts, Princess Anne’s workload has exceeded that of her brother, King Charles. Princess Anne’s dedication to royal duties raises questions about the workload distribution within the royal family.

    Meghan
As Princess Anne’s workload increases, there’s a presumption about who will step up to share the burden. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit from the royal family left a gap that hasn’t been filled yet. Nevertheless, with the recent developments concerning Princess Anne’s responsibilities, some reason that it’s time for Harry and Meghan to rethink their decision. The calls for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to return to the UK gain voice to relieve these mounting workloads.

The Royal family’s official diary, from 18/03/2024 to 10/5/2024, has in it 55 public engagements that Princess Anne agreed to. Her day will be exhausting, as she is attending five events on the same day, and the remaining weekends suggest that the national tour means she also attended a trip to Scotland recently. The huge amount of her responsibilities is one of the pivotal reasons for people to get concerned about her mental health and the conversation of whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle should return to being working royals keeps on happening.

In total, the eight-week period in question lists 78 public royal engagements. The Duke and The Duchess of Edinburgh will jointly attend two of these. The breakdown of the engagements is as follows: The Princess Royal with 55, The Duchess of Edinburgh with 13, The Duke of Gloucester and The Duke of Edinburgh with four each, Birgitte, The Duchess of Gloucester with three, and The Queen with one.

The royal family is observing a break for the Easter holidays, with no engagements planned from Good Friday, March 29th, until April 5th. Kate is also set to return to royal duties after Easter.

The thought of Prince Harry and Meghan coming back into the royal family isn’t without its challenges. Questions about their roles, duties, and public perception would need to be handled. Furthermore, Prince Harry and Meghan have voiced their desire for financial independence and sovereignty. Returning to the royal fold could mean forfeiting some of the freedoms they’ve achieved since stepping back.

The couple’s place in the monarchy has come up again in the spotlight due of Princess Anne’s workload. Calls for Prince Harry and Meghan to return have been made, but will they follow their own course?

Meghan Markle: Lady Colin Campbell warns Duchess of Sussex not to ‘hustle her way to top’

MEGHAN MARKLE is still settling into her position within the royal family and Lady Colin Campbell wasted no time in giving the Duchess of Sussex some advice on today’s edition of Good Morning Britain.

Meghan Markle urged to ‘come up with a new act’ by Lady C

Good Morning Britain hosts Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard were joined by Lady Colin Campbell in the studio today.

While she was initially there to talk about her Celebs Go Dating debut, conversation quickly turned to her giving advice to Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex.

The Jamaican-born British writer and socialite has published three books about the British royal family and she made her thoughts on the newest royal very clear.

“I think the verdict’s out at the moment,” ITV viewers saw her tell the presenters.

“I’m rooting for Meghan, I hope Meghan is going to do as well as she appeared in the very early days that she would be doing.”

“I have to say, the ride has been rather rockier than one would have hoped,” she continued.

Ben then asked: “Do you think it will calm down now she is a mother?”

“I have an awful feeling that Meghan needs to understand things she doesn’t yet understand,” Lady C replied and Ben probed: “Like what?”

“Like there is a massive difference between being a celebrity, hustling your way from the bottom to the top, and she was a very proud hustler.

“She used to use the word hustle for herself and her first husband, very proudly.”

Lady Colin went on to discuss the transition Meghan is making from Hollywood celebrity to Royal.

“And being a royal; you don’t hustle, the values, embodiment is completely different, she’s sorted, she’s got it, I think she needs to now embrace it and understand it’s a new game in town.

“She’s an actress, she needs to come up with a new act!” the socialite concluded.

Meghan celebrated her 38th birthday yesterday and Prince Harry took to their shared Instagram account with a message of celebration.

The post caption read: “Wishing HRH The Duchess of Sussex a very Happy Birthday.

It comes after the Duchess revealed a project she had been secretly woking on for many months prior to the announcement.

Meghan was the Guest Editor for the September issue of British Vogue, where she chose a diverse selection of women to be the faces of the issue named: “Forces for Change”.

Elsewhere on Good Morning Britain, viewers tuned in to see the show debate whether or not images, pictures and photographs of the Queen are ‘offensive’, which was recently claimed by Lee Hegarty who won £10,000 compensation.

Prince Williams shared a photo of himself, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Taylor Swift backstage at Swift concert in London on June 21

It was a special Friday evening in London at Taylor Swift’s Eras tour concert, for a number of reasons. First off, the “Anti-Hero” singer marked the occasion of concert attendee Prince William’s 42nd birthday by taking a backstage selfie with him and two of his children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

But another very significant moment came out of the evening, when Swift shared a photo the next morning to her verified Instagram showing her and the royal family along with Swift’s boyfriend, American football star Travis Kelce.

The snap is the first photo of Kelce that Swift has ever shared to her main Instagram feed, which makes this their “Instagram official” post. “Happy Bday M8!” Swift wrote in the caption. “London shows are off to a splendid start.”

Kelce and Swift began dating last year, after the famed athlete revealed on a July episode of his podcast “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce” – which he co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce – that he attempted to give Swift his phone number by way of a friendship bracelet during one of her concerts.

According to Swift in December, they quietly “started hanging out” right after that. And when Kelce along with this football team the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl earlier this year, Swift was in attendance and embraced Kelce on the field.

The official Instagram account of The Prince and Princess of Wales also posted a photo from the gathering, showing Swift in her sparkling pinstripe suit with her arm extended to take selfies of the group.

Swift performed the first of three shows at London’s Wembley Stadium on Friday. She then heads to Dublin, Ireland, at the end of this month for the next stop of the European leg of her Eras tour. She will return to London for five more shows in August.

Are Taylor Swift and Prince William friends?

Prince William and global popstar Taylor Swift have long been friends with each other ever since they shared the stage at Kensington Palace to perform ‘Livin’ On A Prayer’ with rock legend Jon Bon Jovi at a charity event in 2013.

William previously told how he obeyed Swift “like a puppy” when starring in the duet with the country-pop artist, after she urged him to join her on the stage.

“I turn up and Jon Bon Jovi and Taylor Swift are at the event, which nearly knocked me off my feet,” William said in 2021. “And then, I went inside, met everybody, a lot of handshaking to do those nights, a lot of chatting. I try and be charming and interactive.

“She puts her hand on my arm, looks me in the eye and says: ‘Come on, William – let’s go and sing.’”

In a surprising turn of events, King Charles has finally reacted to the buzz surrounding Taylor Swift’s new photos with his son, Prince William.

The pictures, which captured a candid and cheerful moment between Swift and William during a recent event, quickly became the talk of social media.

King Charles addressed the attention with his characteristic wit, remarking on the delightful spirit of the images and the unexpected connection between the American pop star and the British royal.

He praised both for their ability to bring joy to the public, acknowledging how such moments of light-hearted interaction can bridge cultural divides.

The King’s comments added a royal stamp of approval to the friendly rapport between Swift and Prince William, further endearing both figures to their global fans.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle risk making “a repeat of the problem” they had with Spotify amid reports their multimillion-dollar Netflix deal is in jeopardy, a royal expert claims. It’s been speculated that the Sussexes’ five-year deal with the streaming giant, set for renewal next year, could be axed, and royal author Tom Quinn says he believes it would be a huge blow for the couple.

“Harry and Meghan are on the brink of losing their multi-million-dollar Netflix contract for the simple reason that Netflix expected a great deal more from the couple,” he told The Mirror.

The Duke and Duchess’ contract with music and podcast hub Spotify was previously axed early due to a lack of projects, and Quinn says the couple are keen to avoid a similar outcome. The royal commentator added: “It’s very likely to be a repeat of the problem with the couple’s Spotify contract which came to an abrupt end in 2023 after Harry and Meghan failed, according to a Spotify spokesperson, to meet ‘productivity benchmarks.”

Despite the speculation, the royal couple are currently working on new content for Netflix. Meghan has reportedly joined forces with the streaming giant for a cookery and lifestyle show based on American Riviera Orchard, her new brand.

Harry, meanwhile, is currently producing a new documentary about the world of international polo. A representative for the Sussexes has been approached for comment.

King Charles needs ‘chance’ to ‘create memories’ with Archie, Lili amid cancer

King Charles is longing to reconnect with Prince Harry’s children, Archie and Lilibet.

His Majesty, who is reportedly planning a visit to America, has his heart melt at the thought of reconnecting with his estranged grandkids.

Royal expert Jennie Bond reveals: “Having grandchildren is a powerful tug on the heartstrings. Little people who are part of your bloodline and have had nothing to do with family quarrels and tensions.”

She tells OK! magazine: “So I can imagine that the King very much wants the chance to get to know Archie and Lilibet and to create some memories for them.”

Jennie adds: “I fervently hope that Harry will not follow Meghan’s example of remaining obdurately estranged from her father and most of her family.”

This comes as Royal author Tom Quinn speaks about King Charles’ attempts to visit grandchildren in America.

Tom told Mirror: “Charles has had discussions about an official visit to the United States at some time in the future, and there is no doubt if it goes ahead he would build in time to visit his youngest son and his grandchildren, but there are mountains of planning to be overcome before that becomes even a remote possibility.”

He continued: “King Charles has privately visited many other countries – he made an unpublicised visit to Transylvania for example to check up on his rental properties – so it’s certainly possible that he would make a discreet private visit to Harry and the children in California. He is desperate to see them and hates the idea that Archie and Lily will not remember him as the warm friendly grandfather he wants to be.”

Meghan Markle was in a relationship with her now ex-husband Trevor Engelson for a number of years prior to meeting Prince Harry and it’s been teased that he could write a memoir

There’s been rumours that Meghan Markle’s ex-husband Trevor Engelson could write a memoir discussing their short-lived marriage.

Meghan, 42, and film producer Trevor, 46, were in a relationship for more than half a decade. The pair got married in 2011 and divorced two years later, after having been together for around six years prior to their nuptials.

They have both since married other people. Meghan’s been married to Prince Harry, now 39, since 2018. Whilst Trevor – who’s the CEO of the production company Underground – has been married to nutritionist Tracey Kurland since 2019.

Woman’s Day magazine has teased about the possibility of Trevor writing a tell-all book, following previous speculation in recent months. The outlet said that sources have suggested that “it is time” for Trevor to speak out about his relationship with Meghan.

Whilst commentator Neil Sean suggested that agents have offered Trevor “big” deals and money. He teased that the producer could be considering the options and said that although he’s moved on, there is “no escape” from his story.

The magazine went on to speculation about what could be mentioned in a memoir. It said this could include the rumour that Meghan “blindsided” him with divorce, reportedly returning her wedding and engagement rings by post.

The former couple separated whilst she was a cast member on the show SuitsMeghan and Trevor got divorced after being married for around two yearsShe's since married Prince Harry, having tied the knot with him back in 2018
It added that the end of the marriage itself could be referenced, with Meghan said to have cited “irreconcilable differences” in 2013. The former couple are understood to have ended their relationship after her relocation to Canada for Suits.

A source said that she was a “completely different person” when she moved to Toronto for the show. They suggested that the split was “sudden and so ruthlessly done,” speculating that Trevor may have felt “used” by the former actor.

The outlet teased that he could also discuss their wedding in a potential memoir. It noted that it’s previously been claimed that guests were given marijuana as a welcome gift at the event, which was held in Jamaica in 2011.

Possession of the drug was reportedly illegal in the country at the time, though it’s believed that possession of small amounts has since been reduced to a petty crime offence. A source said: “The last thing Meghan wants is to be associated with any kind of illegal substance.”

It was further suggested that a book could discuss Trevor potentially feeling like a “stepping stone”. A source said it could “throw fuel on [the] pyre” following Meghan’s comment in 2017 that she didn’t know a lot about Prince Harry before their relationship. The source said it was a “silly thing” to claim.

Woman’s Day also said the book could discuss her family history, including her having reportedly lived with her father Thomas Markle, now 79, rather than her mother Doria Ragland, 67, for a period growing up. A source said: “Everyone knows there’s more to her family story and Trevor’s got the goods.”

And it was suggested that he could write about her “ruthless ambition”. The magazine claims that Meghan wouldn’t have landed her role on Suits without Trevor, who reportedly got her a role on his film Remember Me (2010) prior. It’s said to have been her “stepping-stone role”. A source said: “He got her that role, and they tied the knot two years later, not thinking for a moment she’d up sticks to Toronto a few months later for Suits.”

Meghan Markle was concerned to discover that Victoria Beckham ranked higher than her in the social pecking order and had mansions and private jets at her fingertips, a new biography says

Meghan Markle was “irritated” when she found out Victoria Beckham is richer than her, a new biography says.

Tom Bower’s new book – The House of Beckham: Money, Sex and Power – sheds light on the relationship between the Beckhams and the Sussexes – and where it all went wrong. The former journalist says that the Duchess of Sussex was annoyed when she found out the Beckhams had “considerably more wealth” than herself.

Cracks started to show in the relationship between the famous families in 2018, according to Bower who says that although the Beckhams did secure an invite to Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding, they were not invited to the wedding dinner. He also says in spring last year, it became clear that the friendship between the couples was on the rocks when the Sussexes were not on the guest list for Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding – but Prince William and Kate Middleton were.

In the biography – which was released June 20 – Bower says that Meghan had ranked herself above the Beckhams in the social pecking order, and was fuming when she discovered that, despite her place in the Royal Family, Victoria actually scored higher in terms of wealth and fame. He explains: “In Meghan’s celebrity world, ranking depended on wealth and fame. As a seasoned operator, Meghan deluded herself that her status in the Royal family placed her above Victoria in the social pecking order.”

Bower continues: “She was irritated to discover that the Beckhams had considerably more wealth than herself. They owned five homes, had constant access to private jets, invitations to sail on yachts and much more money. And she was soon to be a duchess.”

Things soured between the women after a report leaked that Victoria had offered Meghan makeup advice, the book says

Bower describes how Victoria made considerable effort to be friends with Meghan – despite the fact the Suits star “put on airs” when they first met – because of the longstanding relationship between the Beckhams, Prince Harry and Prince William.

According to the biography, Victoria kindly offered Meghan tips on where to find the best beauty spots in London – but the relationship between the two women soured when The Sun reported that Victoria had given Meghan makeup advice and the Duchess accused the former Spice Girl of leaking the story.

  • Harry and Meghan’s private Montecito school plans will have ‘major disadvantage’

Harry and Meghan’s private Montecito school plans will have ‘major disadvantage’

With the news Harry and Meghan are looking to send their children to private school, a leading royal author reveals the decision will have ‘major disadvantage’

Harry and Meghan raised more than a few eyebrows earlier this month when it was revealed that the couple wanted to send their children to a ‘prestigious’ private school with a leading royal author exclusively revealing to The Mirror that the pair’s plans are likely to have one ‘major disadvantage.’

With the ex-Royals reportedly eyeing up a school in the heart of Montecito, the luxury, celebrity Southern Californian enclave where they reside, they were recently called out as ‘frauds’ when fees of £40,000 per year were revealed. Royal commentator, Lee Cohen, slammed the pair for their potential plans, saying: “Their supposed commitment to progressive causes is nothing but a façade. If they’re willing to indulge in this epitome of elitism, there is no advocating for equality.”

Speaking to GB News at the time, Cohen questioned how Meghan and Harry could “justify” their decision to look at private schools when “so many families struggle to afford even the basic necessities,” saying: “Sending their children to such a prestigious institution completely exposes the frauds that Harry and Meghan are. By perpetuating the very systems of privilege that they claim to expose.”

Following the educational furore, leading royal author and expert, Tom Quinn, has exclusively revealed that the pair’s plans for Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet will most likely have one ‘major disadvantage.’

Said Quinn: “Harry and Meghan have more than enough money to afford the best schools in California and for all Meghan’s desire to be seen to be helping the poor and the marginalised, she has no intention of providing anything less than the best money can buy for her children.”

He continued: “For the children of celebrities across America, elite schools are the norm – and there is no doubt a private education brings huge advantages as it does in the UK, in terms of connections with other well-heeled and well-connected children.”

However, Quinn was also quick to highlight that the decision would have one major disadvantage: “The disadvantage as we have seen with so many children of celebrities is that it can create expectations for adult life that are not easily achieved – just because your parents are famous doesn’t mean you are going to be famous, but dealing with that can be difficult.”

Harry attended prestigious schools, including Ludgrove preparatory school in Ludgrove, Wokingham, before following his older brother Prince William to Eton College in Berkshire. Meghan attended LA-based private Catholic school, Immaculate Heart High School, after her father won the lottery in 1990, allowing him to fund the nearly £13,000-a-year fees.

    Inside Meghan Markle’s ‘struggles running a 9-bed £12million mansion with 15 staff’

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s £12million mansion costs hundreds of thousands to upkeep, according to an expert. Thankfully, the Sussexes are not strapped for cash

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry “struggle” to run their £12 million mansion, according to an expert.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex splashed out on their nine-bedroom California dream home after stepping back from royal duties in 2020. The sprawling mansion boasts pretty much every facility you could ever wish for, including a library, office, spa, gym, game room, wine cellar – and 16 baths!

Set on 5.4acres of land, the Sussexes’ estate – where they live with six-year-old Prince Archie and three-year-old Princess Lilibet – is surrounded by stunning gardens, as well as a tennis court, tea house, children’s cottage, pool, and five-car garage. However, according to an expert, maintaining their lavish lifestyle surprisingly comes with quite a lot of work and will cost the couple hundreds of thousands of pounds every year to upkeep.

Eric Bramlett – a realtor and owner of luxury real estate company Bramlett Residential – has shed light on the financial and physical toll running a pad like the Sussexes’ would take on the couple. Speaking to Fabulous, he said: “Managing a $14 million (£12 million) mansion like Harry and Meghan’s in Montecito takes a lot of work.”

Bramlett added that the Sussexes’ mansion would come with “high-operating costs”, probably requiring 10-15 full-time members of staff, such as housekeepers, a house manager, private chefs, groundsmen, and security. The expert said that as well as staff salaries, the couple would also have to foot the bill for utilities, landscaping, maintenance, and security – which could total up to hundreds of thousands every year, not including the cost of big renovations and repairs.

Bramlett continued: “It’s like running a small boutique hotel with residential service. The costs pile up quick, but it comes with luxury living.”

Thankfully, money is one thing the Sussexes do not need to worry about. According to reports, the couple have a combined net worth of £48 million, despite stepping down from their roles as senior working royals in 2020 and being forced to repay the taxpayer costs for the renovation of Frogmore Cottage, their former Windsor home.

Since moving to the US, the hardworking duo have managed to secure a number of lucrative deals, with the likes of Netflix, publisher Penguin Random House, and Spotify.

The couple moved to the home after stepping down from royal duties

The mansion is also home to Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet

Before Meghan married into the Royal Family, she was worth an estimated £3.5 million. The Duchess’ starring role as Rachel Zane in the long-running legal drama Suits saw her earn a jaw-dropping £37,000 per episode.

Harry is also pretty set in terms of financial stability. In 1994, The Queen Mother put away a generous £19 million into a trust fund for her great-grandchildren, including Harry and William. According to a report by The Guardian, the brothers split £6 million of the trust when they were 21, with Harry bagging most of it to “compensate for not becoming sovereign”.

The news outlet also reported that Harry will get his hands on more of the trust fund on his 40th birthday. According to Forbes, the late Princess Diana left her boys almost £8 million after tax, which would see them each receive around £340,000 a year, every year after they turned 25.
