Bond Girl Britt Ekland, 82, stuns Good Morning Britain fans with ageless appearance as she wades into 007 gender row on ITV show

Britt Ekland stunned Good Morning Britain fans with her ageless appearance on Friday.

The Bond Girl, 82, joined hosts Rob Rinder and Kate Garraway to discuss the next Bond on the breakfast show.

And the actress looked nothing short of gorgeous in a mustard yellow blouse with sequined embellishments and a pair of jeans.

The star wore her blonde locks loose and rocked dramatic eye make-up.

Britt looked every inch the glamour puss as she discussed the future 007 but divided viewers with her opinion on the character.

When Rob asked whether the Swedish actress thought the iconic spy could be played by a woman, Britt was shocked.

Rob asked: ‘Could Bond be a woman?’.

Britt shut the presenter down immediately, quipping: ‘No!

‘Bond was written as a man, and it has to be a man and it has to be an English man.’

And her thoughts on the Bond gender row divided viewers with something noticing Rob’s shocked face while others supported her opinion.

One fan too to X and wrote: ‘Britt E said Bond has to be an English man. I assume she really means British (Eh?…Mr Connery?)

Another said: ‘Robert Rinder trying to get Britt Ekland to say the new James Bond should be a woman for her to shut him down with ‘The part was written for a man’ wasn’t on his agenda’.

A third commented: ‘Well done Britt. ‘Bond’ should be played by a British Man, because that’s how he is written in the books.’

But the star seemed to leave Rob a bit shocked when she said: 'Bond was written as a man, and it has to be a man and it has to be an English man.'

After the awkward exchange, which left presenter Rob red-faced, the discussion turned to the identity of the new James Bond.

Rob said: ‘Aaron Taylor Johnson is one of the people whose name is in the frame, there are a lot of them but what would you make of him?’

Britt suggested that Aaron would be an ‘interesting’ choice, saying: ‘He would look very nice in those swimming trunks. He is a great actor, and very interesting.’

The comments come after it was revealed that Aaron ‘has been formally offered the opportunity to play James Bond back in March.

The actor, 33, is yet to officially accept the role, but should he do so he will become only the seventh actor to play the iconic British secret agent since the franchise launched in 1962.

A source told The Sun: ‘Bond is Aaron’s job, should he wish to accept it. The formal offer is on the table and they are waiting to hear back.

Responding to the rumours that he could step into Bond’s shoes at the time, Aaron played coy, telling Numero: ‘I find it charming and wonderful that people see me in that role. I take it as a great compliment.’

BBC Breakfast’s Charlie Stayt slammed for ‘absolutely disgraceful and embarrassing’ swipe at Carol Kirkwood as fans fume ‘he owes her an apology!’

BBC Breakfast’s Charlie Stayt has been slammed by fan for taking an ‘absolutely disgraceful and embarrassing’ swipe at Carol Kirkwood.

During Thursday’s show, the presenter, his co-host Naga Munchetty and the meteorologist discussed a technical glitch on the BBC’s weather app which incorrectly showed winds of 13,508mph were set to hit London.

After explaining it was an issue, which IT were trying to fix, Charlie continued to question Carol, which left some viewers fuming.

He continued: ‘Are you going to fix this Carol? This has been going on for many hours now. Is anything actually happening? Are you going to fix it

‘Of course Charlie! Of course, we are. It is a big problem, it’s not just one that can be sorted like that,’ she responded while snapping her fingers.

During Thursday’s show, the meteorologist discussed a technical glitch on the BBC’s weather app which incorrectly showed winds of 13,508mph were set to hit London

Carol added: ‘So our technicians are working on it as fast as they can and it will be sorted as quickly as it possibly can, again our apologies on this.’

    But fans weren’t happy with Charlie’s questioning and shared to X: ‘Was there really a need for Charlie Stayt to speak to Carol Kirkwood the way he did about the weather app glitch on the last weather bulletin? I thought he was mucking about at first. Going all Paxman on a work colleague seemed a bit much’;

    ‘Why are Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt always having a go at Carol Kirkwood. They might think it’s banter, to the viewer it comes across as workplace bullying’; ‘Charlie had a moment of existential crisis there’;

‘Absolutely disgraceful by Charlie on BBC Breakfast. There’s a glitch on the app showing incorrect wind speeds. He shouted at Carol and demanded to know when it would be fixed. Embarrassing and petulant. He owes her an apology.’

Carol was forced to insist a hurricane was not battering Britain after the channel’s app showed 13,508mph winds in London.

The app also showed that Nottingham was going through an extreme heatwave with temperatures of 404C.

Carol said an error within the app had caused the shocking number and that the BBC was trying to fix the issue.

She said: ‘We’re having a technical glitch at the moment.

‘It’s showing wind speeds far too fast – in fact hurricane strength – and of course that is not the case at all so please do not be alarmed by that.

‘We are well aware of that and we are on it. We are trying to fix it right now, so hopefully that will sort itself.’

Fellow Beeb presenter Matt Taylor said in a post on X: ‘Don’t be alarmed folks – Hurricane Milton hasn’t made it to us here in the UK!

‘There’s been a data glitch between our suppliers and the app/online. Folk are working to solve the issue.’

BBC Weather apologised and said it was ‘working hard to fix it quickly’.

Meanwhile, presenter Simon King said: ‘Oops, don’t be alarmed by some of our BBC Weather app data this morning.

‘Be assured there won’t be 14,408mph winds, hurricane force winds or overnight temperatures of 404C.’

Viewers were quick to draw comparisons with Michael Fish’s infamous broadcast brushing off concerns of a hurricane on October 15, 1987.

Fish told viewers there was unlikely to be a hurricane – before the Great Storm of 1987 pummeled Britain, leaving 22 dead and £2billion worth of damage.

Former MP Dame Tracey Crouch shared a photo of BBC weather presenter Fish with the caption: ‘I see the BBC weather app is having a moment this morning. Don’t worry….’

The BBC said that accurate weather headlines for Thursday included colder, clearer air moving in, rain and drizzle in the south and blustery showers near the east coast.

A BBC spokesman added: ‘We’re aware of an issue with our third-party supplier, which means our Weather app and website are wrongly predicting hurricane wind speeds everywhere. That is incorrect and we apologise. We’re working with our supplier to fix this as soon as possible.’

It came as Hurricane Milton mauled Florida on Wednesday night with record flooding and devastating 120mph winds that destroyed the roof of Tampa Bay Rays baseball stadium.

Tropicana stadium had been a designated shelter for first responders and cleanup workers awaiting the aftermath of the historic storm and the destruction in its wake. Footage from inside the facility showed a debris-filled field with empty cots meant for sleeping.

The Princess of Wales broke off during a meeting with Southport rescue teams to those who had rescued children in the shocking attacks.

Princess Kate made a surprise visit with Prince William to meet with the families of victims and emergency workers who were caught up in the horrific stabbings. After a private meeting with the victims, William and Kate went on to thank brave rescue crews who rushed to save children stabbed in the ordeal.

Chief fire officer for Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service, Phil Garrigan, revealed how the Princess of Wales broke off during the emotional meeting to give her own personal thanks. He said: “The Princess of Wales broke off and came back into the building to give a hug to the people who responded because she could see the emotion in them and could see it was difficult for them to relay their feelings and to say how impactful events have been. I think it just shows a really caring side and is very very touching for them.”

Bebe King, six, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and Alice Da Silva Aguiar, nine, died as a result of their catastrophic injuries when a knifeman broke into a Taylor Swift- themed dance party on July 30. Dance teacher Leanne Lucas, 35, was also critically wounded after being stabbed in the neck, back and arms as she fought to protect her class.

The unannounced trip to Merseyside today was William and Kate’s first joint official outing since the princess’s course of chemotherapy treatment ended in the summer following her cancer diagnosis earlier this year. It is understood the engagement was planned as a solo visit for William but Kate decided to join her husband in order to show her support, empathy and compassion for the local community. The Waleses met the families of the three slain little girls and Leanne in a private reception, before moving to Southport Community Centre.

There, they were joined emergency responders involved in the attack to hear about their experiences and meet health practitioners supporting the ‘blue light’ community in Southport. Here they comforted tearful fire crews, police officers and paramedics who recalled the traumatic events of that day.

Kate wore a long brown coat and heels with her hair down and curled and looked serious as she spoke to the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Merseyside Peter Oliver who greeted the couple. The prince and princess spent half an hour with each of the family groups and were 45 minutes late arriving, and William could be heard apologising to the waiting guests.

William, 42, said: “Thank you, you are all true professionals, look after yourselves.” But in a personal touch the future king prompted a laugh by insisting: “Get inside and get yourself a cup of tea to get warm” after a 30 minute meeting in the community centre’s garden.

During the meeting, royal couple sat together and asked about the mental health support which had been available to emergency service workers. Kate said the personnel had been supporting people through their “darkest times”. She said: “For you to witness that, you need support yourselves.” The princess said she imagined the experience took “its toll” on them.

Terrifier 3 hit with rare ban after reports of cinema walkouts and vomiting

Terrifier 3 has been slapped with a super rare ban in France after reports of viewers vomiting and walking out due to its extreme gore.

The French film classification committee, ahead of the movie’s release, imposed an under-18s restriction on the flick a move not seen in nearly two decades since Saw 3 in 2006.

It was highlighted that “Horror films in France ordinarily receive the maximum of an under-16 ban, with an under-18 ban reserved for the most extreme of films.” The French distributors of the film expressed their dismay to Bloody Disgusting, stating: “We can only deplore this unexpected final decision, which will seriously hamper the release of the film, awaited by tens of thousands of French viewers and scheduled for 9 October (and of course maintained).”

They described Terrifier 3 as “a film d’auteur in the purest tradition of the slasher genre, with the perfectly ‘grand-guignolesque’ and unrealistic violence”. They added: “The film never takes itself too seriously and we know that viewers will have the necessary distance and maturity to understand and appreciate this artistic approach,” reports the Daily Star.

The distributors also mentioned their dedication to the genre, saying they have “been working daily and tirelessly to defend free, creative and radical genre cinema” for over two years. Fans of the Terrifier series are up in arms about the ban, eagerly anticipating the third chapter.

Many labelled the decision “ridiculous,” sparking fervent discussion online. One Reddit user angrily expressed, “Considering how horrible some new French extremity films are, this seems weird to me.” While another wryly commented, “This really upsets me. Why is it they didn’t ban minors from T2? And why is Saw 3 in this category? “.

There was also bewilderment over the fact that the franchise’s first two films escaped the ban, along with The Substance, a gory title recently screened featuring stars Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley.

IMDB currently gives the move a 6.5/10 rating. The synopsis on the site for the Damien Leone production reads: “Art the Clown is set to unleash chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.” Among the cast featured on the film include Lauren LaVera, David Howard Thornton and Antonella Rose.

Line Of Duty actor Anna Maxwell Martin had ‘deal breaker’ for co-star in serial killer drama

Anna Maxwell Martin plays victim Delia Balmer in true crime thriller Until I Kill You

Line Of Duty and Motherland star Anna Maxwell Martin reveals there were moments her co-star genuinely terrified her in her latest serial killer drama.

Anna plays Delia Balmer in upcoming ITV true crime thriller Until I Kill You, which sees Vigil actor Shaun Evans play killer John Sweeney, who is currently banged up in prison for two canal murders. Sweeney tried to kill his girlfriend, agency nurse Delia – and very nearly did, in a brutal attack with an axe in 1994, but she miraculously survived. He had previously confessed to murdering an old girlfriend, Melissa Halstead, chopping her up and throwing her body in a suitcase in an Amsterdam canal. He was also convicted for murdering another ex, Paula Fields, in the same way, throwing her body into a London canal, and police suspect he killed other women.

Anna says: “I found a lot of watching Shaun bring John to life quite impactful because it was very realistic. The violence when he attacks Delia on the steps… yes, it was very real. And that makes you fully inhabit the role and realise how traumatic and terrible that must have been for Delia. Then watching Shaun in court was pretty terrifying. He was genuinely frightening. I can’t imagine how that must have been for everyone in real life. I thought, ‘God, this is a lot’.”

Anna admits that the choice of who was cast opposite her for the thriller was “a real deal breaker”. She says: “It was really important to me who was going to play John Sweeney. I spoke to the director and we sort of agreed, ‘Let’s not get anyone who’s a d***head’. It would just be too difficult, someone who goes in on themselves, someone who sucks air out of the room. But Shaun is just a brilliant listener. You want everyone to feel comfortable and not have a miserable time at work.”

Shaun Evans as a young Inspector Morse in Endeavour
Shaun Evans as a young Inspector Morse in Endeavour

Shaun, also known for his role as a young Inspector Morse in ITV’s Endeavour, nearly rejected the part. He says: “Obviously you’re the antagonist and I was kind of repelled when I read it. But then I thought that’s interesting territory – but I had trepidation. It’s a delicate balance because these are real people.” Both Anna and Shaun decided not to meet Delia before filming, though she visited the set, with Shaun listening to Sweeney’s voice and keeping copies of Sweeney’s gruesome drawings of his victims in his dressing room.

There was one particular scene that Shaun describes as like being “punched in the gut”. He says: “It’s the scene where Delia has been tied to the bed and it’s about his manipulation of her and it was a very harrowing moment and I thought, ‘This did actually happen’.” In the scene, Sweeney has tied Delia to the bed for several days and threatened her with a gun and a knife, warning her that if she screamed, he would cut her tongue out.

Anna adds: “That scene was less impactful for me because when you’ve got to be tied to a bed completely naked, your head goes to a really practical and technical place.” Anna and Shaun also reveal that Delia, now 74, visited the set and struggled with certain details, unhappy with the placement of some props and some of the costumes. Anna says: “It must be extremely challenging to watch your life played out.”

The drama deals with the way female victims of male violence have been dealt with by the police and by the judicial system. Writer and executive producer Nick Stevens adds: “The first time I met Delia, I went to her flat, which has a lot of artefacts in it from those days, including the bed that Sweeney made them. And one of the first things she did as she was talking to me to demonstrate what had happened was throw herself on the bed, arms out, legs out. Then she took me into the kitchen, took a knife out of the drawer and repeatedly went for her stomach to demonstrate what he’d done with that. So that gives you some insight into where Delia’s coming from. In terms of the detail, it’s all in there.”

  • Amanda Abbington’s ‘verbally abusive’ behaviour to Giovanni Pernice laid bare

Amanda Abbington’s ‘verbally abusive’ behaviour to Giovanni Pernice laid bare

Amanda Abbington has been accused of using a string of swear words directed at her professional Strictly Come Dancing partner, Giovanni Pernice.

The Sherlock actress, 52, was paired with the Italian dancer on the BBC show last year, but things ended in turmoil when Amanda left the show early due to complications with Giovanni. She recently also revealed that she had been dealing with a breast cancer scare while on the show.

The actress filed a complaint against Giovanni shortly after quitting the show and made a number of allegations about him – including that he used vile and insulting language when speaking to her. Giovanni has always strongly denied Amanda’s claims.

A BBC inquiry into the matter mostly exonerated the professional dancer from allegations last month but did issue an apology to Amanda after confirming some of her accusations of bullying.

It was revealed that months of waiting for the outcome of the probe had come to an end and bosses have ruled that the Italian dancer was not abusive, threatening or intimidating. They also confirmed there was no aggressive or physical conduct.

In a recent interview, Amanda recalled discovering two lumps in her breast, which turned out to be non-cancerous, during what turned out to be her ‘final week’ on Strictly. She added she was relieved her cancer scare meant she could quit the competition.

Although some of Amanda’s claims against Giovanni were upheld, it has now been alleged by Mail Online that Amanda directed a ‘string of swear words’ towards Giovanni – and was reportedly deemed to have been the one to start the coarse language by the BBC probe.

According to the report, Amanda was also reportedly ruled to have been the only one to have used the ‘c-word’ in the hours of rehearsal footage seen by investigators in the inquiry.

A BBC source told the publication that during their written exchanges on WhatsApp, Amanda reportedly referred to the Italian dancer as a ‘k***head,’ a ‘d***face’ and a ‘t**t’. It comes after Amanda complained that Giovanni was verbally abusive to her during rehearsals.

“Amanda has continued to go out there and say how awful Giovanni has been to her yet she was saying things like this to him,” the source told Mail Online. “She used swear words a lot, yet she has gone on the telly to say how awful things have been for her and how she had to go home and process all of Giovanni’s swearing.”

“It is all very, very rich of Amanda to have said this, now we know the truth. It’s notable that she has chosen not to share this part of the report while going on television and giving interviews to sling mud at Giovanni,” they added.

The insider also claimed that evidence showed ‘regular swearing, dark humour and jokes of a sexualised nature’ came from both Giovanni and Amanda – so much so that those around them were made to feel ‘uncomfortable’ by their behaviour and the way in which they spoke to one another.

“Both Amanda and Giovanni used language freely,” said a BBC source. “Amanda did too and she didn’t need to be prompted by Gio at all,” the source said.

The source claims that the pair both used derogatory language with one another

    BBC)Don’t Miss
The pair were partnered together on last year’s series and Amanda made allegations of “bullying” and “aggressive behaviour,” but professional dancer Giovanni denied “abusive or threatening behaviour”.

Amanda questioned his teaching methods and described his behaviour as “unnecessary, abusive, cruel and mean” and in one interview, Amanda compared the BBC show to “the trenches” as she told Channel 4 News the broadcaster’s producers had been left “horrified” by clips that proved her allegations of “humiliating behaviour of a sexual nature.” The Sherlock star was on the show for several weeks but pulled out early.

Friends of Giovanni have since accused Amanda of taking things “gone too far” and attempting to “destroy” him. “Amanda went too far, what is she doing? She knows full well what was in the report, she kept referring to it during the interview, saying that she had a 30-page report with her in the studio, which she said she and her lawyer are digesting,” one told the Daily Mail after Amanda’s Newsnight interview.

Another commented: “When will she stop? Once again Abbington is destroying Giovanni in the media. For months, there have been stories in the papers of far more serious things Amanda says he did to her, those have not been upheld so what has she got to say about that?”

Responding to the findings of the Strictly probe last month, Amanda said that despite the vile abuse she had received, she had “never regretted coming forward” and that the apology was a “vindication” of her complaint. She went on to reveal she had been invited to meet with senior management at the BBC, which is something she is considering.

Amanda in a statement: “As the BBC has indicated today in its statement, my decision to come forward and complain about Giovanni Pernice’s conduct towards me was not an easy thing to do. In the days, weeks and months since I contacted the BBC, I’ve been accused of being a liar, a troublemaker and of being “mad and unstable”. I’ve also received rape and murder threats and a bomb threat was sent to my place of work. My family and children have also been subjected to threats and intimidation.

“Despite this vile abuse, I’ve never regretted coming forward, and today’s apology from the BBC is a vindication of my complaint. It’s not just a vindication for me, it’s a vindication for the other people who have contacted me since I made my complaint to express concerns about their own experiences on Strictly Come Dancing. I hope those who have felt unable to speak out now will be more confident that they will be listened to and believed. The BBC has invited me to meet with senior management and this is something I will now be considering.

“This apology means a great deal to me. So too does the fact that the BBC have acknowledged the steps that were put in place to support and protect me and past contestants were ‘not enough’. What matters most now is that lessons have been learned and that the BBC makes the changes they’ve promised, to ensure others don’t experience the same ordeal that I and others like me did.”

The BBC apologised to Amanda over complaints she made about her time on Strictly Come Dancing in 2023. After the investigation, the BBC upheld some of the complaints she made against her professional dancing partner, Giovanni Pernice, but they cleared him of other allegations.

In a statement, the BBC said that it takes allegations of bullying and harassment “very seriously”, adding the review into Abbington’s complaints had taken time “due to its complex nature” and in order to ensure “a rigorous and robust process”.

“We have assessed the complaints and we have upheld some, but not all, of the complaints made,” it said. “We want to apologise to Amanda Abbington and to thank her for coming forward and taking part. We know this would not have been an easy thing to do.”

The Mirror has approached Amanda’s representatives for comment on this story.

Emmerdale characters team up in shock revenge – and it’s bad news for Kim Tate

Kim Tate is surrounded by enemies next week in Emmerdale

Danger could be on its way to Kim Tate as two characters will team up, hatching a plan to take her down as revenge for her devious actions.

In recent scenes aired over on ITV, Kim’s marriage to Will Taylor has broken down after he discovered she had blackmailed him, getting revenge for his tryst with ex-wife Rose Jackson. However, the businesswoman portrayed by Claire King gets a shock next week when she finds out her pal Zak Dingle has passed away.

The Emmerdale legend is due to get an on-screen tribute in the Yorkshire-based programme, months after the death of actor Steve Halliwell. But just as she begins to mourn for Zak, Will (Dean Andrews) preys on her vulnerability to get his ducks in a row with Caleb Miligan (Will Ash).

Coming up, Will comforts Kim over the loss of Zak as news of his death spreads throughout the eponymous village. Meanwhile, Caleb is under increasing pressure from the bank and, soon, he and Will spur each other on in their plan to bring Kim’s Home Farm reign to an end.

Later on, just as Caleb tries to remain positive after lying to the bank, Kim asks Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) to move back in at Home Farm, after she’d left the mansion to move in with newly single Laurel Thomas – but will she accept? Elsewhere, Kim’s request spurs Will on to talk to Caleb about bringing Kim down soon. What will they work out?

While this remains to be seen, Caleb has had a complex feud with Kim Tate since he was revealed to be Frank Tate’s illegitimate son. After rocking up the Dales on Christmas back in 2022, the troublemaker vowed to get his hands on the Tate family fortune and roped his own son Nicky into his plan.

Nicky, a gay man, had no other choice but to seduce Gabby Thomas and propose to her, in the hopes he could provide Caleb with an access to the Tate empire, due to Kim being fiercely protective over Gabby and welcoming as her own in Home Farm following the birth of young Thomas Tate.

However, Nicky was soon unable to perpetuate the lie, particularly as his boyfriend Ally was lurking around the village. Overwhelmed with guilt, Nicky told Gabby the truth, revealing that Caleb was trying to get to Kim’s funds. This resulted in a showdown in Home Farm, where Kim confronted Caleb after finding out the truth before allowing Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) to get involved as the Emmerdale tough man ended the conversation by disowning Caleb altogether.

While Cain and Caleb have since buried the hatchet, despite a few mishaps involving Caleb’s wife Ruby (Beth Cordingly), could Caleb’s newest attempt at taking Kim down result in an irreparable rift? Is Caleb being honest with Will, amid fan theories suggesting he could betray him?

Known for amassing followers since starting his YouTube channel in 2009, KSI is ready to step into Bruno Tonioli’s shoes for the 18th series of BGT.

While chatting with hosts Alex Jones and Alex Scott, the 31-year-old rapper and boxer, whose real name is Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, revealed: “My music shows different stages of my life, the ups and downs. With Low, it is more of a personal song and I show a more personal side to me.”

He opened up further, acknowledging the challenges of fame: “I struggle with expressing how I feel in terms of being the public figure that I am. MAFS UK’s Polly reveals husband Adam threatened to ‘leave’ show if she did one thing

MAFS star Polly reveals Adam did not want her to fart in front of him while living together

The marriage between Polly Sellmann and Adam Valentine has been plagued by intimacy issues from the start, on Married At First Sight.

And while viewers have seen Adam trying to connect with the reality TV star on a deeper level, despite regularly announcing that he’s struggling to find a spark, it seems there was one issue that would result in him leaving the show. And that was Polly farting in his presence.

The 28 year old hopeful, who has done her best to try and convince Adam to try and connect with her ,was told in under no uncertain terms that she was not allowed to pass wind in front of him, as he would “leave ” her. Taking to Instagram to speak to her new following, Polly spoke of Adam’s rules that were made behind closed doors and away from the camera.

In a story on Instagram, she said it was normal to break wind but that was one of Adam’s ground rules. She responded to a question that asked her about issues in her relationship while filming the show and said: “But I wasn’t allowed to fart because he said it was disgusting and he’d leave.”

The couple had been seen hitting a number of road blocks since joining each other at the altar, as Adam made it clear she was not the type of woman he usually went for. In one episode at their wedding, Adam told Polly’s best friend: “10 out of 10 for me would be petite, brunette, dark features, tan. She’s not what I expected.”

And their relationship continued to decline as Adam told the experts that he refused to sleep with her again, in order to not give her the wrong impression. However, in last night’s show, Adam and Polly became intimate again, leaving the read haired beauty ecstatic.

Polly’s admission of Adam’s farting rule came before he took to his social media platform to explain his side of the story. He asked his followers: “Okay this needs to be settled. Is it normal for a woman to fart in front of their partners or male friends? As I’ve never heard a woman fart until MAFS.”

And the response, 57 per cent of people voted “yes” and nine per cent voted “no that’s gross. ” Thirty five per cent said “not yet, maybe a year down the line.” It wasn’t that long ago Polly was in the centre of controversy after she accused fellow co-star Charlie of being a bully in her relationship with Eve.

At the time, before her encounter with Charlie, Eve had confessed details of her marriage to Polly and Holly. But the red haired star took it upon herself to question Charlie and accuse her of alleged toxic behaviour. During one of the show’s dinner parties, Polly is seen asking Charlie about her relationship, to then accuse her of being a bully. And after hearing the word “bully”, Charlie was left inconsolable. She was then escorted out of the room and taken elsewhere to compose herself.

EastEnders fans left stunned as Joe Wicks makes surprise return after 27 years

    EastEnders aired an unexpected return

BBC’s EastEnders aired the shocking return of an iconic character.

As Thursdays episode came to a close, fans were glued when David Wicks introduced us to Holly, who we later found out was his granddaughter. Holly sent David a text message on his phone after he ignored her calls this week. The message was her asking if he was “still coming up tonight”, proving they knew each other and hinting it was someone he saw often. Bianca Jackson asked her dad if he was seeing anyone having spotted Holly’s text message earlier in the day. As she asked if Holly was his partner and wanted to know her identity, David avoided the question. He later confirmed that he had only met Holly on the one occasion.

Prior to the on-screen bombshell, David told Bianca he was taking her up north as there was “someone he wanted her to see,” not giving it away that he was still in touch with her brother, Joe Wicks.

However, David’s return has seen some feathers rattled on Albert Square after he was seen passionately kissing his former lover, Cindy Beale – the wife of his half-brother, Ian. But all was revealed in a major cliffhanger on Thursday. As David bowed out of the soap again, he spoke to his granddaughter over FaceTime and shared his excitement ahead of seeing her graduate.

Holly later revealed her “dad” had said David would be able to stay with them following the celebrations before the camera moved to Joe Wicks (Paul Nicholls). Almost three decades after he was last seen on screen, Joe said: “You alright, dad?” as he laughed while thanking David who said he “looks well.”

“Listen, this girl is really looking forward to seeing you in person,” said Joe, before adding: “Tomorrow then?” after David made it clear they haven’t seen one another in several years. “I’ll see you tomorrow,” said a tearful David as the phone call ended. Fans have since taken to social media to share their excitement.

“Well well well Joe Wicks!!” exclaimed one. A second added: “Its getting interesting!!” “#EastEnders Joe Wicks, that is all!” commented another with a heart-eyes emoji. Another added: “Think he should come back with daughter and David to to be with Bianca.” “He’s one I’d love a proper return from,” said another.

David had previously spoken of Joe not being able to let things go in the latest episode, leading to Bianca calling him out. She screamed: “Why are you talking about Joe? Do you think I’m schizophrenic?” Bianca was referencing a huge storyline for the former character as he battled with his mental health after the death of his sister Karen. After exhibiting strange behaviour he was diagnosed with the condition, and sadly he attempted to take his own life.

Joe left Walford back in 1997 a year on from his debut, moving away with his mum Lorraine. He was mentioned by David back in 2012, when David came back to say goodbye to his dying mother Pat Butcher.

There was mention of Joe having a girlfriend with two children while it was later revealed David had lost contact with his son. Years on it’s not clear whether he and Joe are back on talking terms. Given the mention of him, fans can’t help but wonder if a return is on the cards.
