Heartbreaking! Princess Anne Reveals Chilling Truth About King Charles and Queen Camilla: “I Saw Them Behind the Car, Pushing Princess Diana…”

In a startling revelation, Princess Anne has opened up about a shocking moment she witnessed during the tumultuous years of Princess Diana’s marriage to Prince Charles. The Princess Royal shared a deeply emotional account that not only sheds light on the challenges Diana faced within the royal family but also hints at the complexities of the relationships that shaped the monarchy in the 1980s and 90s.

According to Princess Anne, she was a witness to an incredibly distressing scene involving her brother, King Charles, and his then-girlfriend Camilla, now Queen Camilla. The moment occurred during a royal event, where Princess Anne claims she saw them “behind the car, pushing Princess Diana…” The cryptic statement left many speculating about what exactly had happened in that moment and how it may have contributed to the growing rift between the royal family and Diana.Though Princess Anne did not provide full details of what she witnessed, her comment resonates with long-standing rumors and public perceptions of the royal family’s treatment of Princess Diana. Throughout the years, there have been countless reports about the difficult dynamics between Diana and her in-laws, particularly in relation to King Charles and Camilla. Diana, who was often depicted as a vulnerable figure trapped within a loveless marriage, struggled with intense media scrutiny, personal betrayals, and what she described as a lack of support from her husband and the royal household.

Princess Anne’s statement has drawn considerable attention, especially as it touches on the already fraught relationship between Diana and Camilla, who was widely regarded as the third party in Diana’s marriage. The public knew of Camilla and Charles’s affair, which continued even after his marriage to Diana. For years, Diana spoke candidly about the emotional and psychological toll the affair took on her. Princess Anne’s comment, however, gives a new dimension to this painful chapter in royal history.

It’s unclear whether Princess Anne was referring to a specific event or offering a more general reflection on her observations of family dynamics. But what is evident is the profound impact that these hidden truths have on our understanding of the royal family’s inner workings. Princess Diana’s tragic story continues to captivate and haunt us, and this revelation from her sister-in-law adds yet another layer to the already heartbreaking narrative.

As the monarchy continues to evolve with King Charles now at the helm and Queen Camilla by his side, the lingering ghosts of the past remain a powerful force, shaping the legacy of both the individuals involved and the institution itself.

  • CONFUSION IN THE ROYAL HOUSE! Buckingham Palace Trembles As Charles Reads Out Late Queen’s LAST Will…

CONFUSION IN THE ROYAL HOUSE! Buckingham Palace Trembles As Charles Reads Out Late Queen’s LAST Will…

CONFUSION IN THE ROYAL HOUSE! Buckingham Palace Trembles As Charles Reads Out Late Queen’s LAST Will…

Confusion in the Royal House! Buckingham Palace Trembles As Charles Reads Out Late Queen’s LAST Will…

In an unexpected turn of events, Buckingham Palace is reeling from a shocking revelation as King Charles reportedly read out the late Queen Elizabeth II’s final will. Sources close to the royal family have revealed that the contents of the will have stirred up a whirlwind of emotions and confusion among the royal household, raising questions about the future of the monarchy and the family’s intricate relationships.

The will, which had been kept under lock and key since the Queen’s passing in September 2022, was finally unveiled in a private reading attended by close family members and legal representatives. However, it quickly became apparent that some of the Queen’s final wishes were far from what the royal family had anticipated, setting off a series of tense exchanges behind palace doors.

According to sources, the most shocking revelation came from the Queen’s distribution of her personal estate. While the majority of her wealth, which includes valuable estates, jewelry, and royal memorabilia, was expected to be passed on to King Charles as the monarch, several other family members have reportedly received significant portions that have left some within the palace questioning the balance of power and wealth within the family.

A Major Shift in Royal Power?

One of the most intriguing elements of the will was the allocation of several key royal properties, traditionally thought to be passed down only through the direct line of succession. There were murmurs that some of these properties were designated to members of the royal family who are not direct heirs, sparking tensions among the immediate heirs to the throne, including Prince William, who had assumed that these assets would go to him as the next in line.

Furthermore, insiders are hinting at surprising decisions regarding the future of some of the Queen’s personal items, including jewelry that had been passed down through generations. Reports suggest that Camilla, the Queen Consort, may have been left with certain pieces of the royal collection, which has reportedly created some unease among family members, particularly with those who are still processing the legacy of Princess Diana and her connection to the royal jewels.

    Unresolved Tensions in the Family

The timing of the will’s reading couldn’t have come at a more delicate moment, as the royal family is still adjusting to life under King Charles’s reign. With the monarchy still in transition, the reading of Queen Elizabeth’s final will has added fuel to an already volatile situation. It seems the will may have unintentionally resurfaced unresolved tensions between Charles, his sons, and other members of the family.

Although Buckingham Palace has been tight-lipped about the specifics of the will, sources close to the family have confirmed that the atmosphere was charged with emotion during the reading. King Charles, deeply affected by the personal nature of the will, is said to have been particularly moved by his mother’s decisions. However, the mood was reportedly less warm among others, with one unnamed royal allegedly heard expressing dissatisfaction with the perceived “injustices” in the Queen’s final wishes.

What’s Next for the Royal Family?

As Buckingham Palace comes to terms with the fallout from the will’s reading, questions continue to swirl about the future of the monarchy. Will King Charles face internal challenges to his rule? How will Prince William and other members of the family react to the Queen’s decisions? And what will this mean for the long-term stability of the royal family, especially as tensions over inheritance, roles, and the monarchy’s future continue to bubble beneath the surface?

One thing is certain: the reading of Queen Elizabeth II’s final will has ignited a firestorm of confusion and uncertainty within the royal house. The palace may have weathered countless storms in the past, but this new chapter of intrigue and family strife could prove to be one of the most challenging yet. Only time will tell how this will ultimately shape the future of the British royal family.

  • Amanda Abbington ‘turns down Celebrity Big Brother after being traumatised by Strictly’

Amanda Abbington ‘turns down Celebrity Big Brother after being traumatised by Strictly’

Actress Amanda Abbington has reportedly turned down a huge TV opportunity following her time on Strictly Come Dancing as she ‘couldn’t face trolling again’

Amanda Abbington “couldn’t face” appearing on another huge TV show following her time on Strictly Come Dancing.

The actress, 50, took part in the BBC dance competition last year, yet pulled out of the series early. She was partnered with professional dancer Giovanni Pernice and later claimed she suffered PTSD following her stint on the show. Amanda made 17 complaints to the BBC about Giovanni and accused him of “cruel and mean” behaviour.

He refuted the claims but a BBC investigation found he had breached its anti-bullying and harassment policy in six of Amanda’s complaints. Since her time on Strictly, Amanda has returned to the stage yet hasn’t taken part in any TV projects. She was reportedly approached by bosses to take part in the next series of Celebrity Big Brother.

However, Amanda didn’t feel ready to make a return to the spotlight in such a way. “Amanda decided to discreetly turn down the offer because she felt so traumatised by the last reality TV contest she was on,” a source told the Sun. “She couldn’t face going through all the trolling that she received when she complained about Giovanni which made her feel like public enemy number one.

“Of course, the fee for taking part would have been appreciated but she just couldn’t face it.” They added that she will be tuning in to watch the show instead of being part of it. Celebrity Big Brother returned to our screens earlier this year, with a dozen famous faces forced to live together for a total of 19 days.

The celebrity housemates included presenter Fern Britton, music manager Louis Walsh and former X Factor co-star Sharon Osbourne, Coronation Street actor Colson Smith and even Princess of Wales ‘ uncle Gary Goldsmith. However, it was David Potts, who first appeared on TV screens as head rep on Ibiza Weekender who won the series.

ITV have recently confirmed the show will be back on screens next year. While no date has confirmed for the show’s return, one name tipped to feature is Tommy Fury, who was linked with an appearance on I’m A Celebrity but dropped out last minute. Fans have also shared their wishes for who they want to see take up residence in the house including Kaleb Cooper, Danny Dyer, Eamonn Holmes, Joe Locke and Amelia Dimoldenberg.

The BBC went on to apologise to Amanda, who claimed she was subjected to a “toxic environment” and “inappropriate, mean, nasty bullying”. Responding to the findings at the time, Amanda admitted that despite the vile abuse she had received, she had “never regretted coming forward” and that the apology was a “vindication” of her complaint. She went on to reveal she had been invited to meet with senior management at the BBC, which is something she is considering.

Giovanni was axed from the show as the allegations were looked into by BBC. He later said he needed a “break” following the BBC investigation upholding complaints, yet earlier this month spoke of a potential return. The dancer appeared on the How To Be Famous podcast and said: “As I said before, you never know what is going to be next. Strictly, like every other of those jobs when you have to give your life 100 per cent – they are quite tiring you know? When I said I need a break, I need a break, but never say never?”

The Mirror has contacted Amanda’s representative for comment.

  • Davina McCall totally unrecognisable in first look at ITV Masked Singer with Maya Jama

Davina McCall totally unrecognisable in first look at ITV Masked Singer with Maya Jama

The Masked Singer is set to return early next year as Davina McCall debuts a totally different look while Love Island host Maya Jama joins the panel with Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan

Here’s the first glimpse of Maya Jama as she joins the line-up of The Masked Singer – alongside a blonde-haired Davina McCall.

The Love Island host replaces Rita Ora on the panel which also comprises long-term favourites Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan, plus host Joel Dommett. Davina, normally a brunette, is recovering well from her recent brain surgery and made her first public trip out last week.

The ITV series, which returns in the New Year with a new batch of famous faces under the impenetrable costumes, was recorded many months before Davina’s tumour was discovered. Her short blonde hair is, in fact, a wig. Last week Davina, 57, made her first public appearance since her operation as she attended a charity event at All Saints Church, Fulham to support her neurosurgeon Kevin O’Neill and the Brain Tumour Research Campaign.

In a speech she said: “I know lots of you here are on your own brain tumour journey and many of you have lost loved ones- I lost my sister to a brain tumour in 2012 and my ex father in law a year ago.”

The Masked Singer is said to have reached 37million viewers since it launched in January 2020, and this year’s cast will follow in the footsteps of the many big names who have already appeared including Dionne Warwick, Richie Sambora, Michael Owen, Daisy May Cooper, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Sue Perkins, Glenn Hoddle, Pat Cash, Lorraine Kelly, Jason Manford, Jake Shears, Sir Lenny Henry and Joss Stone.

Under the format, the famous faces sing while in disguise and then offer clues about themselves as he panel tries to worth out who is behind each mask. When it was announced that Maya was joining the show in September, she said: “I’m such a Masked Singer fan, so joining the panel alongside Davina, Jonathan, and Mo is going to be so much fun.

ITV)“I can’t wait to figure out who’s underneath all those incredible costumes, vibe to their performances, and get front-row seats to the unmaskings.” Katie Rawcliffe, Head of Entertainment & Daytime Commissioning at ITV said: “The Masked Singer is back and promises to kick off 2025 with a bang. TV’s favourite guessing game welcomes the sensational Maya Jama who will be joining our expert detectives, Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan all alongside Joel Dommett. We can’t wait.”

Earlier this year, Rita revealed she is working on a new album and heading out on tour. She told The Sun in July: “I’m definitely touring with this new record that I’m going to put out next year. I wanted to change it up. All the festivals I’ve been doing this summer have been so much fun. Getting to perform live is my favourite part. I hate the studio. I love seeing the crowd and I really connect with the energy. The tour is the only reason I put music out.”

  • Exclusive: Chris McCausland ‘laughing all the way to the bank’ thanks to Strictly Come Dancing win

Exclusive: Chris McCausland ‘laughing all the way to the bank’ thanks to Strictly Come Dancing win

Comedian will earn up to £1million thanks to his triumph with Dianne Buswell – and they’ve solved Strictly’s image crisis in the process

As he lifted the Strictly glitterball on Saturday night, Chris McCausland quipped he’d feared being sent home in week one – despite knowing no celebs actually leave in the opening show.

But after 13 weeks of wowing the viewers he is now laughing all the way to the bank as TV execs vye to sign him up in acting and presenting roles – and tickets to his UK gigs are selling out fast. Experts reckon the comedian – whose stand-up tour is entitled Yonks in reference to how long he’s been doing it – could cash in on his success to the tune of £1million, after the voting public fell in love with him.

Chris, 47, is also credited with bringing Strictly back from the brink, after it was mired in controversy ahead of this series following complaints about abusive behaviour from former contestants. PR guru Mark Borkowski said the comedian had done the series a huge favour – and that it worked both ways.

Chris and Dianne were worthy winners
Chris proved to be a hugely popular winner both with viewers at home and in the studio
    Image:
    PA)
“Chris is the unlikely saviour of Strictly after a pre-season turmoil,” he explained. “His authenticity and humour have given the show a shot of much-needed credibility and warmth, reminding everyone why they fell in love with the format in the first place. He hasn’t just danced his way to the bank, he’s carried Strictly there with him, turning a potentially disastrous series into a glittering, headline-grabbing redemption arc. Beyond the glitterball, Chris is perfectly poised to cash in; TV deals, brand partnerships and a refreshed comedy tour that will likely sell out faster than you can say ‘paso doble’.”

Chris has already doubled his tour in length, adding 100 dates due to “phenomenal demand” as his star soared at the end of October. Borkowski believes his time on Strictly “transcends disability and rewrites what representation can look like” on mainstream TV.

“As a blind comedian, he’s shattered expectations and delivered a victory that feels both groundbreaking and natural, proving talent and charisma are what truly captivate an audience,” he added. “If the industry loves anything, it’s a story like his: heart, humour and a big win. Strictly just polished his star into prime-time gold.”

Channel 4 and Sky will be the first to benefit from Chris’s newfound star status, having already recorded shows which air over the festive period. This Sunday he will appear in Sky’s Christmas comedy caper Bad Tidings alongside Lee Mack. In it, they play warring neighbours who fall out over some Christmas lights but have to join forces to save the day during a power cut – with Chris’s blindness becoming a useful superpower. And Channel 4 has already filmed Chris as a panellist on its Big Fat Quiz of the Year, hosted by Jimmy Carr.

Yesterday the dad-of-one and his pro partner Dianne Buswell – who gave themselves the team-name Winning Isn’t Everything – issued a heartfelt thank you to the viewers who took them to triumph in the 20th anniversary series of Strictly Come Dancing. Speaking with emotion just after the show ended, Chris said: “Thank you to everyone, this is just beyond words. It’s just remarkable. It’s taking all my energy to not cry again.”

    Chris and Dianne

Dianne, whose Aussie parents were in the audience to witness their daughter’s first victory, added: “This was a dream and the dream has come true. It’s the best feeling in the world. I’m just so proud.” Head judge Shirley Ballas quickly shut down those moaning that Chris was not as strong a dancer as the other finalists JB Gill, Sarah Hadland and Tasha Ghouri – all of whom looked genuinely thrilled by his win on the night.

Sending her congratulations on social media, Shirley told the pair: “I’m in awe of you. You are two truly extraordinary human beings and I am so very grateful to have crossed paths with both of you. Judging you each week has been a privilege. Walk out this ballroom with your heads held high. You are true inspirations.”

Fellow judge Motsi Mabuse agreed, posting: “Over the past 20 years, Strictly has shown us that it’s so much more than just dancing—it’s about the power of transformation, the courage to step outside your comfort zone, and the magic of hard work and dedication paying off. Chris’s journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. From the very first steps to mastering those breathtaking routines, he’s shown us what is possible when you give it your all. It hasn’t just been about the steps—it’s been about the resilience, the growth, and the sheer joy of embracing something completely new.”

Collecting the trophy on Saturday, Chris dedicated it to Dianne, 35, who joined the show in 2017. “I know no-one goes out in the first week but I thought I still could,” he laughed. “This is for her, and it’s for everyone out there who has been told that they couldn’t do something, or thought they couldn’t do something. It just shows that with the right opportunity, and support, and determination – anything can happen.” Dianne insisted: “Chris says this is for me but it’s not for me, it’s for both of us. Chris and I did this together.”

Even Craig Revel-Horwood showed his softer side during the final – which many viewers branded “the best ever”. He wrote a moving poem for the comedian, which ended with the lines: “A heart that dances pure and free, is worth much more than a ten from me, you’re a light that shines for all to see.” One fan said in response: “That poem was possibly the nicest thing I’ve ever seen Craig do on Strictly.”

Chris’s wife Patricia was also in the audience to cheer him through on Saturday night, sitting next to Lee Mack. On her enjoyment, as she followed the series from their home in Liverpool alongside their daughter Sophie, 11, Chris explained: “This show completely consumes both your professional life and your personal life. My wife didn’t watch Strictly but friends did and so it’s been really nice for her to have those friends alongside her throughout the whole process and kind of induct her into what Strictly is. It’s been beautiful in that respect.”

Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae spark reconciliation rumours as they’re seen together for first time

It has been four months since Love Island stars Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury shocked fans with news of their break up – but now fans are hoping they could be getting back together

Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury have sparked reunion hopes after spending an afternoon with their toddler daughter.

Love Island fans watched the 25-year-old couple fall for each other on the ITV show back in 2019 – and then followed their romance through social media updates that included the happy news of the arrival of their daughter Bambi in January last year followed by an engagement. Fans were then stunned in August this year when the couple announced they were ending their relationship after five years.

Now there is speculation that the couple could be reconciling after they were spotted together for the first time since the shock news of their break-up. The pair were causally dressed as they took Bambi to a soft play centre in Cheshire on Saturday.

Molly-Mae sported a pair of loose grey jogging bottoms and wrapped up in a puffy coat as she took to the streets in chilly weather conditions. While Tommy wore a simple black tracksuit and a puffy coat of his own.

The doting dad carried Bambi in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other – while the pair walked separately, but looked in good spirits.

Photographs obtained by the MailOnline showed the couple together with their daughter in the weak winter sunshine. They report that they spent time at the soft play centre before leaving and driving off in separate Mercedes cars.

Later that day, Molly-Mae took to social media to share an adorable photograph of herself spending quality time with her daughter. She uploaded a snap of them together with their blonde hair tied up in buns and wearing opposite colours – with the Love Island star wearing a dark top while Bambi sported a white outfit. Sharing the image on her Instagram Stories, Molly-Mae wrote: “Two chilled, lazy, messy bun haired girls.”

Earlier, she had amused fans by sharing a note from Bambi’s nursery teacher which seemingly quoted something the young girl had said while in nursery. With a string of laughing emojis, Molly-Mae typed: “Thank you for brushing my hair and always making sure I have my lip balm on. She’s definitely my daughter.”

Molly-Mae devastated fans in August when she announced: “Never in a million years did I think I’d ever have to write this. After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way. I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy’s relationship has come to an end.

“I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority.”

Fearne Cotton breaks cover with kids after divorce bombshell and ditches wedding ring

Fearne Cotton was spotted out and about over the weekend after sharing the shock news that her marriage to musician Jesse Wood has come to an end after 10 years

Fearne Cotton has made a statement by ditching her wedding ring and has been spotted out for the first time since the shock news her marriage is over.

The 43-year-old television and radio presenter has been married to Jesse Wood, 48 – the son of Rolling Stones icon Ronnie Wood – since 2014 but their romance has now come to an end. Over the weekend, Fearne was spotted out on the streets of London with her wedding finger noticeably naked.

On Sunday, Fearne was spotted out and about as she went to collect a morning paper and some milk. While she kept her right hand covered and then exposed – with rings on all her fingers on display – it appeared she had ditched her wedding ring as she grabbed a newspaper.

While she had a dazzling band on her middle finger, her wedding finger was clearly bare as she walked around in a thick fluffy coat and wrapped up with a scarf. The star looked strained as she went about her morning just days after her shock announcement that her marriage had ended.

Fearne broke the news of her split last week, writing online: “It is with a heavy heart that I let you all know that Jesse and I are ending our marriage. Our priority has been, and will always be, our children. We please ask that you respect the privacy of our family at this time.”

The formed CBBC star had married to guitarist Jesse in 2014 after three years of dating together. They went on to welcome two children; welcoming their son, Rex, 11, in 2013, and a daughter named Honey, nine, in 2015. Jesse already shares two children, son Arthur, 22, and daughter Lola, 19 with his ex Tilly Wood – and Fearne had been a proud step-mother to both of his older children, regularly mentioning them on social media.

In the wake of the shock split news, one of Fearne’s friends has reportedly said that a personal change in Fearne could have been the catalyst for the change in their marriage. As reported by the Mail, a source said: “They are a lovely couple. But Fearne has changed a lot since they got together. She was a kind of rock chick when they first met and now she has turned into a bit of a hippy dippy therapy type.”

It’s reported that Fearne immediately got on with Jesse’s family, including his dad, Rolling Stones star Ronnie and his younger sister Leah.

The source added that Fearne “wouldn’t stop smiling” after she met “handsome and kind” Jesse, who was the polar opposite of her former partners However, Fearne had recently opened up about the fact her sex life with her husband had faded away over the years.

She told Alan Carr in 2021 on his Life’s A Beach podcast, Fearned admitted: “Sexy time hasn’t happened for so long in terms of me going anywhere. I think for me and my husband, booking into the local Travelodge would make us feel sexy at the moment.”

She said explained: “We have had no time alone because of the ridiculous pandemic but before all this craziness, Paris was our go-to. Not every weekend, maybe once a year. But it felt well special because it’s so chic and beautiful. It just has an air of something gorgeous, doesn’t it? I love it there.”

Speaking to show host Tess Daly after he was announced the winner, Chris said on the show: “It’s astonishing, I don’t know what to say. I thought I would go out in the first week or two. We have lasted and lasted and she has got so much out of me, she deserves this so much. This is for her and for everyone out there who thought… who got told they couldn’t do something or thought they couldn’t do it. With opportunity and support and determination anything can happen.”

Ruth Langsford appears to take savage swipe at Eamonn Holmes’ ‘engagement news’

Ruth Langsford’s ex Eamonn Holmes sparked rumours that he’d proposed to new girlfriend Katie Alexander in Paris, after she was spotted wearing a ring on her engagement finger

Ruth Langsford has appeared to take a swipe at her ex Eamonn Holmes’ apparent engagement news, as the star tends to her mother Joan after she was rushed to hospital following a fall.

The couple shocked fans when they announced they were ending their marriage after 14 years. After being together for more than two decades, GB News host Eamonn has now moved on with new girlfriend Katie Alexander, recently admitting he can’t wait for his “tough year” to end.

But as Eamonn travels with his girlfriend, Ruth has more pressing matters on her mind. After jetting out to Australia solo to support her friend and Loose Women co-star Jane Moore in I’m A Celebrity, after Ruth returned home, her beloved mum was taken to hospital with a broken bone.

Appearing to take a swipe at the news her ex is already engaged, Ruth shared a video on Instagram showing her mum peeling vegetables at the kitchen sink. She wrote: “No dancing in my kitchen peeling the veg for my darling Mum this Christmas….she’s had a fall and fractured her pelvis! She’s ok…ish, no surgery required thank goodness but she needs rest and time to heal now.

“She’s in hospital at the moment but I’m hoping to get her home soon. This time last year she fell and broke her hip but recovered well…she’s a very strong woman so I’m sure she’ll recover from this too.” In what seemed to be a dig at Eamonn’s recent news, she added: “Puts life and what’s important into perspective eh? Happy Christmas!”

The Mirror has contacted Ruth’s reps for comment.

This week, she also made a rare comment about her situation, when panellist Mariella Frostup was commenting on wedding etiquette. on Loose Women. Mariella said: “That’s a whole other subject isn’t it? How to divorce well,” to which Ruth quipped: “Oh tell me about it,” adding, “Anyway, funnily its now time for a break.”

Meanwhile, Ruth’s ex Eamonn and Katie, 42, took a Mediterranean cruise together in September, before being spotted in Paris recently. The trip garnered attention as Katie was seen wearing a sparkler on her engagement finger, prompting engagement rumours.

They were photographed outside the Louvre in Paris last week, with Eamonn in a mobility chair and Katie wearing a faux leather coat. The Sun reports that just the week before, Katie attended a West London carol concert with no ring in sight.

“Eamonn has been talking openly about his plans to marry Katie and has made it clear he wants to spend the rest of his life with her,” a source told the publication. “They’re already living together and he knows it feels right. They have a very strong connection and get on very well.”

They added that Katie has given Eamonn a “real lust for life” and that she looks after him. Former This Morning presenter Eamonn has suffered a series of health issues over recent years, following a hip replacement in 2016 that’s left him worried he’ll never walk unaided again.

The cast and crew of Strictly Come Dancing were in high spirits on Saturday night as comedian Chris McCausland was crowned the winner of the 2024 season after 13 exhausting weeks

The cast and crew of Strictly Come Dancing shared hugs, kisses and celebrations as the 2024 season came to an end with Chris McCausland scooping the glitterball trophy.

The 47-year-old comedian triumphed alongside professional dancer Dianne Buswell, 35 – as they saw off competition from JLS singer JB Gill and his dance partner Lauren Oakley, Love Island star Tasha Ghouri and her dance partner Aljaž Škorjanec, and actress Sarah Hadland and her dance partner Vito Coppola. On Saturday night, judges Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, Motsi Mabuse and Craig Revel Horwood watched on with pride as Chris and Dianne won the show.

Asked by show host Tess Daly how it felt to win, Chris tearfully declared: “It’s astonishing, I don’t know what to say. I thought I would go out in the first week or two. We have lasted and lasted and she has got so much out of me, she deserves this so much. This is for her and for everyone out there who thought… who got told they couldn’t do something or thought they couldn’t do it. With opportunity and support and determination anything can happen.”

Chiming in, a triumphant and tearful Dianne told him it was “for both of them”, screaming: “We did it!” And after the show finished airing, the cast and crew were all finally free to let down their hair. Taking to social media, head judge Shirley shared a treasure trove of behind-the-scenes images from the night.

Taking to social media, head judge Shirley shared a treasure trove of behind-the-scenes images from the night.

One snap showed her hugging Italian dance professional Vito who pulled her in close and smiled happily as they hugged to celebrate the end of the season. Another snap showed Shirl snuggled up with Vito’s partner Sarah on the floor of the Strictly dance set.

Shirley made sure to catch up with Aljaž and Tasha too – with snaps showing her looking straight into the eyes of the hunky Slovenian dancer as they put their hands on each other, and another snap showing her holding hands with Love Island babe Tash. Singer JB couldn’t resist a beaming smile as he pulled in Shirls for an affectionate cuddle – while Lauren looked thrilled to have a catch up with the judge in another behind-the-scenes snap. Lauren, of course, took over from Amy Dowden who was forced to drop out of the show after the first six weeks due to injury.

But Amy was back at the Strictly studios on Saturday night to watch the final – and shared a snap of herself with the winners at the show. She wrote: “My bestie @diannebuswell and my talented friend, who works so hard but is so loyal, caring, everything a girl needs! Every few days would always check in, always stayed true to herself. Gosh you did such an incredible and inspiring job! @chrismccauslandcomedy in utter awe of you! Congratulations champs!”

Meanwhile, former show professional Kevin Clifton took to social media to share his own joy at watching Chris win. He wrote on Instagram: “Absolutely sobbing… Well done @chrismccauslandcomedy @diannebuswell im so proud of you! What you have achieved is nothing short of sensational. You deserve this sis!!! Also, for about 13 yrs ive heard people say and read articles saying @bbcstrictly is done. And yet, they delivered magic AGAIN. And those people were wrong AGAIN.”

Hilariously, his partner Stacey Dooley, who he won the show with in 2018, declared she was leaving Kevin in favour of Chris. She wrote: “Baby, IM LEAVING YOU FOR CHRIS. He’s knockout and I LOVE HIM.” Showering praise on Dianne, she added: “Lady Di, WADDA gal!” Her comment provoked a flood of crying-with-laughter emojis in response – although one fan wrote back to her to say: “get in the queue lol.”

Show judge Motsi also captured some charming moments after the final – snapping Dianne with members of her family as they celebrated their win. Motsi wrote alongside snaps on Instagram: “Wow, what an absolutely unforgettable night! Huge congratulations to @chrismccauslandcomedy , @diannebuswell , and the entire Strictly family on an incredible journey and an inspiring victory. Over the past 20 years, Strictly has shown us that it’s so much more than just dancing—it’s about the power of transformation, the courage to step outside your comfort zone, and the magic of hard work and dedication paying off.”

“This season has reminded us why Strictly is so special. In just 12 weeks, it has changed lives, brought people together, and inspired millions to chase their dreams. Chris and Dianne’s partnership was the perfect example of the magic that happens when passion, talent, and commitment come together.”

And she typed: “Here’s to 20 years of Strictly changing lives and creating moments we will never forget. To Chris, Dianne, and all the finalists—you’ve inspired us to dance like nobody’s watching. What a celebration of life, love, and the transformative power of dance. Thank you, Strictly, for making the world sparkle just a little bit brighter.”
