Why Westlife Were Better With Brian McFadden?

Let’s be honest; Westlife reached their peak as a five-piece, especially with Brian McFadden.

When he departed in 2004, it created a void the group has never fully filled.

Boyzone and Westlife were huge stars but Brian and I felt left in the background, says Keith Duffy | The Sun

From April ’99 to December 2000, single after single hit number one, achieving 14 chart-toppers in their career.

However, here’s the catch – 12 of those were with Brian.

It’s not a coincidence; it’s a fact. Since his departure, things haven’t been the same.

Brian brought vocal strength, adding a third powerful voice to the group.

Why Dancing on Ice star Brian McFadden will never re-join Westlife

His departure left a gap in both vocal prowess and charisma.

Keane Hegan may have an ego, but his singing ability falls short. Nikki is pleasant but limited to backup vocals.

That puts the heavy lifting on Mark and Shane. Brian wasn’t just a strong voice; he injected fun and mischief into Westlife.

Without him, the group seems devoid of personality, missing the lively spark he provided.

Brian left willingly, but considering his current stage in life, a return seems plausible, especially since he continues to sing those songs with Boyzlife.

However, the real hurdle is likely money.

Splitting earnings five ways compared to four is a significant factor.

Even if Brian were open to returning, Westlife might not welcome him back.

It’s unfortunate because there’s a consensus among fans that the group was better with him.
