As John is giving his speech on why she should pick him instead of the Country duo judges, Chance did the unthinkable and hit the Playoff Pass button. This means she gets to stay on his team and goes straight to the playoffs, blocking both steals. Each judge is given one steal during the battle round.

Fans on X, formerly known as Twitter, praised Chance for his move. One person wrote: “@chancetherapper JUST DID THAT!!!! @NBCTheVoice #TheVoice.” Another person wrote: “Lol, I know that’s right Chance! #TheVoice.” A fan even called the moment “villain behavior” writing: “Why does @chancetherapper play so much? Villain behavior #thevoice.”

John Legend and Dan and Shay were trying to steal Nadège

Even though Dan + Shay and John did not succeed to steal Nadège, country singer and judge, Reba McEntire did successfully steal a contestant in the beginning of the episode. Duo Justin and Jeremy and Frank Garcia from team Dan + Shay were battling it out and sang Million Reasons by Lady Gaga. The three gave a touching performance but at the end, the judges chose Frank over the duo. Reba saved Justin and Jeremy and are now part of her team.

The country duo made The Voice history becoming the first pair of duo judges. The show is known to have top artists in the music industry as panelists. They have also had Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Gwen Stefanie, Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, CeeLo Green, Nick Jonas, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Camila Cabello and Pharell Williams as judges at one point throughout the 24 seasons.
