Meghan Markle has been snubbed by her “dear friend” Sophie Trudeau in a brand-new interview.

In the interview, Sophie – who was previously married to the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau – appeared to play down her friendship with Meghan.

Speaking of Meghan, Sophie told The Times: “I know her… but we haven’t spent much time together.”

Meghan perviously gushed about their friendship, referring to Sophie a “dear friend” and one she admired as being an “emblematic of strength”.

Speaking in an episode on her podcast Archetypes, Meghan claimed that Sophie “sent me little meditations during my pregnancy” and voice notes of “encouragement” and said that she used to go to her “over the years for advice”.

Also speaking of their friendship on Archetypes, Meghan described how the pair spent time at her Montecito mansion, where their children played in the swimming pool whilst they drank wine “on the terrace” and were “giddy like schoolgirls”.

Although it remains unclear if the pair are still friends, a possible falling out could be down to the end of Meghan’s other friendship with Jessica Mulroney – who acted as stylist for Sophie.
