Harry Potter star is unrecognisable as he transforms into Hollywood legend for new TV series

A HARRY Potter star looks unrecognisable after transforming into a Hollywood legend for a new ITV series.

Jason Isaacs looks worlds away from Hogwarts as he debuts a new look for a new TV drama series titled Archie, about the life of British-born Hollywood Icon Cary Grant.

ITV has released first looks pics of the new period drama, which will air in November.
In the Harry Potter franchises, Lucius Malfoy, played by Jason, struck fear into the hearts of children across the globe with his signature sneer and vicious demeanour.
60-year-old Jason has boasted several brilliant roles throughout his acting career, from playing Captain Hook in Peter Pan to appearing in Black Hawk Down, The Death of Stalin, Nine Lives and Star Trek: Discovery.
The four-part, 60-minute episodes will follow the life of a young Archibald Alexander Leach as he grows up in extreme poverty in Bristol in the early 1900s and deals with losing his older brother before becoming one of Tinseltown’s best-known leading men.

Archibald, who changed his name Cary Grant after signing a contract with Paramount in 1931, starred in movies including An Affair To Remember, To Catch a Thief and Bringing Up Baby.
The superstar actor, who died in 1986, aged 82, had an elegant swagger as well as brilliant comedic skills that set him apart as a performer.
The series has been approved and made with the blessing of Grant’s daughter, Jennifer Grant, and his ex-wife, Dyan Cannon, who serve as executive producers.
BAFTA-winning Paul Andrew Williams directs this series and also serves as an executive producer, with BAFTA-winning Rebecca Hodgson as producer.

Award-winning writer Jeff Pope wrote the show, and Etta Pictures produced it.
Jeff’s ITV Studios label, BritBox International, is the co-production partner.
The notable cast that will star in Archie includes Laura Aikman, known for Not Going Out and Gavin and Stacey will play Cary’s formidable ex-wife, actress and filmmaker, Dyan Cannon.

 

Harriet Walter from Succession, Ted Lasso, and Killing Eve will play as Elsie Leach, Cary’s mother.

Dainton Anderson, Calam Lynch and Oaklee Pendergast will play younger versions of the Bringing Up Baby actor.
Archie premiers on ITV in November.
