The rapper has been slammed for his carnival conduct

Chance the Rapper is being called out for ‘inappropriate’ dancing at carnival while married.

The 30-year-old enjoyed a trip to Jamaica this week, at the annual carnival in the capital city, Kingston.

The ‘Juice’ singer, real name Chancelor Johnathan Bennett, has since caused some big waves on social media, and has split the internet right down the middle for his holiday grooving. See for yourself:

Chance first tied the knot with his wife, Kirsten Corley, back in 2019, and the cute couple have gone on to raise two children together.

The pair welcomed first daughter, Kensli, into their lives in 2015 and Marli Grace followed shortly after in 2019.

While the star boasts millions of adoring fans worldwide, it seems like some people aren’t so happy with the rapper’s controversial carnival conduct.

In a video posted to Instagram yesterday (18 April), Chance can be seen getting his boogie on amongst the buzzing crowd but it’s clear that he wasn’t dancing solo.

The father-of-two was shirtless as he danced behind a costumed carnival dancer, who also had another performer dancing on her.

Clearly having fun with a grin from ear to ear, the ‘Favourite Son’ rapper whined with the woman and slapped her backside a few times before walking away.

While Chance was enjoying the festivities – it’s apparent that not everyone else was on board with the weekend’s antics.

The video has since received over 15,000 likes with a whole load of comments from people eager to add in their two cents on the matter.

Many were totally outraged by the married man’s holiday behaviour with one Instagram user asking: “Ain’t he married?” accompanied with a shrugging shoulders emoji.

“If he’s married – he shouldn’t be about the place slapping a girl’s a**,” hit out a second critic.

“Nah,” commented a third, “stay off that married man and find a SINGLE one.”

"Y’all really need to relax."

Another social media user chimed in saying they were absolutely ‘shocked’ with the people defending Chance’s ‘inappropriate dancing’.

Such defenders of the rapper, however, maintained that the incident was just a bit of harmless holiday fun.

“Y’all really need to relax it’s just whining,” posted one Instagram user.

Another echoed: “The fact that so many people asking if he not married just proves to me that Carnival needs to stay a Caribbean event because I can’t.”

“Carnival culture is take a whine and move on. Nothing personal. Just people having fun,” penned a third while a final Instagram user added: “Y’all worried about if he’s married and this man just enjoying himself.”

What do you make of it?
