Meghan Markle has been showcasing her best winter wardrobe at the Invictus Games, and with so many memorable outfits over the last few years – we want to know which one of your favourite
The Duchess of Sussex opted for a more casual look at the Invictus Games in Canada, with a focus on practicality instead of bold statements, but which outfit of Meghan’s is your favourite?
Throughout the tournament, which supports wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans, Meghan has balanced style with the spirit of the games. During her five days at the event, the Duchess has sported a number of chic styles, including elegant knit jumpers and white snow jackets, as well as navy and olive skirts.
While Meghan exuded elegance with her minimalist winter wardrobe, the former royal is also known for her show-stopping ensembles. High-end designers and mid-range labels often make appearances in her red-carpet and street style, including Givenchy, Dior, Posse, and J.Crew, reports Harper’s Bazaar.
In June 2022, Meghan was commended for her sophisticated outfit choice at the Service of Thanksgiving celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee. She stunned in a Dior haute couture look, featuring a classic cream belted coat, which she paired with a floppy hat and diamond stud earrings.
Last year, the Duchess recycled an eye-catching red Carolina Herrera gown as she turned up for a star-studded night at the LA Children’s Hospital charity gala. Body language expert Judi James described the look as “pure Hollywood” rather than royalty, as she told the Mirror: “The attention-grabbing red dress she wore with Harry has had its regal-looking train removed, leaving a sexy low-cut top and leg-flashing skirt.
Meghan poses with her back arched in it, too, which makes better use of the plunging neckline.” Another iconic moment occurred in 2018 when Meghan stunned in a floor length Fijian blue caped Safiyaa gown at a Fiji state banquet, which she matched with diamonds.
Her outfit, worn with her hair down, was by German-born London-based designer Daniela Karmuts. The Sussexes marked their final royal engagement before stepping down from the Firm at Westminster Abbey for the annual Commonwealth Day Service in 2020, with Meghan looking stunning for this momentous occasion.
The powerful look was down to an emerald green Emilia Wickstead dress, teamed with a matching hat and shoes. Speaking on the Mirror’s podcast Pod Save the Queen, royal expert Christine Ross said: “One of the most iconic looks is going to be her green Emilia Wickstead cape dress.
“That cape blowing in the wind as she walked into the church and then walked out of the church, which was such an emotional moment for so many people as it was their last formal engagement as royals. That green dress will stand out in history books I think.”
