The Wanted star Max George back in hospital following second heart surgery

Max had a pacemaker fitted in December and more surgery in February

The Wanted singer Max George is back in the hospital shortly after having heart surgery for the second time.

In December, the Glad You Came hitmaker revealed he had a pacemaker fitted after announcing he had a ‘block’ in his heart. Max, 36, later had a second surgery after having “physical symptoms” in his chest in February.

Max George shares health update

In his latest health update, Max revealed he was back in the hospital today.

In an Instagram Story shared this morning (July 2), the star posted a pic of an empty corridor. Directly in front of him appeared a door that had a sign that read “Cardiology & Chest Clinic”.

Over the top of the photo played Eminem’s song Without Me.

As of this writing, Max, who is dating former EastEnders star Maisie Smith, has yet to issue a further update, so it’s unclear what he’s in hospital for.

‘It’s gonna be a difficult few weeks’

In December, Max revealed that after having some tests done, they found he had “issues” with his heart.

“I have a lot more tests to determine the extent of the problems and what surgery I will need to get me back on my feet,” he said.

“It’s gonna be a difficult few weeks / months… and Christmas in a hospital bed wasn’t exactly what I had planned! But, as always, I’m surrounded with love and support from my wonderful partner Maisie, her family, my family and friends.. and I’m 100% in the best place.”

This isn’t the first time Max has kept fans up to date regarding his health. After having his pacemaker fitted that same month, he discussed having check-ups.

“I’m in the hospital tomorrow for another check-up because I’ve been getting this like flicking feeling in the left hand side of my chest,” he said.
