Stacey Solomon’s Valentine’s Day plans go awry after family travel chaos

Stacey Solomon has shared the unexpected turn of events from her Valentine’s Day, which was thrown into chaos during a family trip with Joe and their kids

Stacey Solomon gave fans a glimpse into her chaotic Valentine’s Day spent with her husband Joe, and their kids.

The mum-of-five took to Instagram to share the travel mishaps she and her ex-EastEnders star hubby encountered after heading outside the UK. The couple had planned a lovely family holiday during half-term, with hopes of a ski trip in Switzerland. However, things didn’t go as planned.

In a photo posted on Instagram, Stacey showed pictures of their children – Zachary, 17, Leighton, 12, Rex, five, Rose, three, and two-year-old Belle – along with her and Joe, as they found themselves stranded in an entirely different country. After missing their flight on Friday, they spent an unexpected night in Paris. But the trip wasn’t a total loss, as the family managed to visit the Eiffel Tower, with Joe and Stacey posing in front of it.

Taking to social media, Stacey wrote: “Happy Valentines Day from the very unexpected Eiffel Tower we missed our train, tomorrow Switzerland so it was a night in Paris instead.

“So we came to the Eiffel Tower because why not. The boys thought it was the best mistake that ever happened they’ve always wanted to see it. Happy Friday everyone lots of love from all of us in Paris.”

Their trip comes just days after Stacey shared with her fans that she’s feeling emotional as she reflected on the bittersweet milestones her children are reaching. In a heartfelt reveal, the Loose Women panelist spoke about the significant steps both her oldest and youngest children are taking at the same time.

After picking her eldest Zachary from college, she emotionally said: “Zachary time. Picked up Zach from college and we are learning to drive. Honestly, where does the time go?” She also admitted her youngest Belle is also off to nursery.

“My eldest is learning to drive and my youngest is off to nursery tomorrow. My heart can’t cope,” coupled with a crying face emoji. Stacey said: “Belle’s

first day at nursery [sunshine emoji and crying face emoji].

“I am not ok [crying face emoji]. Belle ran into nursery and didn’t look back. She had the best day, she didn’t mention us once [crying laughing emoji]. I’m convinced that Belle is so confident and content because she knows she has the best friend in the world by her side, always looking out for her and always there when she needs her.”

She continued: “Sisters are so special. And Rose you are the most incredible big sister Belle could have wished for. From the moment she was born. Happy first day at nursery Belle, the world is yours.”
