Spice Girls ‘finally reunite as group secretly plans world tour without one star’

The Spice Girls are set to reunite for their 30th anniversary next year and head on a world tour, yet one member has ruled themselves out according to reports

The Spice Girl reunion could soon be happening as the iconic girl group celebrate their 30th anniversary, according to reports. However, one member of the group will not be taking part.

Band guru Simon Fuller is reportedly meeting with Geri Horner this week to secure a deal. Emma Bunton, Mel B and Mel C are considering a world tour next year with Geri, however Victoria Beckham has “90 percent” ruled herself out. Geri and Simon are said to be back in touch and meeting in Miami in just a matter of days. Victoria has reportedly told pals she isn’t considering going back to her music roots.

“There have been rumours swirling for months, but Geri has always been too busy and had other things on, preventing her from saying Yes,” a source told the Sun. “Nothing is yet confirmed but Geri and Simon are back in touch with a myriad of exciting ideas.”

They added: “Unfortunately Victoria has pretty much ruled herself out, but there is still a world in which she could do some sort of avatar appearance or a special one-off thing.”

Geri will be in Miami to support her F1 boss husband Christian Horner at the Grand Prix, with Simon invited. The source claimed having Simon on board will take a tour “to the next level”. Are you pleased there are plans for a Spice Girls reunion? Take our poll below. If you can’t see it, click here

Just last month Geri confirmed she is on board to reform the band after Mel B shared her own enthusiasm for a tour. Speaking in a new interview Geri said: “My hope is we come back together as a collective.

“It’s more respectful to come as one. There will be something. We’ll come as one. We love each other. I love them, I care about them, we want the best for each other.

Talking to The Times she added: “We shared something so monumental. We’ve always believed in each other, had trust in each other, which is beautiful.”

Geri also confirmed that the girls have a group chat – but wouldn’t divulge what it is called. Mel C also recently hinted that the Spice Girls could do something to celebrate the 30-year anniversary of their debut album, Spice, in 2026.

The girls toured together in 2020 but only as a foursome as Victoria did not take part. Mel C told Rebecca Judd on Apple Music 1: “There has to be something befitting of 30 years since Wannabe.

“Once a Spice Girl, always a Spice Girl. We all feel like that, but we now are getting together because we know if we’re going to do anything, we have to start planning things to get things right.

“We have to start making the plans right now and putting them into action. So fingers crossed.” She added: “I think me and Mel B are probably going to be going in there all guns blazing, ‘Come on! It’s time!'”

Next year, the group will celebrate three decades since they burst onto the music scene and changed history by becoming one of the biggest selling girl-groups of all time.

Since their decision to disband in 2000, they have reunited on several occasions – including in 2007, 2012 for the London Olympic Games and in 2018 to tour across the UK.

Victoria last performed with the group at the closing ceremony of the London Olympics. She didn’t take part in the 25th anniversary celebrations as a source told Daily Star at the time: “Victoria will always be a Spice Girl and loves the girls very much but due to other commitments would not be able to go on tour with them.”

She did, however, reunite the iconic band at her 50th birthday last year. They sent fans into a frenzy when they came together to sing their hit Stop at Victoria’s star-studded bash

It sparked more speculation Victoria would reunite with her bandmates one day, yet she wanted to set the record straight. She told Gwyneth Paltrow last year: “So often people say ‘Are you going to go back on tour?’

“I am not going to go back on tour, on the record. But I loved that time, and I’m so thankful, I love the girls and I’m so appreciative of the fans.”
