Jacqueline Jossa and Dan Osborne have reportedly split after after eight years together, with them reportedly dealing with the matter “privately”

Jacqueline Jossa and Dan Osborne are said to have called time on their eight-year marriage.

The EastEnders actress, 32, and The Only Way Is Essex star, 33, tied the knot in 2017 at a manor house in Cheshire having met each other back in 2013. The couple share two daughters, Ella, nine, and Mia, six, while Dan is also the father of 11-year-old son Tommy from a previous relationship.

After months of speculation from concerned fans, signs of a breakdown in their marriage began to emerge. Jacqueline and Dan were spotted without their wedding rings, and reports surfaced that they were living apart. In January, sources close to the couple revealed that they had decided to go their separate ways and were living apart.

A statement read: “Jacqueline and Dan are handling things privately, choosing to keep their lives and relationship out of the public eye,” It added: “They kindly ask for respect and privacy as they navigate this together. Their children remain their top priority, surrounded by love and care from both parents — something that will never change. Above all, Jacqueline and Dan have each other’s and their children’s best interests at heart. There will be no further comment.”

A source close to the couple said: “Jacqueline and Dan are on a break and are spending time apart from each other. It’s not been easy for them lately and they have made this difficult decision.” They added that neither Jac nor Dan know what will happen in the future but their break was “needed.”

Removing wedding rings

While the pair had seemed to be going strong over the years, Jossa and Osbourne fuelled speculation they had split after having both been seen without their wedding rings recently.

It comes after their last public appearance at the Sonic 3 premiere in December, where they posed with their kids. Jacqueline shared a red carpet photo, while Dan posted pictures with Jim Carrey, giving the impression of a united front.

Living apart

However, another major sign that their relationship had been on the rocks is that they put their £2 million Essex mansion up for sale. Reports also suggest that Dan had reportedly moved out, while Jacqueline remained, signaling further strain in their relationship

Contrasting social media posts

Just hours after news of their split broke, the couple left fans surprised with their contrasting social media posts, reports Manchester Evening News. On Saturday, March 15, Dan shared a mirror selfie on his Instagram Stories, showing himself working out with his 11-year-old son Teddy at Ripped Gym in Basildon, Essex. Dan’s beaming smile was impossible to miss as he snapped the photo with Teddy.

Meanwhile, Jacqueline appeared visibly upset as she took to social media. The mother of two posted a series of somber photos on her Instagram Stories, simply captioned “Saturday.” In the images, she wore a black and white striped short-sleeved top paired with light blue jeans while appearin glum.

Rumours of infidelity and split

In January reports emerged that the couple had broken up, however, mum-of-two Jacqwauline brushed off rumours they had split as she told The Sun: “People seem to think they know more about my life than I do.

“They were saying: ‘Jacqueline didn’t spend Christmas with Daniel.’ But all I have to do is post pictures of us together with Christmas hats on. We lie in bed next to each other, laughing and reading stuff online about us.

“The speculation is ridiculous, but at the same time, I know it comes with the job, so I do understand it.” Meanwhile in a social media post she praised her family writing: “I couldn’t ask for a better family, filled with strong women! My girls are my absolute world and I can’t actually get over how lucky I am.”

The pair have had a rocky relationship
Meanhwile back 2019, the couple were plagued by reports of Dan’s infidelity, prompting the reality star to issue a public apology to his wife – where he admitted to making errors. Taking to Instagram, he wrote: “So after weeks, months, years of constant articles & rumours, some true, some very untrue I want to publicly say, I know I have made mistakes, we all do as humans.

“But I’ve made some that have almost cost me my family. I have seriously learnt from these massively, so I want to publicly apologise to my beautiful wife and my family for the mistakes I’ve made.” Following the apology, Jacqueline moved out of the family’s home temporarily the following year.

She told The Sun: “It felt like everybody wanted to watch me fall apart. I kept it in for a while, but then over lockdown it was a really good time and place for Daniel and I to go through everything — an opportunity for us to talk through it all. For me, this meant turning to therapy. And because of that, I couldn’t be in the same house as Dan. There was no big argument or bust-up, and there were no other girls. Moving out was literally how I had to deal with it.”
