Romeo Beckham has posted a loved-up message to his girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, who is at the centre of the feud with the former footballer’s brother, Brooklyn. Brooklyn, who reportedly dated Kim in 2016, has allegedly left his famous family “very hurt” after swerving his dad David’s 50th birthday amid rumours his wife, Nicola Peltz, is ‘controlling’ the self-confessed “nutter in the kitchen”, who married the billionaire heiress three years ago.

The drama is said to have kicked off when Romeo started dating Kim, with reports saying wannabe chef, Brooklyn, was adamant he would not attend any family functions as long as the model and DJ was there. Indeed, he failed to show up for his dad’s big day on Saturday, but Romeo and Kim did go, with Romeo posting a loved-up snap of the pair at the Beckhams’ palatial pile in the Cotswolds with the caption: “My world”.

According to reports from online outlets in America, Brooklyn has questioned Kim’s intentions and “motives” toward his brother.

However, dispelling rumours that his brother dated Kim, Cruz Beckham recently weighed in on the discussion. In a now deleted post, a fan wrote: “It’s appropriate to date your brother’s ex too? Cool.”

This was written under a picture of Romeo and Kim to which Cruz reportedly responded: “Brooklyn and Kim never dated.”

Brooklyn’s wife, Nicola, is said to be the catalyst behind the Beckham rift, with a family friend telling the Daily Mail, the famous clan were worried the Transformers actress was ‘controlling’ their son.

They said: “Victoria and David would do anything to get their son back, but they are done with Nicola now.

“Nicola basically finds a way to start an argument then she pushes him to not speak to his family and then he doesn’t show for family events. She’s done this before every family event since the wedding. As for David’s birthday, it feels like it’s all part of the same pattern.

“There were different kinds of events so he could have surely found one that would have suited them, so it makes you think there was drama after drama while they were here. He’s a kind boy who clearly doesn’t feel he can stand up to Nicola.”

Their feud has been likened to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s strained relationship with the Royal Family following their fall out in 2020.

Despite David’s A-list party taking place on Saturday in the UK, Brooklyn, and his wife, who were in London, chose to take to social media from their swanky hotel room, quaffing champagne, while the rest of the Beckhams were toasting David.

Speaking to the Mirror about the snub from the couple, who are due to attend the Met Gala in New York tonight,. a source close to the family told the Mirror that Brooklyn’s no-show was a “blow” to his famous dad. David, who is said to be desperate to try and bring his boys back together.

The Mirror has approached representatives for David, Brooklyn and Nicola for comment.
