It was the first commitment ceremony of the series in tonight’s Married At First Sight, with laughs, tears and a lot of confrontations between the participants and experts
It was the first commitment ceremony of the series in tonight’s Married At First Sight, and the experts were left unimpressed with one participant in particular.
Sarah has made it no secret at all that she’s not attracted to her partner Dean, and the experts were left in shock during last night’s first dinner party, as they watched on through the cameras. Charlene Douglas, Paul C Brunson and Mel Schilling were less than impressed with Sarah’s ‘disrespectful’ comments.
Tonight, the couples came face to face with the experts for the first time in an explosive commitment ceremony, and once again Sarah made it abundantly clear that her type was a “bad boy with tattoos,” the complete opposite of Dean.

Charlene then touched on how Dean had ‘modified’ his behaviour for his wife, such as stopping the random outbursts of rapping which gave Sarah the ‘ick’. She then asked Sarah what she was willing to change – before Celebs Go Dating expert Paul stepped in.
“So I’ve got something for you,” he said. “You could begin by stopping the disrespect of your husband. Do you think you were rude while talking about your partner at the dinner party?
“I get the challenge around physical attraction. But where you absolutely lost me is when you went around gossiping about your husband to other people, and you were laughing at it!” he exclaimed.

“This man is talking about how lovely his partner is, and you are on the other side of the room disrespecting him! One iota of disrespect is too much!”
Sarah then apologised to Dean, saying that there was “no excuse” for her to say what she said, as she broke down in tears. Still in tears, she gave Dean a huge, and once again profusely apologised.
Talking to the cameras, Dean said: “Hearing that Sarah has been disrespecting me has caught me off guard, that is probably my biggest red flag. It does hurt me.” However, the two decided to give it another go, as they chose to stay.
Seeing Sarah in tears, Paul explained the experts just wanted the participants to grow, and will call them out on any bad behaviour. He also said that if they ever disagree, they should hold the experts accountable.
It was then time for Keye to take to the sofa, but unfortunately without his partner Davide. His absence wasn’t explained, but he left a heartfelt note for his partner, expressing that he wanted to stay in the experiment.
