Mel B has tied the knot at St Paul’s Cathedral in London on Saturday, in a very lavish ceremony attended by her nearest and dearest. The Spice Girl, 50, pulled out all the stops to ensure her big day was picture-perfect as she wed her fiancé, Rory McPhee.
They said their ‘I dos’ at St Paul’s Cathedral after their three-year engagement. Mel and family friend Rory, 37, have known each other for years, and he has worked as her hairstylist.
Things are thought to have turned romantic between the pair in 2018 and Rory proposed to Mel back in 2022. It isn’t be the pop star’s first time walking down the aisle as she has been married twice before.
However, it hadn’t stopped Mel from planning the ultimate wedding as it has been said Scary Spice and her new husband enjoyed a meal, drinks and dancing after their nuptials at the luxury Shangri-La at The Shard in London.

Around 30 couples marry inside the iconic building but as St Paul’s is not a parish church, there are conditions on who can be married there.
On the official website, St Paul’s Catherdral states: “We are able to marry members of: the Order of the British Empire, and their children, the Order of St Michael and St George, and their children, the Imperial Society of Knights Bachelor, and their children, and the Cathedral Community (staff and volunteers, including Cathedral School, subject to length of service), and their children.”
Mel was given permission to wed in because she was awarded an MBE in 2022 for her services to charitable causes and vulnerable women. Following the ceremony inside St Paul’s, a reception at The Shard was booked for after the ceremony.

Meanwhile, a detachable jacket was decorated with hand-embellished pearl constellations across the high neckline, with the long-sleeved jacket framing her shoulders and adding a regal touch to her gown, in true St Paul’s etiquette.

“I didn’t think anything of it, but I did get this funny feeling in my stomach. Then, as I walked through the door, he got down on one knee.”
