Megghan Markle has opened up about her relationship with Prince Harry in an upcoming appearance on the Drew Barrymore Show, revealing a sweet promise the Duke made to her
Meghan Markle has revealed exactly what keeps the spark alive in her marriage with Prince Harry during a surprise appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, chatted candidly in a preview for Thursday’s episode about their romance, which blossomed back in 2016.
Sharing a touching vow Harry made to her, Meghan revealed: “When I was in college and one of the dads said to me, he’s like, ‘You know, Meghan, when you meet your person one day, I want him to say to you the same thing that I said to my wife when we got married, which is, I vowed to always date my wife.'” Meghan fondly recalled telling Harry, “And I told H that when we started dating, he goes, ‘I vow to always date you’.”

Meghan made a surprise appearance on Drew Barrymore’s show
Meghan, whose show With Love, Meghan, landed on Netflix this week, believes holding on to that magic from their early dating days is the secret ingredient to their connection. She said: “So we have this connection I think because we’re so committed to treating each other the same way you did before you had a ring on it, before it was locked down when you’re just courting each other and you can see all the good and joy in that butterfly period and that’s I think what keeps things really alive.
When discussing how love unfolded for her and Harry, despite life’s unpredictability – and with Drew mentioning that Harry “found” Meghan – the former Suits actress gushed: “I mean, look, life is full of surprises. I did not expect to meet H and for this to be our love story and you know I’m very lucky.
“I am married to the funniest, sweetest, most charming, I mean, he’s all the things that you’re describing. He’s an amazing father. And so, you know, I count my blessings because I have him and also I have a partner who is so supportive of me.”

Harry vowed to “always date” Meghan
Harry and Meghan, who tied the knot in 2018, are proud parents to Archie, five, and Lilibet, three. Speaking about juggling motherhood with her professional commitments, Meghan shared: “I always make it a point when I’m travelling if I can’t do bedtime stories with my kids.”
She added, “So I’ll always pack a really thin book and I’ll videotape myself reading it so whoever’s with them or Papa can say, “Here’s mama reading your bedtime story.
“You find ways to show up for each other and if that’s the one thing that I can convey through the show or through As Ever as a brand, I want people to know you can show up for each other because you know how good it feels when someone shows up for you.”
