Meghan Markle encouraged to return to acting by one ally from her past

Meghan’s former boss from her tenure on the hit legal drama Suits has encouraged the Duchess of Sussex to return to acting and said she has an ‘open invitation’ to appear on the show

One of Meghan Markle’s former employers is seriously keen to see her back on our screens – and he’s made it clear he would be happy to facilitate her getting back into acting.

Long before Meghan became a working royal, she had a successful acting career, becoming a household name on the hit legal drama Suits. The show – which Meghan left in the seventh season – has been given a major revamp, with a new LA spinoff that was released on 23 February in the US.

While a UK air date for the series hasn’t been confirmed, the show’s creator Aaron Kosch has said Meghan has an “open invitation” to make a cameo on Suits LA, if she ever fancied returning to her acting roots.

“So, look, to me, we have thought about whether it be Meghan or any of the other cast members coming on and playing themselves as an actor,” Korsh, 58, told People magazine. “I think for me that’s a little … My brain blows up at the thought of that.

“So I think it blows up the world too much…Obviously, if Meghan wants to come back under any circumstances, Meghan can come back.”

When asked if it was an open invitation, he confirmed she “of course” did, “Always. But I think realistically, it would be too much of an explosion of the fourth wall to do that,” he added.

Meghan has recently returned to another professional stomping ground with the launch of her lifestyle brand As Ever, and her new show for Netflix: With Love, Meghan.

For many years, before marrying Prince Harry, Meghan ran a popular lifestyle blog called The Tig, which covered everything from health and wellness, to travel and food. She shut the website down when things with Harry got more serious, and she was poised to become a full-time working member of the Royal Family, but her new ventures see her return to the lifestyle space – leaving her long-term fans thrilled.

With Love, Meghan will be an eight-part series that will drop on Netflix on 4 March, and see Meghan provide her audience with all her best tips and tricks for hosting and entertaining – along with the help of some of her celebrity pals.

Netflix has embarked on a new venture with Meghan, and will sell her As Ever products in their new brick-and-mortar stores: Netflix House. The stores will include merchandise from many of their hit shows, and will see Meghan’s products – like her jam spreads – hit the shelves for the first time.
