Love Island star Maura Higgins, who is now dating TOWIE and Strictly hunk Pete Wicks, has shared the sordid details of how she got revenge on an ex who cheated on her

Maura Higgins won praise from her fellow I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! campmates back in November when she shared how she once got revenge on an unfaithful ex.

The reality TV star, 33, who shot to fame on Love Island’s fifth series in 2019, revealed why she decided to join the show after abruptly breaking up with her then-boyfriend when she found out he was cheating on her.

Maura’s confession has resurfaced days after she and McFly singer Danny, 38, were snapped sharing a kiss at a BRITS afterparty. A source at the event, which followed the glitzy ceremony at London’s O2 Arena, said: “They looked like they had a brief drunken kiss.”

Maura and Danny, who were in I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! together last year, are said to have grinned as they were photographed leaving the venue alongside former co-star Oti. Danny has been married to former Miss England model Georgia Horsley since 2014 and together they share a seven-year-old son named Cooper.

While neither Maura or Danny have yet commented about the incident, the McFly has been blasted by fans who have flooded the comments section of his Instagram posts. One disappointed fan wrote: “Oh danny you had it all man.” While another typed: “Oh Danny, why?” alongside a broken heart emoji.

Maura and Danny first met in the Australian jungle back in November. At the time, Maura was linked to TOWIE and Strictly’s Pete Wicks, but she shared her previous tale of deception and payback with I’m A Celebrity campmates Jane Moore and Danny.

When Jane asked about Maura’s journey to Love Island, the brunette beauty recalled: “So I had a boyfriend at the time” – and went on to express her shock at discovering damning messages on his phone, making her feel like she “didn’t know him at all”.

She then detailed her act of revenge: “I had a plan and no word of a lie, when he went to the gym the next day I got his toothbrush and I filmed myself scrubbing in the verges [of the toilet], he had a dentist appointment that day.”

Maura left her fellow campmates stunned when she admitted: “I considered taking a dump on it.” At the time, Danny couldn’t resist responding, exclaiming: “You don’t wanna mess with Maura.” The Love Island star then explained how the incident spurred her to enter the villa with determination, stating: “I went in like a bull in a china shop because I was so angry about that whole thing”.

Loose Women star Jane heaped praise on the Irish star, exclaiming: “You are fierce! I love it,” before the pair shared a high-five to celebrate Maura’s epic revenge.
