ITV Loose Women’s Ruth Langsford admits to taking ‘toilet break’ in bush during run

Ruth Langsford caused shock waves on the latest episode of ITV’s Loose Women as she revealed that she was forced to take a toilet break in a bush during an intense run

Loose Women star Ruth Langsford left her co-stars gasping as she made a candid toilet confession on air.

The 64-year-old was back on the panel on Tuesday afternoon (February 11), joined by show regulars Denise Welch, Janet Street-Porter, and Judi Love. But the conversation took a different direction when Ruth discussed a time when she desperately needed to relieve herself.

As the ladies addressed the topic, ‘where do you stand on dog poo?’ Ruth shared her own situation when she was partaking in a 5k run. Sharing that she had no toilet near by, Ruth explained that her choices were limited.

She said: “My my top lip started to sweat and my eyes are darting.” She added: “And I go, ‘I’m never going to make it home’ and I’m sweating and suddenly I just see a bit of a clearing with some bushes and I just literally flew in.

“Leggings down and then leggings up and I was so shocked that I just shot back out of the bushes. I went home shaking the whole time thinking, ‘Please [say] no one saw me.”

Ruth’s hilarious confession caused quite a stir online as one fan took to X and wrote: “So Ruth nearly s*** herself. Top telly I’m glad this lot don’t waste their time debating the war in the Ukraine.”

Another also asked: “Why did Ruth Langsford just tell everyone that she s*** in a bush last week?”

While a third penned: “So if you live near Ruth and accidentally tread in a big pile of c**k in the park, don’t blame someone’s dog…”

Ruth recently spoke for the first time about her divorce from Eamonn Holmes, nearly a year after they announced their separation.

The couple had been together for 27 years and married for 14, with one son, 22-year-old Jack Holmes.

Talking to Woman and Home, she said: “I’m alright. Relationship breakdowns are very difficult – marriage, friendship, whatever it is – but you just deal with it and you have to move on.

“You can either let yourself crumble or you pick yourself up and get on with life. It’s a choice.”

Loose Women airs Mondays-Fridays at 12:30pm on ITV1
