Emmerdale could be lining up some big twists and turns in the coming weeks as spring hits the ITV soap, from killer actions to secrets and DNA bombshells according to new theories

There could be some big moments ahead this month and beyond on Emmerdale.

Some possible spring twists have been ‘rumbled’ by viewers, and it’s set to be a busy time for our villagers if any of the theories end up happening. We’ve got murder twists, revenge, big secrets coming to light and a DNA bombshell.

Viewers have been doing some digging and they think they have worked out what happens next for several of the village residents. Amid a troubling time for some, lies to be unearthed and a secret murder yet to be exposed, more than one character is hiding something.

While spoilers have given away some of what is going on, there’s still so much to find out including who Manpreet Sharma’s blackmailer is, what Joe Tate is up to and whether John Sugden really is a killer. Billy’s secret revealed in Manpreet twist?

Viewers know that Manpreet Sharma is being terrorised by a mystery blackmailer over some images she posted online. Manpreet signed up to a subscription site where she posted racy and empowering content.

But someone found the images and has begun threatening her, with a money demand soon made. With more than one character tipped to be to blame, fans are speculating Billy Fletcher is hiding something.

It emerges that Billy has found Manpreet’s profile, and amid him hitting the rocks with wife Dawn Taylor he and Manpreet have a charged moment. Fans are starting to wonder if Billy is secretly targeting Manpreet and that’s why he was on her online profile.

Joe Tate’s sick plan

Spoilers for next week have revealed we finally find out what is wrong with Joe Tate and what his health issue is. We will be shown the contents of his mystery case, and will also uncover his secret plan with Dr Crowley for once and for all.

Viewers have a few days to wait for the big reveal, but it’s not stopped them speculating they have worked it all out. Fans are convinced Joe is seriously ill and possibly dying, and maybe he needs an organ transplant to survive. So is Joe targeting villagers to find a donor?

Steph’s revenge?

Dramatic scenes this week saw Steph finally find out the horrifying truth about her grandfather Anthony Fox, and her true parentage. Her mother Ruby Miligan told her how she was raped by her father Anthony as a teenager, and that this led to her falling pregnant with Steph.

With Steph now in on the murder cover-up it seems, it’s yet to be seen how she will cope after the earth-shattering discoveries. With upcoming scenes seeing her take action and forming a plan, some fans have wondered if it will be her who lands her father Caleb Miligan in hospital, after he was shown flatlining in a flashforward clip.

‘Killer John’s next target’

John Sugden has gone a little quiet ever since he revealed where he’d buried Anthony’s body in a recent episode, after Ruby killed him. John featured in tense scenes with boyfriend Aaron Dingle feeling betrayed after Aaron and his mother Chas Dingle plotted behind his back.

Amid John fearing Chas doesn’t like him, some fans are still convinced he is the person who killed Nate Robinson whose body was shown at the bottom of a lake last month. Now they’re predicting his next victim after spoilers teased Jai Sharma would get closer to the truth about Anthony’s disappearance – so will John silence him?

Dylan’s ‘real identity’

Viewers are convinced April Windsor’s new pal Dylan is linked to the Dingles. This week he overdosed after being set up by April’s father Marlon Dingle.

Feeling bad, Marlon paid for Dylan to go to rehab and Dylan appeared to exit the show amid calls for him to stay. Around this, fans are sure it will turn out that Dylan is actually a Dingle and could be the secret son of Marlon’s brother Eli Dingle or even his cousin Tina Dingle who made a recent comeback.
