Blue singer Duncan James has reportedly found love with a performer following his breakup with his boyfriend of six years

Singer Duncan James has reportedly found love with a stripper after his split from long-term boyfriend Rodrigo Reis. Over the summer, it was reported that the Blue singer and Rodrigo had separated weeks before the news came out and unfollowed each other on social media after six years of dating.

At the time, a source said Duncan was keeping himself busy by focusing on his band and music. It seems the star has healed from the breakup and moved on with a performer and actor called Alexander Roque, who is currently performing on stage in Forbidden Nights and once appeared on Britain’s Got Talent.

A source claimed: “It’s early days for Duncan and Alex but things are going really well.”

Speaking to The Sun, they added: “Alex went to the Hollyoaks party with him and they looked to be obsessed with each other,” before adding the duo are ‘seeing where things go’.

The Mirror have reached out to Duncan’s reps for comment.

Duncan shared a picture on his Instagram Stories featuring Alexander, drag queen Danny Beard and Ruby O’Donnell.

When he was still dating Rodrigo, Duncan revealed how he met Rodrigo while in Belgium for a gig with Blue. Speaking on ITV ’s Loose Women, he said, “We met a couple of years ago in Belgium.

The two dated for six years

“I was doing a gig with the boys and I met Rodrigo at the after-party. I saw him across the bar and […] he was very much my type. I was like: ‘He’s hot’.”

Duncan has previously admitted that he struggled with coming out as gay while being a boyband star was extremely difficult.

Recalling the intense scrutiny during his time with Blue, he said, “I remember when I was in Blue the first time around, there were all these rumours I was dating my friends Geri, Martine and Tara [Palmer- Tomkinson] and I used to feel relieved.”

He also admitted finally feeling happy after finding himself thanks to his romance with Rodrigo. He said, “After years of feeling guilty about my sexuality, I am happy at last.”

Opening up about his personal life to The Mirror Duncan shared, “It wasn’t until I met Rodrigo that I really felt comfortable about my sexuality.”

He even praised his younger partner’s confidence, adding: “He is younger than me and so unapologetic about himself and his sexuality.”
