Brooklyn Beckham’s ex-girlfriend, Lexi Wood, revealed what the Beckham family is truly like following reports of a big ‘family feud’ – which saw Brooklyn and his socialite wife, Nicola Peltz, snub football icon David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebrations with the rest of the family last week.

Aspiring chef Brooklyn’s noticeable no-show at David’s extravagant 50th birthday festivities earlier this month, combined with persistent family discord, has shone a harsh light on their fractured bond. Fans even pointed out Brooklyn and Nicola’s lack of public support for the Beckham family on social media, while his parents didn’t tag the former photographer in any birthday posts.

It all started when rumours emerged that Brooklyn and brother Romeo, who is dating Kim Turnbull, weren’t on speaking terms as Brooklyn reportedly had a brief relationship with Kim.

Brooklyn reportedly didn’t want to go to the huge bash in London and the Cotswolds at the weekend because of Romeo’s girlfriend, Kim. The wannabe chef is said to have questioned the DJ’s motives with his brother, even though Cruz denied that Brooklyn used to date Kim.

Meanwhile, billionaire heiress Nicola was also accused of ‘controlling’ Brooklyn, with reports suggesting David and Victoria are ‘done’ with their daughter-in-law. Other reports claimed she’s actually the ‘peacekeeper’ of the relationship.

Earlier this week, it was claimed Nicola wanted to distance herself from ‘toxic’ David and Victoria, but Brooklyn’s ex-partner, Lexi Wood, shut down the ‘toxic’ claims with her own opinion of the family.

The Bravo reality star appeared on The Viall Files podcast, where she was asked about dating Brooklyn and Cindy Crawford’s son Presley Gerber.

She said: “It’s so funny because those are the types of families that I’m used to.” Lexi continued: “Like, families that are in the industry, that give each other advice, work with each other where they can, like that are so close, travel together, live together, they do so much together.

“That mindset is that your family has your back, period. I do feel like those families are great.” She was also asked about how it felt dating the son of ‘one of the sexiest men alive’.

Lexi addded: “I feel like he was just always Brooklyn’s dad. I feel like immediately I didn’t think anything of it. And then he just was his dad. They’re a beautiful family. Victoria, she’s the style icon. They’re the coolest family.”

The model continued: “Both families have raised such great families. And just being so close and having those same like morals and values that I have so innately it was just so nice being around them.”

Lexi didn’t want to discuss her relationships in too much detail out of ‘respect’ for her ex’s new partner. She added: “Brooklyn is in a great relationship and I’m so happy for him.”
