Adam Collard hospitalised as Laura Woods makes TV return

Former Love Island star Adam Collard has been hospitalised as his sports presenter fiancee, Laura Woods, makes her TV return following the birth of their first child

Adam Collard has revealed he was hospitalised and required surgery as his fiancee returns to her TV work. The former Love Island star revealed he underwent back surgery, while also praising his partner Laura Woods ahead of her return to TNT Sports.

Adam took to his Instagram Stories to share the surgery update. He uploaded an image of him in a hospital gown on crutches, simply writing: “Back Surgery…

He followed it up by joking he had “completed it mate” as he lay on the hospital bed in his next image. He could be seen lying back while fist pumping from the bed.

And in a third clip he showed himself supporting his wife-to-be as he watched her in action on TNT Sports. She was presenting the Barcelona vs Inter Milan Champions League fixture, marking her return to the screen three months after the pair welcomed their first child together.

He captioned the video: “Now watching my girl from the bed on her first day back,” before adding an emoji with love heart eyes.

He went on: “Proud of her after only 13 weeks getting back into the mix and I can’t tell you how much she’s been my rock throughout this whole injury, process and the last six months in general on all fronts.”

Laura revealed her mum was looking after the pair’s son Leo while Adam was in hospital and she was working. She took to her own Instagram to share a sweet snap of the grandmother and Leo waving her goodbye for her “first day back at work”.

Laura and Adam announced they had welcomed their son back in January.

Sharing a sweet post at the time, the duo shared snaps alongside their newborn son and wrote: “Leo Ernie Collard, our boy,” with a love heart emoji.

They have continued to update their followers on their parenting journey in the months that followed. Laura recently revealed she has found it difficult to wear anything but a tracksuit since giving birth.

However, the presenter appears to be thriving now and she shared photographs ealrlier this month from a friend’s wedding featuring her newborn Leo Ernie Collard and fiance Adam.

She was seen on bridesmaid duty for the day. She wore a floor-length pink dress for the occasion, while Leo sported a suit of his own.

“This bridesmaid dress is from Six Stories btw. Not a gift, I bought it and loved it,” she posted. “Actually wore two of theirs! They’re a lovely business so wanted to give them a shoutout.”

She then confessed: “I find it very difficult to dress since having my little man, unless it’s in a tracksuit. So very grateful I found them.”
