What happened at the Spice Girls reunion that Victoria Beckham couldn’t handle alone and had to rely on Beckham’s assistance? (video)

The girls are back in town! On April 20, Victoria Beckham celebrated her 50th birthday with a Spice Girls reunion—but we’re the ones who received a gift.

In a video shared on her Instagram grid, Victoria, Geri Halliwell-Turner, Emma Bunton, Melanie “Mel C” Chisholm, and Melanie “Mel B” Brown channeled Posh, Ginger, Baby,

Sporty, and Scary Spice for a surprise dance performance of their hit song “Stop”—and yes, they still know the choreography from the iconic 1997 music video.

The women were perfectly in sync as the pop jam played in the background and David Beckham recorded the moment gleefully.

“Best night ever! Happy Birthday to me,” she captioned the clip from her birthday party in London. “I love you all so much! #SpiceUpYourLife.”

The fun didn’t end there. Following the party, David Beckham was photographed carrying his wife out of Oswald’s on his back,

a rare smile on Posh Spice’s face. Clearly, the night was a roaring success.

Victoria Beckham’s birthday clip comes nearly two years after Victoria Beckham serenaded her husband with the same banger during a karaoke night in July 2022. “Karaoke night with the one & only Posh Spice 🖤,” he captioned the video at the time, to which Victoria replied, “Only for you David!! X”

The Spice Girls took the world by storm between 1994 and 2000, churning out hit bops like “Wannabe,” “Spice Up Your Life,” and “2 Become 1” before going on their “indefinite hiatus in the literal Y2K.” Now, it seems we’re inching closer and closer to the Spice Girls reunion project we’ve been hoping for since the band toured in 2019 without Posh.… Now we just have to get them singing and dancing at the same time.

Following Victoria’s birthday party, Scary Spice herself shared the clip to her Instagram Story with the hashtag, “tourdatescomingsoon.” Quick, someone get that guy who makes dresses on TikTok to update Ginger Spice’s Union Jack dress.

But Salt suggests that the drama is only just beginning: ‘I’m delightedthat we now get to build on this fantastic first run and show that things are only just getting started for this very special series’.
