The fashion designer – who is married to David Beckham – was mocked on Saturday for scowling when she arrived at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding.

Viewers watching the coverage joked she looked like she was “dressed for a funeral”.

It prompted a comment from GMB presenter Piers Morgan who said: “Victoria Beckham wearing a stunning scowl.”

The mum-of-four is known for her perfect pout and barely raising a smile.

But when quizzed on her particularly miserable look, Victoria denied being nervous at the royal wedding.

Instead she talked about how she would be a “bit of a lunatic” were it not for her famous family.

She revealed her husband David, 43, and their children Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 15, Cruz, 13, and Harper, six, ensure she stays “real” and doesn’t become a “diva”.

In an interview with the Evening Standard, the star opened up about the important influence of her family on how she handles fame.

She said: “[I’d] probably have been a bit of lunatic [without my family].

“You can’t be a diva and you have to keep it real.

“Back in the Spice Girls days you’d hear about singers who wanted their dressing rooms filled with certain flowers and packed with white kittens … good god, it’s not the Nineties!”

The businesswoman also spoke about her desire to ensure her four children have a good work ethic and know they need to work for their money.

Victoria said: “It’s never been an option not to work hard.

“They see Mummy go to work, they see Daddy go to work, and they go to school and they have to work.

“But at the same time they’re happy children. I believe that children should be children, and have fun.”
