Victoria Beckham, 50, admits she has ‘stopped giving a s***’ about being a celebrity as she passes the showbiz baton to her daughter Harper, 13

Victoria Beckham has admitted she no longer cares about being a celebrity after turning 50 as she passes the baton to her daughter Harper.

The fashion designer discussed how she has nativated being in the public eye since she soared to stardom as part of the Spice Girls in the nineties during a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar magazine.

The mother of four admitted it ‘used to be fun’ getting dressed up and being snapped by the paparazzi in a stylish outfit, however she admitted she no longer cares for it.

Speaking about protecting her privacy, she said: ”You have to go through those times to make you, ultimately, who you are. We’ve kind of figured out how to be quite discreet, which is just how we want to conduct our lives right now.

‘I suppose it used to be fun to go out and be chased by paparazzi walking down Bond Street – and you would dress knowing you were going to get that. I don’t want that any more.’

‘I’ve been doing this too long. I suppose I did when I was growing up but, nowadays, there’s just too much going on; too busy; too many kids to worry about. I woke up at 50, and I gave a s*** less.’

While she may be keen to step away from the spotlight, it has been reported that Victoria and David have plotted a secret multi-million pound career move to launch daughter Harper, 13, into the industry.

Harper has already made it known she wants to follow in the footsteps of her fashion designer mother and hopes to create an ‘amazing brand’ when she’s older.

And it appears her famous parents are edging her one step closer by setting up a business to funnel any future earnings for the rising star.

Discussing Harper’s upcoming appearance in her new Netflix documentary, she said: ‘It’s slightly more targeted on the entrepreneur, the designer of the brand. It’s not going to be as personal. I realise that I am a bit of a travelling circus, even when I’m at work, but this is very fashion-focused.

‘And, obviously, there’ll be elements of the kids, you know – Harper’s going to come in on Monday and do her fitting for the show.

‘So they’ll film that. But it’s really shining a light on the business, especially for America. That’s the main reason for doing this.’

According to The Sun, Victoria has incorporated a business called H7B Limited, which matches the teenager’s full name, Harper Seven Beckham.

H7B also has the former Spice Girl and a solicitor listed as a director.

The clever move could be prepping Harper for her successful career ahead, with a number of brands already reaching out to collaborate.

A source told the publication: ‘So far, Harper has been kept quite private. But there is huge demand from brands who see her as someone lots of other teens would look up to.

‘Posh and Becks can see her potential and she wants to try some things out in the public eye. The wheels are in motion to slowly book some jobs for her.’

The Sun also claimed that a source close to the Beckhams said: ‘Right now, this is purely an administrative thing. David and Victoria have no immediate plans for anything commercial.

‘It’s simply an exciting and fun option for Harper further down the line.’ MailOnline have contact David and Victoria’s representatives for a comment.

Although Harper heavily features on her famous family’s social media, she currently doesn’t have her own account.

But to ease her into the industry, Victoria has previously posted videos of Harper filming makeup tutorials with her mother’s brand.

At Victoria’s launch party for her latest perfume Reverie in New York, Harper headed to the sensory immersion exhibit to write down their dreams and put them on a wall.

To play on the product’s name Reverie – meaning to daydream – Harper wrote on two pieces of card she hoped she would ‘create an amazing brand when I’m older’.

The teenager also wished for ‘everyone to happy in life’.

Delighted at Harper dreams of achieving her very own brand, Victoria wrote: ‘Harper Seven following in mummy’s footsteps and putting her hopes and dreams out there’.

Her passion for fashion was cemented from an early age as she accompanied Victoria on shoots and mingling amongst a host of top designers.

Over the summer, Victoria revealed that Harper created a PowerPoint presentation to try and convince her to let her have a perm.

In an interview with Grazia, she shared how Harper is wanting to start and try some beauty treatments.

She told how she created the presentation on the computer and showed it to her and David in the hopes of letting her take a trip to the hairdressers.

Harper has long straight blonde hair and a perm uses chemicals to make naturally straight hair curly.

However despite Harper going to the effort of making the PowerPoint – Victoria admitted that her response to the request was ‘absolutely not’.

Victoria explained her negative response was born from a bad personal experience of having a perm when she was a teenager.

Last month, Harper’s older brother Romeo, 22, made his Paris Fashion Week catwalk debut after he walked the Balenciaga show as he cemented his foray into fashion.

It was revealed that Romeo had reportedly left his Premier League football club, despite being offered a new contract by Brentford FC in June, to pursue a fashion career.

Fully committing to fashion, Romeo recently signed with top Paris fashion agency Safe Management.

A promising football prospect in his youth, Romeo drifted away from the game after being released by Arsenal in 2015 and turned his attention towards a career in tennis.

However, Romeo announced he intended on a return to football in 2020 before joining dad David’s MLS franchise Inter Miami the following year.

Romeo’s first big break in the fashion world came when he was just 10-years-old as he took his first modelling assignment for Burberry.

Following in his mother’s footsteps from a young age, Romeo was undaunted on set as was described ‘amazing, incredible and a little joy’ who kept everyone entertained as he was ‘bouncing around’.

Meanwhile, David and Victoria’s eldest son and budding chef Brooklyn, 25, recently announced the launch of his new condiment brand Cloud23, which is now available exclusively at Whole Foods shops in the UK.

Cloud 23 is named after the No.23 jersey his father David Beckham wore at Real Madrid and LA Galaxy.

‘I did my research and I just felt like there was this hole in the market with luxury condiments, especially for a really good price,’ he told Delish magazine, explaining why he was drawn to launching a range of hot sauces.

“NO PARENT SHOULD EVER HAVE TO LIVE THIS.”  Jesy Nelson brought Westminster to a standstill — and left Health Secretary Wes Streeting visibly fighting back tears — as she broke down while begging for urgent change to SMA Type 1 testing. Her voice cracked. Her hands trembled. And then the room fell silent as Jesy sobbed: “I look at my children and think… why wasn’t this caught sooner?” Witnesses say even hardened officials struggled to keep composure as she spoke of fear-filled nights, unanswered questions, and the unbearable weight of watching parents learn devastating news too late. Wes Streeting was seen blinking back tears as Jesy pleaded: “Early testing saves lives. It saves families. No parent should ever, ever have to go through this pain.” The moment cut far deeper than politics — raw, unfiltered grief colliding with power, in a confrontation Britain wasn’t ready for. Support flooded in within minutes, with parents calling her words “heart-shattering” and campaigners saying this could be the speech that finally forces change. One thing is clear: this wasn’t a celebrity appearance. It was a mother’s cry — and it left scars on everyone who heard it. SS
