Tyson Fury says he ‘boxed Oleksandr Usyk’s head right off’ and believes he won their undisputed clash last month.

Tyson Fury dismantles Oleksandr Usyk's victory over him after 'watching the fight back lots' in extraordinary interview

Fury surrendered the WBC world heavyweight title as he suffered the first defeat of his pro career to Usyk.

He lost a split decision to the Ukrainian, who was crowned the undisputed heavyweight champion in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Over a month on from the showdown, Fury reckons he won and claimed the bout was ‘a lot easier’ than he thought.

The previously-undefeated Brit also revealed his problem in the ring with Usyk as he compared his rival to a ‘local amateur’.

Speaking on Furocity Energy’s YouTube channel, he said: “I’ve watched the fight back lots and still got the same answer – I thought I won. Usyk knows he didn’t beat me… I thought I boxed the head right off him for most of the rounds.

“He busted my nose in round eight, got the 10-8 in round nine and I gave him round ten. But other than that, I didn’t give him any other rounds… It was actually a lot easier than I thought it’d be. People said he’s hard to hit, I was lighting him up with four-punch combinations and laughing at him.”

Fury added: “My problem was I probably had too much fun. It was too easy. It was like I was in there with a local amateur boxer. I was enjoying it too much, messing around and paid the ultimate price in round nine.”

The self-proclaimed ‘Gypsy King’ is set to run it back with Usyk, with their rematch scheduled to take place on December 21.

The WBA (super), WBO and WBC world titles will be on the line for their Middle East fight.

But the IBF belt may not be up for grabs as the organisation are set to strip Usyk of their title.
