So when it comes to Victoria Beckham, no one quite knows whose side she’s on when it comes to Wales versus Sussex. Beckham was seemingly best buddies with Meghan Markle, and even attended her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018. However, after an alleged falling out, they’re borderline enemies at this point, per insiders. And now, it seems Victoria, who has been pals with Kate Middleton for a decade, it focusing on her friendship with her even more.

It seems that Beckham is trying to help out Kate amid her preventative chemotherapy and slow return to the public eye.

“Victoria has really been concerned about Kate, and she and David have sent her lots of messages of support. But Vic wants to do something more and would like to send Kate a pamper package with some of her favourite bits from her own range, as well as other treats that she knows Kate will like,” a close source said to Heat World UK. “There are a lot of rules around sending gifts to royals, so Vic is keen to make sure it’s done as friends and not from her business. But she just wants to help keep her spirits up.”

They added, “Although they are quite different, Victoria can relate to a lot of the pressure and scrutiny Kate is under. She’s on a mission to really cement their friendship, especially as David is getting closer to the royals. Once Kate has fully recovered, Vic would love to work with her, as well as help style her and see her use her products. It would be the ultimate seal of approval.”

Now, this can be construed as both a sweet gesture to a longtime friend, and an alleged jab to Meghan.

For those who don’t know, according to The House of Beckham: Money, S— and Power author Tom Bower, the initial strain between Meghan and Victoria began over a request Meghan made for some free items from Beckham’s fashion line. Markle allegedly wanted “free handbags from Victoria Beckham before snubbing her,” per The Independent. Apparently, Beckham did do it all for Meghan’s appearance at the Royal Family’s traditional Christmas Day parade in Sandringham; which led to very minimal sales on Beckham’s end.

Their friendship was alleged “purely transactional,” and earlier this summer, insiders told Closer Online that both the Beckhams have disapproved of how Meghan and Harry have acted in recent years.

“Meghan’s been shocked by how Vic seems to have given her the cold shoulder – even reaching out herself when her team received no response when requesting a dress,” a source said. “Meghan has been told that both Victoria and David may have disapproved of how she and Harry have behaved over the last few months.”

Now, what about Victoria and Kate? Well, back in 2013, Express revealed that the two were quickly becoming gal pals, bonding over motherhood, love, and fashion. “The four of them will cook together when William and Kate visit the new house,” a source alleged. “David loves making sushi and William’s keen to learn.”

And now, it seems Victoria wants to take advantage of the well-known “Kate Middleton Effect,” which refers to how pieces that Kate wears sell out very quickly.
