The marriage between Polly Sellmann and Adam Valentine has been plagued by intimacy issues from the start, on Married At First Sight.
And while viewers have seen Adam trying to connect with the reality TV star on a deeper level, despite regularly announcing that he’s struggling to find a spark, it seems there was one issue that would result in him leaving the show. And that was Polly farting in his presence.
The 28 year old hopeful, who has done her best to try and convince Adam to try and connect with her ,was told in under no uncertain terms that she was not allowed to pass wind in front of him, as he would “leave ” her. Taking to Instagram to speak to her new following, Polly spoke of Adam’s rules that were made behind closed doors and away from the camera.
In a story on Instagram, she said it was normal to break wind but that was one of Adam’s ground rules. She responded to a question that asked her about issues in her relationship while filming the show and said: “But I wasn’t allowed to fart because he said it was disgusting and he’d leave.”
MAFS star Polly reveals Adam did not want her to fart in front of him while living together
The couple had been seen hitting a number of road blocks since joining each other at the altar, as Adam made it clear she was not the type of woman he usually went for. In one episode at their wedding, Adam told Polly’s best friend: “10 out of 10 for me would be petite, brunette, dark features, tan. She’s not what I expected.”
And their relationship continued to decline as Adam told the experts that he refused to sleep with her again, in order to not give her the wrong impression. However, in last night’s show, Adam and Polly became intimate again, leaving the read haired beauty ecstatic.
Polly’s admission of Adam’s farting rule came before he took to his social media platform to explain his side of the story. He asked his followers: “Okay this needs to be settled. Is it normal for a woman to fart in front of their partners or male friends? As I’ve never heard a woman fart until MAFS.”
And the response, 57 per cent of people voted “yes” and nine per cent voted “no that’s gross. ” Thirty five per cent said “not yet, maybe a year down the line.” It wasn’t that long ago Polly was in the centre of controversy after she accused fellow co-star Charlie of being a bully in her relationship with Eve.
At the time, before her encounter with Charlie, Eve had confessed details of her marriage to Polly and Holly. But the red haired star took it upon herself to question Charlie and accuse her of alleged toxic behaviour. During one of the show’s dinner parties, Polly is seen asking Charlie about her relationship, to then accuse her of being a bully. And after hearing the word “bully”, Charlie was left inconsolable. She was then escorted out of the room and taken elsewhere to compose herself.
