David Beckham never misses an opportunity to poke fun at his wife’s supposed “working class” roots.
The former footballer kicked off the new year alongside Victoria Beckham with a special meal at The Ritz.
The couple was joined by her parents, Jackie and Anthony Adams, as they enjoyed a lavish lunch at the swanky London haunt.
“Just a nice casual New Year’s Eve lunch at The Ritz ❤️ @victoriabeckham,” David, 48, captioned an Instagram photo of the group Sunday.
“Very working class 😂 My mother & father in law left in there [sic] Roll’s 🤎,” he cheekily added, referencing a now-viral scene from Netflix’s “Beckham” documentary.
In the scene, the former Spice Girl, 49, tried to prove that she didn’t come from a wealthy background and that both she and David had “parents who work really hard.”
“We’re very working, working class,” she said in the documentary before the legendary athlete poked his head through a doorway and told her to “be honest.”
“What car did your dad drive you to school in?” he asked the fashion designer.
Victoria attempted to avoid the question, saying, “it’s not a simple answer,” before finally giving in.
“OK, in the ’80s, my dad had a Rolls-Royce,” Victoria eventually conceeded.
The mother of four also poked fun at the hilarious scene by cashing in on the joke: she debuted a $150 slogan T-shirt, which read “My Dad Had a Rolls-Royce.”
Earlier in the week, Victoria shared a silly moment with her eldest son Brooklyn Beckham’s wife, Nicola Peltz, while celebrating Christmas together.
Peltz posted a TikTok video of her festive morning with her in-laws, which included a few clips of her goofing around with her mother-in-law.
Back in August 2022, Page Six exclusively reported that the two women had been butting heads in the lead up to Nicola and Brooklyn’s lavish wedding that April.
“They can’t stand each other and don’t talk,” a source close to the family told us at the time.
“The buildup to the wedding was horrendous,” they added.
However, the blond beauty later denied there was any bad blood between the pair, and Brooklyn also shut down the chatter.
