The mystery Holly on EastEnders may have finally been identified, with a theory about her identity shared after a major clue.
As Wednesday’s episode dropped on BBC iPlayer in the morning before TX and a teaser clip was shared on the BBC soap’s X account, fans were convinced they worked out who Holly was. We know she is linked to returning legend David Wicks, but her true identity has yet to be confirmed.
That said, Holly sent David a text message on his phone after he ignored her calls this week. The message was her asking if he was “still coming up tonight”, proving they knew each other and hinting it was someone he saw often.
Bianca Jackson asked her dad if he was seeing anyone having spotted Holly’s text message earlier in the day. As she asked if Holly was his partner and wanted to know her identity, David avoided the question.
Instead, he repeated numerous times that there was not a woman in his life currently. He ruled out Holly as a partner, unless of course he was lying, but he declined to explain who she was and diverted the chat onto a new topic.

So with her calling him and messaging him wondering where he is but clearly knowing he’s ‘away’, it could well be a family member or a partner. Viewers think they’ve worked out her exact identity though, taking to X with their theories.
Viewers think Holly is not an ex or a current partner of David but perhaps a secret daughter. If not his daughter, fans are wondering if Holly is the daughter of David’s son Joe Wicks, making her David’s granddaughter – unless of course Holly is Joe’s partner.
Sharing their thoughts, fans were convinced Bianca had a secret sister or niece and that she or maybe even Joe will head to Walford. One fan commented: “So I’m guessing this ‘Holly’ is David’s daughter?”
Another posted: “She’s connected to his son Joe like she’s Joe’s daughter or something.” A third fan wrote: “I’ve heard Holly is Joe Wicks daughter,” as another agreed: “Gotta have something to do with Joe.”
The comments kept on coming to, as one viewer said: “Holly is either David’s granddaughter or…?” while a further theory read: “I’m going with his granddaughter by Joe wicks or his daughter in law and we may get a Paul Nichols feature at some point! One can only hope!”
