David Beckham’s son Romeo wowed football fans in Bray on Tuesday night as he travelled to the Wicklow county with Brentford for a match.
The 21-year-old son of Manchester United legend David and Spicer Girl Victoria, joined the Premier League’s B-team on a permanent transfer from Inter Miami last summer following a successful loan spell.
While the Carlisle Grounds has welcomed famous faces in the past, including former Ireland captain Roy Keane, Romeo had everyone’s cameras out on Tuesday night.
Currently sitting third in the League of Ireland First Division, Bray Wanderers struggled on the night as the Brentford side used to develop the next generation of Premier League talent came out 3-0 winners.
Those who were at the match took to social media to have their say on the big occasion, commending Romeo for taking the time to meet fans.
One person said: ‘In fairness Romeo Beckham seems pretty sound taking the time to sign autographs.’
Another added: ‘It was a great night at the Carlisle Grounds tonight for the Bray V. Brentford game. The big attraction was David and Victoria Beckham’s son Romeo who made an appearance for the 2nd half.’
The match also served as a homecoming for former Bray player Conor McManus, who made the move to Brentford in January last year.
Romeo has been focusing on his football in recent months after announcing his split from his fashion designer girlfriend Mia Regan after five years together.
‘Mooch and I have parted ways after 5 years of love. We still have a lot of respect for each other, and still hold a strong friendship and always will,’ he said in February.
Mia added: ‘Love takes different forms & paths as you mature. We aren’t tougher romantically but we do share lots & lots of love for one another… after 5 years we friendzoned each other hehe,’
