Raul Sanllehi, former CEO of Arsenal and Barcelona, has officially joined Inter Miami after being invited by the club’s co-owners David Beckham and the Mas brothers, Jorge and Jose.

Raul Sanllehi was appointed as President of Inter Miami’s Football Operations,

working alongside coach Tata Martino and famous players such as Messi, Busquets, Jordi Alba and Luis Suarez.

Meanwhile, the other co-president, Xavier Asensi, is the President of Business Operations.

“The vision that the owners of Inter Miami, the Mas brothers, Jorge and Jose, and David Beckham, have really convinced me.

They want to turn this club into a global football power,” Raul Sanllehi said on the day of his debut.

“I would say, why not?”, Raul Sanllehi replied when asked why he chose to move to MLS (USA). “I don’t see any reason not to do this great project.

I think this project will be great for many reasons, but basically, this is a project, so it is the result of thinking big,” said Raul Sanllehi.

According to The Athletic (UK): “Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas wants to change the club’s management structure to develop to a new level. Therefore, he has chosen an experienced person with whom he has worked before, Mr. Raul Sanllehi, who is also the CEO of Real Zaragoza in Spain, a team also owned by Jorge Mas.

In the new management structure, David Beckham will still hold the role of club president and co-owner like the Mas brothers, Jorge and Jose, they will receive direct suggestions from the two co-presidents of football and business activities, to make the final decisions related to the development of the club”.

Meanwhile, Mr. Jorge Mas revealed: “Inter Miami will have a revenue of more than 200 million USD in 2024. The club has tripled its profits since Messi arrived. Our new stadium will be completed by the end of 2025. Our idea now is for Messi to play his final season at the new stadium. But we always want him to stay with Inter Miami as long as possible. After Copa America, we will have new proposals for Messi.”
