Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham attended the team’s training session before the match against St. Louis and had a chat with team captain Lionel Messi.

Beckham shared his day at Inter Miami on Instagram with the caption: “I love starting the day by watching the team train and chatting about football with our captain.”

He also showed off his excellent football skills despite retiring 11 years ago.

There is a positive vibe throughout Inter Miami and the signing of Lionel Messi is paying off.

After an impressive performance in the second half of last season, Messi continued to show his top form in the new season,

helping Inter Miami rise to the top of the Eastern Conference standings in MLS.

However, in their most recent match against Atlanta United, Inter Miami could not maintain their unbeaten streak when they lost 1-3 at home to Atlanta United, despite their biggest star Lionel Messi scoring.

Messi made his return from injury with a classy goal in the 62nd minute, reducing the deficit to 1-2. Receiving a pass from Sergio Busquets, he pushed the ball forward and fired a low shot into the far corner, giving Atlanta United goalkeeper Joshua Cohen no chance of saving.

The MLS season will continue while European football is on hiatus. Inter Miami host St. Louis this weekend before visiting Philadelphia Union two weeks later. Both Messi and Luis Suarez are expected to feature in the match. This will be M10’s final game for the Florida club, before he returns home to join up with the Argentina national team for the Copa America.
