David Beckham has to do something special at Inter Miami because of the FIFA virus Days, what happened?

MLS is a rare tournament in the world that still plays during the FIFA Days schedule.

Causing David Beckham ‘s team and many other clubs in the US to suffer due to a serious shortage of players.

In particular, Inter Miami is currently missing 9 first team players due to injury and returning to the team.

According to coach Tata Martino of Inter Miami: “This is very inadequate. The MLS tournament is still playing, while most other tournaments have stopped.

We and many other clubs also have the obligation to release players to the team.”

The New York Red Bulls team, the opponent we were about to meet (at 1:00 a.m. on March 24), sent a request to postpone the match and we agreed.

However, this request was rejected by the American Football Federation.

We have to call up 4 young players from the academy to join the first team and are waiting for permission for one more case.”

Inter Miami is currently missing 9 players including Messi, Freire, Campana (injured), Callender, Diego Gomez, Federico Redondo, David Ruiz, Shanyder Borgelin and Israel Boatwright (returning to the teams). The same is true for the New York Red Bulls, as many players have to return to the US team to compete in the CONCACAF Nations League on this occasion.

“In the future, the MLS tournament needs to organize a match schedule consistent with the FIFA Days schedule. It is difficult to understand, because during FIFA Days, clubs do not have the right to keep troops, while still having to compete. This will certainly reduces the quality of the tournament,” coach Tata Martino expressed.

“In the near future, when the 2024 Copa America takes place and the US team also participates as the home team, but the 2024 MLS season will not stop. They will only consider stopping when America hosts the 2026 World Cup along with Mexico and Canada,” AS (Spain) newspaper said.

The reason why MLS cannot stop playing during FIFA Days or the upcoming Copa America 2024, was explained by Mr. Don Garber – MLS executive commissioner: “If it stopped, it would be a financial disaster. for the tournament and sponsors. We are still considering initiatives to change the match schedule accordingly. But until now, all possibilities are still unclear.

American football’s schedule, including MLS and Leagues Cup, is very dense. In particular, the Leagues Cup tournament takes place in 1 month (from July 26 to August 25), while the MLS tournament after the group stage with a frequency of 3 days/match takes place continuously from near the end of February to mid-October in the regions. East and West, the top teams will be selected to enter the play-off round to compete for the championship (from late October to early December).

With quite unique characteristics, American football becomes an exception compared to the rest of world football. It is known that FIFA does not force any tournament to pause during the international match schedule, but they do force clubs to release their players for teams to compete in international matches. including friendly matches.
