Brooklyn Beckham played himself for laughs on Tuesday while featuring in a new advertisement for an online travel agency.
The eldest of David and Victoria Beckham‘s four children proved he’s a good sport by making light of his mixed fortunes as a photographer and social media cook.
Appearing in a light-hearted campaign for booking.com, Brooklyn, 25, plays an over-confident but ultimately dim-witted version of himself while visiting New York – the city of his conception.
Despite labelling himself an ‘amazing chef, an amazing photographer’ and a ‘genius,’ Brooklyn still manages to bemuse anyone who comes into contact with him – among them a street artist who looks bewildered after being asked if graffiti is ‘Italian.’
Worse soon follows, with the hapless influencer describing bagels as ‘the English muffin of America’ before making a mess of his attempt to make one from scratch during a bagel-making class.

Having booked his own flight to New York, Brooklyn bullishly describes himself as a ‘professional traveller’ after checking into Manhattan’s five-star Dominick Hotel.
But he undermines himself after confusing what appears to be Manhattan Bridge with nearby Brooklyn Bridge, before congratulating himself for getting a complimentary breakfast.
The new campaign appeared to be a hit after appearing on his Instagram grid late on Tuesday evening, with fans crediting Brooklyn for sending himself up.
‘Bizarrely great advertising and marketing and the English sense of humour and wittiness… fair play,’ wrote one.
While a second added: ‘Fantastic move from Brooklyn. Own the ‘negativity’ and transform it into your power.’
A third wrote: ‘This was far better than it needed to be.’
Elsewhere a fourth commented: ‘I like the fact he can laugh at himself. This is brilliant.’
Another added: ‘He’s like his dad… that was so funny.’
