“I’ve always wanted to be a young dad,” the star tells PEOPLE

Brooklyn Peltz Beckham wants to be a globe-trotting dad!

In an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE about his new travel guide for Trainline, the photographer and model, 25, opens up about how he would love to pass down his love of traveling to his future children.

“I’ve always wanted to be a young dad, and I always want to be able to take my kids wherever I go,” Brooklyn says.

“So it’s definitely something I want to pass down to my kids,” he adds of his love for seeing the world.

Brooklyn Peltz-Beckham Reveals He Will ‘Hopefully’ Have Kids Soon — and They’ll Have Two Surnames

Brooklyn has been open in recent years about his desire to soon start a family with his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, whom he wed two years ago.

Earlier this week, in an interview with InStyle, the son of David and Victoria Beckham reiterated that he wants to be “a young dad,” adding, “But, obviously, [it’s] up to my wife. My wife really wants kids as well. So soon, hopefully.”

Brooklyn also explained that he and Nicola, 29, combined their last names when they got married with the thought of their future children in mind.

“I wanted to honor my wife’s last name as well, and we thought about it for so long and we were just like, ‘When we have kids, we would love to have little Peltz-Beckhams running about,’ ” he recalled. “I just thought it was a cute idea to have both, two last names.”

Nicola Peltz Beckham Shares Favorite Wedding Memory After 2 Years of Marriage with Husband Brooklyn (Exclusive)

Brooklyn and Nicola began dating in October 2019. They made their relationship official in January 2020 with a post on Nicola’s Instagram, and in July of that year, they announced their engagement.

The couple then married in a ceremony at the actress’ family’s estate in Palm Beach, Fla., on April 9, 2022.

Nicola told PEOPLE earlier this year, “I can’t believe we’ve been married two years.” She added of Brooklyn, “He really is my best friend. And I know that sounds silly, but that’s how I feel.”

“Everyone is always like, ‘Oh, what does being married feel like?’ This is genuinely how I feel. I feel like when you’re on a sleepover or a play date, and it’s like, ‘Oh, can they sleep over again?’ And you just are on a never-ending sleepover play date. That’s how we feel,” she explained.
