Brooklyn Beckham isn’t letting online mockery of his cooking skills get him down as he prepares to open a restaurant in London.

The 24-year-old eldest son of David Beckham and Spice Girls star Victoria Beckham has a passion for cooking and regularly shows off his home-cooked meals online.

Brooklyn, who is married to billionaire heiress Nicola Peltz, has faced trolling about everything from toasting a sandwich with a blowtorch to accidentally showing off a hole in his trousers during his recipe videos.

But he’s said before that he’s not going to let people ‘saying a little bit of rubbish about me’ put him off cooking – and now people in London can try some of Brooklyn’s controversial recipes for themselves.

The pop up restaurant will offer some of Brooklyn’s favourite recipes, from chicken Tikka Masala to buffalo cauliflower with his own secret sauce, and his ‘famous’ English Breakfast Sandwich, a recipe he got from his grandmother Peggy.

It will be delivery only, exclusively through Uber Eats, on January 25 for Uber One users and January 26 for standard users, with prices starting from £10 for what’s described as his ‘favourite comfort food from around the world.’

Brooklyn reacted to the announcement by remembering his grandmother showing him how to cook at just five years old, with her English Breakfast sandwich, and said it had ‘been my favourite ever since.’

‘I’ve always been into trying different foods, cuisines, and cultures, but that was one of my earliest memories of loving cooking.

‘Spending time in the kitchen is definitely something me and my dad bond over… even though I think I make my English Breakfast sandwich better, he does make a pretty good one.’

In an interview with Insider in 2023, Brooklyn addressed the mocking comments on his recipe videos, and admitted he was ‘used to the hate.’

‘It doesn’t really bother me,’ Brooklyn insisted.

‘Cooking makes me happy. I have more important things to worry about than people saying a little bit of rubbish about me.’

‘I’m doing my thing and working my bum off,’ he said. ‘So they can keep writing what they want, but it’s not going to bother me — I’m just going to keep doing my thing.’
