Bond Girl Britt Ekland, 82, stuns Good Morning Britain fans with ageless appearance as she wades into 007 gender row on ITV show

Britt Ekland stunned Good Morning Britain fans with her ageless appearance on Friday.

The Bond Girl, 82, joined hosts Rob Rinder and Kate Garraway to discuss the next Bond on the breakfast show.

And the actress looked nothing short of gorgeous in a mustard yellow blouse with sequined embellishments and a pair of jeans.

The star wore her blonde locks loose and rocked dramatic eye make-up.

Britt looked every inch the glamour puss as she discussed the future 007 but divided viewers with her opinion on the character.

When Rob asked whether the Swedish actress thought the iconic spy could be played by a woman, Britt was shocked.

Rob asked: ‘Could Bond be a woman?’.

Britt shut the presenter down immediately, quipping: ‘No!

‘Bond was written as a man, and it has to be a man and it has to be an English man.’

And her thoughts on the Bond gender row divided viewers with something noticing Rob’s shocked face while others supported her opinion.

One fan too to X and wrote: ‘Britt E said Bond has to be an English man. I assume she really means British (Eh?…Mr Connery?)

Another said: ‘Robert Rinder trying to get Britt Ekland to say the new James Bond should be a woman for her to shut him down with ‘The part was written for a man’ wasn’t on his agenda’.

A third commented: ‘Well done Britt. ‘Bond’ should be played by a British Man, because that’s how he is written in the books.’

But the star seemed to leave Rob a bit shocked when she said: 'Bond was written as a man, and it has to be a man and it has to be an English man.'

A look at some of Aaron Taylor-Johnson movies during acting career

After the awkward exchange, which left presenter Rob red-faced, the discussion turned to the identity of the new James Bond.

Rob said: ‘Aaron Taylor Johnson is one of the people whose name is in the frame, there are a lot of them but what would you make of him?’

Britt suggested that Aaron would be an ‘interesting’ choice, saying: ‘He would look very nice in those swimming trunks. He is a great actor, and very interesting.’

The comments come after it was revealed that Aaron ‘has been formally offered the opportunity to play James Bond back in March.

The actor, 33, is yet to officially accept the role, but should he do so he will become only the seventh actor to play the iconic British secret agent since the franchise launched in 1962.

A source told The Sun: ‘Bond is Aaron’s job, should he wish to accept it. The formal offer is on the table and they are waiting to hear back.

Responding to the rumours that he could step into Bond’s shoes at the time, Aaron played coy, telling Numero: ‘I find it charming and wonderful that people see me in that role. I take it as a great compliment.’
