In an interview with Elle magazine (Spain), British fashion designer Victoria Beckham (50 years old) revealed the secret of her marriage.

Victoria has maintained a joyful and happy marriage with former football star David Beckham (48 years old) for the past 25 years.

First of all, for Victoria, David is a source of inspiration for her. After that, she always tries to bring laughter into family life. Victoria said: “My husband is my inspiration.

We always try to bring joy, humor, chatting, activities like dancing, dancing, drinking together… into our common life.

In particular, we always laugh and tease each other. That is my secret to a happy marriage. I believe in the power of laughter, friendship and family.

At this point, my family has probably become a kind of model. People like to see long-lasting relationships.”

In a post congratulating his wife on her 50th birthday, former football star David Beckham wrote: “Happy birthday to my beautiful wife. When you reach this milestone, look back at your journey and be proud of what you have achieved and built.

You are a famous singer, a successful businesswoman, and the wife of a famous football star. But your greatest achievement is your children. You have led them, loved them and taught them. They love you more than words can express. The whole family loves you very much.”

In fact, in her life, Victoria was once engaged to an electrician named Mark Wood. This man used to work for an electrical equipment supply company owned by Victoria’s father. For some reason, there was a period when this man lived in Victoria’s family home. There was a relationship between Victoria and the electrical engineer.

In 1994, Mark Wood proposed to Victoria, who was 20 years old at the time, and she accepted. But two years later, they broke up. Looking back, Victoria briefly shared: “For some reasons, we got engaged. He was an electrical engineer. I think it was the fact that he lived in our family home that made me decide to do that.”

After her relationship with Mark Wood, Victoria devoted herself to singing with the Spice Girls. Fate brought her to her future husband – football star David Beckham.

The first time David Beckham knew Victoria was when he saw her wearing a sexy, tight-fitting black “catsuit” in the Spice Girls’ MV Say You’ll Be There. At that moment, David felt he loved Victoria, even though they had never met.

David once revealed: “Once, when I was sitting with Gary Neville (David’s former teammate at Manchester United), the Spice Girls music video appeared on TV, I turned to Gary and said: “I like that singer in the tight black catsuit”.

The first time David and Victoria met in person was after a football match in 1997, when David was 22 years old, Victoria was 23 years old. The midfielder of Manchester United had secretly liked Victoria before, he decided to approach and conquer her.

During that meeting, David mustered up the courage to approach and introduce himself to Victoria. Recalling the correlation between his and Victoria’s careers at that time, David said: “At that time, Victoria was very famous, and I had just started building my career at Manchester United.

During our first conversation, we sat together for about an hour. In fact, Victoria was a bit drunk during that meeting. Later, she said she didn’t remember much about our first meeting. When she left, she wrote her phone number on a train ticket and gave it to me. I still have that ticket to this day.”

When they got together, David and Victoria Beckham quickly became a power couple in international showbiz. After 2 years of dating, the couple decided to get married in 1999. At the time of the wedding, they already had their first child together.

Looking back on her long-lasting marriage with David Beckham, Victoria is very proud: “People used to say that our marriage would not last. From the moment we got married, people always said that, and now, we are still together.”
