A Victoria Beckham docuseries is coming to Netflix — what to know

Victoria Beckham will soon be the star of her own Netflix docuseries.

The streaming service announced the news Aug. 21, less than a year after the fashion designer and former Spice Girl’s husband, soccer legend David Beckham, was featured in the Netflix limited series “Beckham.”

Though “Beckham” was focused on her husband, Victoria Beckham stole nearly every scene she was in, including one memorable scene that showed David Beckham playfully teasing his wife after hearing her say she grew up “working class.”

Netflix has announced it’s filming a new docuseries about Victoria Beckham.
“Be honest. … What car did your dad drive you to school in?” David Beckham asks.

Eventually, Victoria Beckham reveals that her father drove a Rolls-Royce when she was a child.

Now, the former “Posh Spice” gets to tell her own story in her own Netflix series, which will focus on the successful fashion and beauty business she built following her Spice Girls success.

What will the series be about?

Netflix announced Aug. 21 that it’s set to begin production on a docuseries starring Victoria Beckham.

The series will focus on the successful beauty and fashion business the “Wannabe” singer built after scoring global superstardom in the 1990s with the Spice Girls.

“Through an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Victoria’s business, access to Victoria, her family, those closest to her and her fashion journey and including never-before-seen archive, the series will tell the story of Victoria’s reinvention as a Creative Director of her own brand,” Netflix said.

Who is producing the series?

The series’ executive producers include Emmy nominee Nicola Howson, who also produced “Beckham,” and BAFTA nominee Julia Nottingham, whose credits include “Pamela: A Love Story” and “The Greatest Night in Pop.”

David Beckham’s production company, Studio 99, which also produced “Beckham,” will produce the series with Dorothy St Pictures.

Where and when can fans watch it?

Like “Beckham,” Victoria Beckham’s upcoming series will also stream on Netflix. As of now, the series has no premiere date.
