CHRISTIAN Horner’s sexting scandal will be covered in the next season of the hit Netflix show Drive to Survive.

It will potentially reopen wounds for Horner and his wife Spice Girls star Geri Halliwell as they attempt to move on from the drama.

Horner has previously raged against the scrutiny over the scandal – but now it will be the focus of the Netflix show watched by millions.

Brit filmmaker Gay-Rees revealed he has spoken to the Red Bull chief since the scandal broke before the start of the F1 season.

He claims the 50-year-old ex-racing driver told him: “This is all your fault.”

Horner appears to have been referencing the new focus Drive to Survive has put on F1 – especially drama and scandal behind the scenes of the Grand Prix circus.

Speaking of the scandal, Mr Gay-Rees said: “It will have to be referenced in some capacity, yeah.”

“And they will all want it to be told in a particular way, so it’s about treading that line to keep everybody happy, and to keep Netflix happy, and us – so we can sleep at night with the decisions we’ve made,” he told The Telegraph.

Horner was cleared of misconduct by a Red Bull investigation back in February.

But the scandal was taken to a new level when sexually suggestive texts appearing to be sent by Horner were leaked.

Horner’s accuser – a female colleague – has since been suspended by Red Bull and has appealed the decision.

And she reportedly plans to take her case to an employment tribunal as she wants to return to work for the championship-winning team.

Mr Gay-Rees said: “You have to have balance. I think Horner is looking ok for the time being, but it doesn’t feel like it’s done yet.

“It will all depend on how it plays out.”

‘I don’t know what he got up to – and I genuinely don’t have an opinion on it, but he’s been through it and you wouldn’t wish that on anybody.”

Horner’s accuser is reportedly “in it for the long haul” as she continues to fight against the decision to clear her boss, reports The Independent.

A source said: “She remains resolute and is in it for the long haul.

“She’s holding her council for now and wants the matter dealt with privately.”

Horner has always denied any wrongdoing over the allegations and blasted the infamous text leak as “anonymous speculation”.

He has demanded an end to the drama which he described as a “very trying period” for his family.

His wife Geri has stood by him – appearing at his side at the races in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, both won by Red Bull.

Red Bull are first in both the drivers’ and constructors’ championships after a dominant start to the season.

Horner’s star driver Max Verstappen will be looking for his fourth world championship in a row – and won the first two races.

He was only undone in Australia when his brakes caught fire after he lost first place to Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz.

Verstappen however remains the hot favourite for the title.

And the Dutchman, 26, has been one of the most vocal critics of Drive to Survive.

He had previously boycotted the show, refusing any interviews – claiming it had faked storylines and made the drama “over the top”.

Speaking earlier this year, he said: “You don’t see a lot of me on Drive to Survive, which is why I don’t like doing it.

“You probably don’t get the right side of me because it is just an interview, I am just sitting down in a dark room and I hate that.

“They put a mic in front of you and you have to talk about the season which… just have a casual interaction, have fun.”

It leaves a vacancy alongside George Russell, with a host of names being linked to the seat.

McLaren’s Oscar Piastri, RB’s Daniel Ricciardo, ex-Haas driver Mick Schumacher, and Williams’ Alex Albon have all been mooted as possible options.

But Italian Antonelli, 17, is now set to be given the opportunity to prove himself as the best suitor when he gets behind the wheel of the Mercedes W12.

He will spend two days driving Mercedes’ 2021 constructors’ championship-winning car at the Austria’s Red Bull Ring on April 16 and 17.

According to The Mirror, it will be the first of several auditions for Antonelli to prove he has the ability to succeed Hamilton.

After impressing in F4 last year, Antonelli has been promoted straight to F2 for the 2024 season.

He also has a personal relationship with Mercedes boss Toto Wolff as his family are close to the Austrian businessman.

An impressive debut year in F2 could convince Mercedes to take a chance on him in 2025.

He is racing for Prema this year alongside Oliver Bearman – who finished seventh at the Saudi Grand Prix after he replaced the absent Carlos Sainz.

Antonelli is down in ninth in the F2 standings after three races, but did finish fourth in Melbourne last month.

Speaking previously about Antonelli, Mercedes boss Wolff said: “We got Kimi under the wings in 2012 and he was a great kid already then.

“You could see the character [and] he was strong. We had him in the garage and there was a lot of confidence.

“In go-karting his track record was immense and then you put him in the junior formulas and he wins every single season in his rookie year.

“But we’ve got to be careful because there’s a lot of hype around him.

“Putting him into F2 is a big step because those cars are heavier and much more powerful.

“If we give him his time and don’t expect him to be killing it in his first season, I think he can be a really great one in this sport.

“He’s 17 – this is so young.”

Mike Tyson is known for breaking down publicly, but it happened when he interviewed fellow boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard.

A pivotal moment in the podcast show era it happened on an episode of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson as Leonard guest-starred.

The two Hall of Famers – arguably the best of their respective era – chatted openly during 85 minutes and 53 seconds of pure gold for any boxing fan.

During the interview, Leonard and Tyson were entirely at ease with each other, as respect oozed from their bodies throughout the taping.

It culminated in a short extract from Tyson instantly gaining worldwide attention.

“Boxing gave me so, so much, man,” Sugar Ray told Tyson at around 7:30 seconds. “And I know it sounds corny, but you know what, I don’t care.

“I am who I am because of boxing. I’m here doing this interview with you, Mike, because of boxing.

“There were times I had things happen to me that I to – wow, that I had to deal with. Being sexually abused by a coach who I believe in, who I trusted.

“I don’t know why I brought that up. But I’m glad I was able to bring that up. Because Mike, I love you, man.

“We go through battles in the ring. When I give speeches, I use boxing as a metaphor because we are fighters outside of the ring. We get knocked down, and we need a great corner. We have to do our own version of roadwork.

“And you know, I enjoy doing this because, at first, I would shed tears back in the day – years ago. I would cry because I couldn’t talk about this. These subject matters. But I can talk about them now because of where I am and who I am.”

At this point, Mike asks co-host and ex-American footballer Eden Britton to step in and fill the time as he composes himself.

Tyson eventually returned to the conversation a few minutes later with one of the most powerful statements he’s ever made.

Before that, Leonard continued opening up honestly as Tyson visibly wiped the tears away from his eyes.

“I was in a brutal sport for forty years, and to come out somewhat unscathed is genuinely a dream come true, a blessing.

“I’ve done all those things from cocaine, and I’m an alcoholic, which I would never say as I was trying to take care of myself and being a publicist. But I talk about these things because you know why? – They help other people, they help other people.”

Ray mentioned his book as Eden, then brought Mike back in.

He chokingly said: “This is beautiful that you came to this place in your life. And we all come to this place in life. I guess it has to do with our mortality in some way.

“Do we really believe we will see God after we die? – And will he be okay with what he saw in my lifetime?

“I know that’s some n**** bull**** sometimes. But when I see you, I don’t see that.

Inspiration

“I saw you when I was 12 years old. I saw you fighting Wilfred Benitez. But I was locked up. What was that in ’79? [Leonard agreed, yes].

“So, I’m locked up in juvenile [detention]. I’m watching the fight. You’re fighting a master, and nobody was saying anything.

“He was the champion of the world at 17. Not amateur, professional. Now he’s 21, fighting you. I can’t even talk.”

Leonard again shows Mike love before Tyson says: “No, you inspired me so f***ing much, n****.

“Then I saw you fight Duran. It changed my life. I thought, ‘This is what I’m going to be!’

“You might not think you’re nobody, n**** I love you. You changed my life because you’re so beautiful. And you don’t even understand, man. You’re immortal to me.

“I’m in love with fighting. This is what fighting did for me,” he added, pointing to the studio and surroundings. This is my s***. You’re on my show, n****. I worship you.”

A brief chat on the beauty of mastering a knockout punch led Tyson to what will become one of his most famous quotes.

“I’m a f***ing student of war,” he pointed out. “I know all the warriors, from Charlemagne to Achilles. The number one warrior of all warriors – and then Alexander and Napoleon. I know them all.

Tough guy persona

“I read about them all. I’ve studied them all. I know the art of fighting. I know the art of war. That’s all I ever studied.

“That’s why I’m so feared. But that’s why they feared me when I was in the ring. I was an annihilator. It’s all I was born for.

“Now those days are gone. It’s empty. I’m nothing. I’m working on the art of humbleness.

“That’s why I’m crying because I’m no longer that person, and I miss him.

“Because sometimes I feel like a b***h. I don’t want that person to come out because hell is coming with him if he comes out.”

Eden, obviously taken aback by what he heard, gave a nervous smirk – before Tyson stated: “And it’s not funny at all. I sound cool like I’m a tough guy, but I hate that guy. I’m scared of him.

Leonard then attempted to give Mike more time to get together and spoke about his regrets from his wild days.

“I’ve become a better father, a better husband, and a better friend. Life indeed is what you make it.”

Tyson apologized for his emotion as the camera switched to show them together.

“I’m sorry, but this is beautiful. He brings this out in me.”

WBC heavyweight champion Fury feels the time spent at home due to the proliferation of COVID-19 has helped him to focus on what matters most.

“It has awoken me because I was one of those people who fell victim to that, always chasing stuff and always wanting to do big things, I was never happy sitting at home and I wanted to go out and be active.

“In the couple of weeks I’ve been locked down I’ve had time to focus on the things that really matter in my life. I think I’ll come back a different person and I think I’ll have a different mindset.”

Fury’s third fight against Deontay Wilder, originally expected to take place in July, has been delayed until October at the earliest due to coronavirus.

Victoria Beckham acted as her own makeup artist at her recent photo shoot.

The fashion and beauty mogul recruited celebrity hairstylist Ken Paves to style her strands for a shoot to promote her latest Victoria Beckham Beauty launches. But instead of hiring a makeup artist, Victoria, 47, decided to do the job herself.

As Paves worked on her hair, Victoria snapped a mirror selfie to reveal her completed makeup look. “Shooting @victoriabeckhambeauty. In hair @kenpaves and makeup (how did I do?),” she said.

Later in the day, the star switched out of her black slip dress and into a similar silky emerald design. She needed a bit of a makeup touch-up as well, and luckily, her husband David Beckham, 46, came to the rescue.

David and Victoria celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary in July. The couple married on July 4, 1999, at Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland, with their first son Brooklyn Beckham, who was only 4-months-old at the time, serving as ring bearer. Since then, the couple has had three more children: sons Romeo, 18, and Cruz, 16, and daughter Harper, 10.

As well as sharing Nicola’s post on her Story, the former Spice Girl also posted several sweet snaps of daughter Harper, 12, having fun on the beach.

Danielle Lloyd has revealed David Beckham nearly ran her over.

Speaking to the My Dirty Laundry podcast, the model and mother-of-five, 40, said she was ‘mortified and embarrassed’ when it happened but admitted it was all her fauly.

She said: ‘So something that happened to me back in the day was that I nearly got run over by David Beckham, which was quite funny, but embarrassing at the same time.

‘I remember the day, it was really raining really badly. And I ran out into the road to try and get across the road really quickly.

‘Thankfully he didn’t run me over, but he put the window down and was like, “Oh, are you okay?”‘

She continued: ‘I felt like I couldn’t even speak because obviously it was David Beckham and I was just mortified. Honestly, I was mortified.

‘But I remember the rain. It was really raining badly, but the sun still looked like it was shining on his face.’

Danielle said while the moment happened some time ago, David was already with his now wife Victoria at this point.

Calling him ‘handsome’ she admitted that she also has a bit of a soft spot for Victoria too after watching their eponymous Netflix documentary.

She said: ‘I just loved it. I was like literally obsessed with it. And I feel like she came across really, really well.

‘She made herself more approachable, I think on the show. I feel like she just, like, you see the different sides for what I really, really liked.’

But Danielle said that she won’t be letting the cameras into her own home anytime soon.

She said: ‘I think I’m pretty boring day to day anyway. I go to the gym, look after the kids and I don’t do anything too exciting.’

And referring to the moment Victoria claimed to have had a ‘working class’ upbringing, despite her dad owning a Rolls Royce, Danielle joked: ”And my dad didn’t have a Rolls Royce either. So I’ve got nothing exciting to say.’

David and Victoria Beckham are preparing to give up their dream Cotswolds home nine years after purchasing the property for £6 million.

Their countryside retreat had become a safe haven for them at weekends, away from the hustle and bustle of their £25 million West London mansion.

But recently, the home – now expected to be worth £12 million – has not been the tranquil setting they wanted.

According to the Mail On Sunday, the couple have been by traffic noise from the nearby Soho Farmhouse, an exclusive venue which plays host to celebrities. 

Although they bought the house when the celebrity haunt was already open, traffic has doubled in the last two years to the venue.

Guests have to go past their luxury barn conversion to reach the hangout. 

They are now searching for serenity again, looking for a new property or land near Great Tew after Soho Farmhouse expanded.

David Beckham purchased his first home in 1996 for £150,000 at the age of 21.

He was living in Manchester and playing for Manchester United. The home was where he and model first girlfriend Krista Kemp would relax with a takeaway.

She said at the time: ‘He wasn’t at all what you’d expect in a famous footballer. His lifestyle was verging on the boring.’

David met Spice Girl Victoria Adams in 1997 and proposed to her in January 1998. Victoria spent her first pregnancy in this house, but she and David moved out before their 1999 wedding.

The house was sold for £190,000, outperforming the local market by almost double.

1998-2002: A SWANKY PENTHOUSE

They did a series of photoshoots at the property, starting with an introduction to their baby Brooklyn in May 1999, five weeks after he was born.

For the lavish home, the living room was decorated in zebra print and the bathroom in leopard print by Victoria.

Victoria said at the time: ‘I designed it all. I picked up bits and pieces from all over America and Europe. When we were on tour, my mum would come out to America with chunks of skirting board in her suitcase for me to look at.’

There was also a huge picture of the couple kissing in the hallway. 

Although they spent a massive £40,000 on a swanky Harrods kitchen, they often bought food from local Italian Est Est Est for dinner.

David would have a spaghetti bolognese and Victoria a salad. The flat was sold in August 2002 for £600,000.

They were upsizing for their young family before the next football season began after Victoria found out that she was pregnant with Romeo, her second son.

The property boasted five bedrooms, a gym and indoor pool but was not in their hands for long.

They sold it two years later for £1.75 million after spending minimal time there.

A few months after buying it, they had also purchased a mansion in Hertfordshire, which was dubbed Beckingham Palace.

It served as a Northern base for David while he was doing his football training but Victoria stayed down south.

However, Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson made it clear he didn’t expect his star to be going out in London with his wife and then toiling up the motorway for training the next day. 

There was a notorious incident in 2003 when David needed stitches over one eye after a boot was thrown in the changing room.

The home, which was on the Hertfordshire/Essex border, cost £2.5 million and boasted 24 acres.

They spent a huge £3 million on fixing up the mansion, putting in a medieval maze and floodlit tennis court.

‘Beckingham Palace’ was owned by the local council in the past and was once a home for disabled boys. 

It was a hugely extravagant home, with a reported £20,000 splashed out on a fibre-optic light display in Brooklyn’s bedroom.

David and Victoria also had their faces superimposed on a frieze of Cinderella and Prince Charming.

The lavish property also had three £10,000 gazebos, a garden pavilion with a marble floor and a £70,000 4ft-long barbecue.

Security ran to two lines of fences and many security cameras. A bespoke treehouse bought in 2004 cost £25,000.

They hung on to the house until 2015, but after David’s move to Los Angeles in 2007, the family preferred to stay in London hotels on their visits home.

An insurance tycoon bought it for £11.35 million. Property in the area rose by 87.7 per cent in that time, but taking into account the money spent on it, the Beckhams increased the house’s value only by 54.3 per cent — meaning that it under-performed.

The Beckhams made another big purchase in 2002, getting their hands on a villa in Palm Jumeirah.

While they got the villa for £1.3 million, the value is believed to have soared to £8million by 2008.

The property is still on their radar and they have access to it even though it was reported that the generous husband and wife gave it to Victoria’s parents Tony and Jackie.

This was revealed in 2020, when Victoria shared a happy sun-soaked family snap by the pool.

In 2003, when David left Manchester United, he and Victoria spent £1.5 million on a holiday home near St Tropez. 

The property had 34 rooms, a heated pool and its own vineyard along with a private chapel.

Again, they put in a large amount of money for renovations, adding a black marble kitchen, Moroccan-style pool house and chintzy living room.  

In the early years, before David went to play for LA Galaxy, the family used to spend their holidays there.

It was put up for sale in 2015 for £2.5 million and was re-listed for £2.4 million in 2016, after the couple realised that they never used the house yet were still paying for its staff and upkeep.

Amid the Rebecca Loos scandal in 2004 and as a part of a tricky process of settling in, the Beckhams bought a home in Madrid in 2005.

Their purchase allowed their children to visit their father as Victoria never moved to Spain with the children.   

The couple bought the five-bedroom property in La Moraleja for £3.6 million.

Their property, which was just outside Madrid, lay empty until 2015 when it was sold for £4.2 million after David moved to America.

When David returned to London in 2012, they were advised the house was worth only £7 million. However, it seems to have soared in value since.

Local property expert Jan Knapik of The Source Realty Group said: ‘The market has come back. I would say it is worth up to £24 million.’

They proved the price had soared, selling the home in 2018 for $33.1m.

Another purchase on the Beckham property ladder is a home inside the Burj Khalifa.

It is understood that David snapped up the swanky property in 2009 for $5million (£4 million) and own it now.

Although the Beckhams often share images inside their other abodes, there are few from inside the Dubai property.

The couple bought their swanky mansion in 2013 for £21.4 million at the height of the London market, nestled in posh Holland Park. 

They had spent months looking for an ideal family home after David retired from football and the Beckhams were looking to make the UK their base again.

David and Victoria spent around £8 million renovating the property but despite this, it was revealed last year that the home needed urgent structural repairs to stop the raised roof terrace from collapsing. 

The 9,000 sq ft house has eight bedrooms and seven bathrooms and features a playroom, gym and spa.

David and Victoria snapped up their country retreat in the Cotswolds for a reported £6.15 million in December 2016.

The farmhouse was their weekend getaway and was converted into a huge family home after extensive renovations.

They even had the help of Marcus Barnett, a three-time Chelsea Flower Show winner, who transformed their garden into a beautiful fairytale oasis.

The outdoor space had an pergola and an orchard and their luxurious home was also complete with a fireplace, plunge pool, tennis court, swimming pool and football pitch.

And if the family wanted to unwind even further, there is an Estonian sauna and hot tub for them to enjoy too.

It is not yet known if they will sell the property or rent it out after they find another countryside bolt hole.

Yet another swish property was added to the Beckham list in 2020.

The breathtaking apartment in Miami was purchased for $24million (£20m) in the One Thousand Museum building.

Late British-Iraqi Zaha Hadid designed the extravagant high-rise, which is 700ft tall.

Their five-bedroom property has free-standing baths, a huge kitchen, a pool and gym, spa and helipad.

Goldenballs took a leap and branched out into the world of luxury yachts recently.

After a lavish holiday with Elton John and David Furnish on theirs, he decided to get one of his own.

He splashed out £5 million on the large vessel, which he named Seven.

The name refers to the number he wore on his shirts when he played for Manchester United and England during his footballer career.

‘Seven’ played host to the family when they celebrated son Brooklyn’s nuptials to Nicola Peltz in April last year.

They will be able to use the boat as a base for sailing around Miami and the Florida Keys.

Larger and more imposing than its predecessor – thought to be a ’90 Argo, purchased from yacht manufacturer Riva – the new boat boasts three sprawling decks and masses of space to unwind.

The vessel is believed to be another Riva design, the 130 Bellissima, complete with its own 20 square-metre garage, upper deck jacuzzi and lower deck swim platform.

It is unknown if the vessel is owned or chartered, however, both have been personalised with the single word Seven – a reference to Beckham’s Manchester United and England squad number, and daughter Harper’s middle name – emblazoned across the hull.

Taking advantage of its extra space, Beckham and his fashion designer wife were seen sunbathing as spring temperatures across the Gulf Coast continued to soar.

The football legend was said to have ‘treated himself’ to his original £5million vessel in 2022 after being inspired by his maritime jaunts with close friends Sir Elton John and David Furnish – who often holiday at sea.

A source told The Sun at the time: ‘David had a look around some yachts in the summer, and decided to treat himself. He helped design the boat himself, and has been incredibly hands-on with everything.

‘It’s not an oligarch-style super-yacht, but it’s still pretty plush by anyone’s standards. He was inspired after holidaying with Elton and David on their boat – and loves life on the water.

‘There will be an area for the kids to snorkel, and the boat will be a brilliant base for the whole Beckham clan to have magical holidays abroad.’

Beckham recently admitted that he didn’t realise how ‘strong’ Victoria was until they exchanged vows in 1999.

Speaking on This Life of Mine with James Corden, David revealed that he ‘really fancied’ her at the time, even though he ‘didn’t know’ who she really was until their relationship progressed.

He said: ‘I really just fancied her. I did. I just fancied her.

‘I didn’t know what she was like as a person. I just actually fancied her like most people did at that time, and I didn’t know who I was marrying [or] who I was going to be with for the rest of my life.

‘I didn’t realise what a strong woman she was, and that is what really attracted me to her more than anything.’
