Minting $25,000,000 Effortlessly, Terence Crawford Reveals Why He Doesn’T Follow Mike Tyson’S Strategy Before Fights To Joe Rogan

“Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere.” All martial artists claim to have this attitude. But if there is one boxer who has truly embodied this motto, it has to be Terence Crawford. While every top athlete seems to be guarding their undefeated record, Crawford appears ready to face anyone willing to step inside the ring with him.

Despite this unflinching attitude, ‘Bud’ remains undefeated in his professional career—a career that spans 40 fights over 15 years. No doubt, maintaining such a resume requires serious hard work and strategy. While no one can doubt Crawford’s work ethic, it seems the boxer is not a fan of tried and tested strategies.

Terence Crawford does not follow the Mike Tyson formula

In his recent appearance on Joe Rogan‘s ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, Terence Crawford made a revelation that might raise some eyebrows. According to the newly crowned undisputed welterweight champion, he does not watch much films of his opponents before his bouts. This practice, he claims, continued during his recently concluded fight against Errol Spence Jr. The same fight in which he reportedly minted at least 25 million doll ars.

For those unaware, the said bout wasn’t just a milestone in Crawford’s career, but also for the entire sport of boxing. With this victory, he became the first boxer of this era to become the undisputed champion in two different weight classes. In boxing, it’s common practice to watch available footage of rivals during training camp and prepare a strategy accordingly, especially when so much is on the line. Many big names in boxing vouch for this strategy. One of those names is none other than the legendary Mike Tyson.

In fact, ‘Iron Mike’ claims that he used to watch his opponent’s footage all the way to his dressing room, on the fight day. But according to Crawford, he prefers to make adjustments on the fly rather than formulate a plan beforehand. In Crawford’s own words: “Like I don’t watch too much film because I’m going to make my adjustments on the fly inside the ring. So yeah, I don’t watch too much film”.

Will there be a Canelo fight for the double champ?

As soon as Terence Crawford defeated Errol Spence Jr, speculation about the double champion’s next opponent became the talk of the town. According to many, with the Spence fight done, the Nebraska native should face the next big thing: Canelo Alvarez. This is a fight that Crawford has also expressed a desire for. However, according to Canelo Alvarez, he does not see this bout ever materializing.

For the Mexican, the weight difference between him and his American opponent is significant. So much so that he considers this fight an ‘impossible’ proposition. In Canelo’s own words: “I don’t think anyone will beat Crawford, from 147 to 154 no one beats him. At 160 we don’t know, but at 154 I don’t see anyone beating him. He’s a great fighter.”

Despite Being “Very Impressed”, Mike Tyson Gives Brutally Honest Review On Francis Ngannou As His Trainer Ahead Of Tyson Fury Fight

After a long time in the making, the crossover bout between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou is finally at hand. The fight which is going to take place in October this year, has garnered attention from both UFC and boxing fans. This bout will mark the debut of the former UFC Heavyweight champion into the sport. Francis Ngannou is known for his destructive power and he has knocked 12 out of the 20 opponents he has faced so far.

Meanwhile, Fury is also a powerhouse who has enough defensive capabilities to absorb all of Deontay Wilder‘s punches. Moreover, Ngannou is even being trained by the best of the best, Mike Tyson! The former boxing champion recently gave his honest review on Ngannou and this is what he feels about the ‘The Predator.’

Francis Ngannou surprises Tyson as the legend trains him for the upcoming bout

Recently, Francis Ngannou appeared on Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson as a guest, and the topic of his training experience with the boxing legend was brought up. Tyson tried to get the clip from their training played as he asked, “Let’s go check out some of our workouts in the gym.” His co-host DJ Whoo Kid shared his surprise over the clip. However, the Brooklyn native soon found out that they did not have any videos taken. He revealed, “No we told them not to film him. I’m sorry.”

Kid then asks Mike, “Did you bring up some Cus D’Amato techniques to put it on him.” To this, Tyson revealed that since it was the first day of their training he wanted to only assess Ngannou’s capabilities. He said, “I just wanted to see what he had yesterday. Before I decide what I was gonna do with him, okay?”. This led Kid to joke about Tyson giving the former UFC champ “some of the secret sauce”. Tyson stated, “The only thing he needs is more competitiveness, just continue, continue, repeat. Keep going.”

Ngannou opens up about his problems

Soon, Whoo Kid pointed out that a lot of people were not on board with the matchup. To this, Francis replied, “People will always have to intercept.” He claimed that this happens when someone does something people are “not used to” or “they are afraid of.” He then recalled that when he first stated his desire to be a professional boxer/fighter, people around him thought that he was “crazy.” Ngannou revealed how people compared him to ‘Iron Mike’ and stated that he was already a champ by the time he was 19.

43-YO Old Boxer Achieves Mike Tyson’s Unbreakable Record Set 36 Years Ago

In a realm where fists speak louder than words, legends like Mike Tyson set standards seemingly unreachable. Yet, recently, the boxing world’s corners resonated with unexpected murmurs. A name unfamiliar in the annals of boxing’s elite began to gain momentum. At 43, when many echo Tyson’s legacy and contemplate retirement, one steps into the spotlight, his intent fierce.

Records that some people like Tyson established remain intimidating, unyielding monoliths. But here’s a tale of an outlier, defying norms and age. Each punch was thrown for victory and a spot in history.

The countdown begins: 59 days to break a long-standing record set by Mike Tyson

On August 19th, Jesus Escalera stepped into the ring, eyes fixed on more than just his opponent, Marcelo Leandro Da Silva. Every punch and every dodge meant history. And as the match progressed, the anticipation reached a feverish pitch. Jesus happens to be the President of T&K Boxing Promotions and decided to try his hand out at boxing on October 14 last year.

The bout was intense, with both fighters demonstrating their skill and determination. But it was Escalera, with unwavering focus, who delivered the decisive blow, knocking out Da Silva. The crowd erupted, not just for the win but for what it represented.

This wasn’t merely Escalera’s 17th win. It was his 17th knockout in his 17th fight. A record-setting achievement that placed him squarely alongside a legend: Mike Tyson. At 43, Escalera had managed to equal a record that Tyson had set 36 years prior, which many considered untouchable.

Boxing Kingdom captured the moment perfectly. They tweeted, “New World Record tonight in boxing: Jesus Escalera, at 43 years old, got his 17th KO win in his first year as a pro tonight.” However, they swiftly corrected, “Record is equaled. Escalera has 59 days to break the record.”

In the annals of boxing, few have risen so swiftly to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with legends like Mike Tyson. Unquestionably, Jesus Escalera’s meteoric rise has shaken the foundation of boxing history due to his unwavering determination and unmatched skill. As he inches closer to possibly breaking a three-decade-old record, the question remains: Will Escalera surpass Tyson’s legacy in the upcoming 59 days? Only time will tell.

  • 30 Years Ago Today Buster Douglas Shocked The World When He Beat Mike Tyson – But That’s Not The Fight That Made Him Rich For Life

30 Years Ago Today Buster Douglas Shocked The World When He Beat Mike Tyson – But That’s Not The Fight That Made Him Rich For Life

February 11, 1989 was a day that shook the world. For those who are too young to remember, the world as we knew it was very different after that fateful day. No, a war wasn’t started. A peace treaty wasn’t signed. In fact, the Berlin Wall was still standing and would continue to stand for 10 more months. So what happened on February 11, 1989? The world found out the the unbeatable was beatable. That was the day a nobody named James “Buster” Douglas defeated the undisputed, unbeatable, unpunchable Mike Tyson.

Prior to February 11, Mike Tyson was widely considered the best boxer of all time. Certainly the best in the world at the moment. He had a track record of eviscerating his opponents in a matter of seconds. None of this Floyd Mayweather dancing around for 12 rounds without getting punched or punching. The bell would ring, Mike would spring from his corner and destroy his opponents with brutal force.

Mike started to run out of opponents because he would just mow through anyone put in his path. As fate would have it, the boxing Gods decided that Mike would face off against an unknown named James “Buster” Douglas. It was a set up match to pave the way for Mike to face Evander Holyfield. Essentially an easy win that would keep fans satisfied and allow Mike to continue devouring the boxing world.

The fight was set for February 11, 1989 in Tokyo where local promoters paid Mike $6 million just to show up.

Douglas’ defeat was such a forgone conclusion that only ONE casino in Vegas even allowed people to place bets on the fight. That casino was The Mirage. The odds they offered? 42 to 1.

Fans and bookies weren’t the only ones who assumed the fight was an easy win, or even a set up. Mike himself thought this was just a little blip on his continued path of world dominance. After all, he was the reigning undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. He entered the fight with a record of 37 – 0 with 33 knockouts.

Unfortunately, Mike’s complacency went to his head. Instead of spending months training and preparing, he basically just vegged out.

His lack of preparedness was on full display when Mike showed up to the weigh-ins with essentially a beer belly. Douglas on the other hand hit the gym and showed up in the best shape of his life.

During the actual fight, Mike looked tired and out of shape (because he was), whereas Douglas looked better than ever. He was aggressive, fast and did not tire easily. In the 9th round, Douglas did something to Tyson that no one had ever done before, he forced the champ to the ground.

It was in the 10th round that the world changed. That’s when, to every human being’s absolute shock, James “Buster” Douglas not only defeated Mike Tyson, he KNOCKED HIM OUT.

It’s hard to overstate how big of a deal this was at the time. I was only 7 years old but I knew something insane had happened. Mike Tyson was larger than life. He couldn’t lose to some nobody. But he did.

30 Years Ago Today Buster Douglas Shocked The World When He Beat Mike Tyson - But That's Not The Fight That Made Him Rich For Life | Celebrity Net Worth

How Much Did Buster Douglas Make Beating Mike Tyson?

Mike earned the $6 million to show up and Buster Douglas earned $1.3 million. With bonuses and PPV money, Buster’s total cut was $3 million. That’s roughly $6 million today after adjusting for inflation. An incredible amount of money at the time, especially for a guy who had never earned more than $200,000 from a single fight previously. But this wasn’t the fight that would put Buster on easy street for life. Douglas’ next opponent would be Evander Holyfield – Tyson’s intended next target. Douglas earned $24.1 million, the largest boxing purse in history up to that point, when he faced off against Holyfield. That’s the same as around $44 million in today’s dollars.

Holyfield, who earned $8 million, defeated an overweight and out-of-shape Buster in the third of twelve rounds.

But Douglas didn’t seem to mind one bit. He fought a few more times in much smaller venues. His final match was in February 1999.

All told, Buster earned the equivalent of $50 million between those two fights alone. Perhaps more importantly, he changed the world forever.

The entire family put on a stylish display, with the athlete — who recently launched a soccer team in Miami — opting for a classic black suit and tie, and the couple’s two sons wearing long coats. Daughter Harper has clearly inherited her mom’s passion for fashion, wearing a sweet white dress and burgundy coat, and her hair in two French braids.

  • Carlos Sainz Is Not Sure of Winning the Race in Japan After Reality Set In During Qualifying

Ferrari kept the progress trajectory steady as they extracted a perfect 1-2 result in Australia. Experts and fans expected them to keep the momentum going as F1 moved to Japan this weekend. However, the darts have landed far from their target as Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc failed to impress in qualifying. The Spaniard has, therefore, curbed his expectations of a race win and will instead concentrate on getting a P3 finish.

Formu1a.uno quoted Sainz as saying, “Honestly, we are perhaps stronger in the race than in qualifying, but not as it seems in the long runs because I think the Red Bull was fully fueled. We will fight with Lando [Norris, starting P3] if he allows us because in qualifying he was two-tenths faster. Realistically, third place is the goal. We will compete for the podium with McLaren.”

Carlos Sainz managed to register a respectable P4 starting position on Saturday. His teammate, Charles Leclerc, however, struggled a lot more and managed a lowly P8. Therefore, a target of P3 against Lando Norris seems like a realistic target for Sainz. Leclerc, on the other hand, will need a stroke of luck to aim for a podium finish.

However, Ferrari’s gap to Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez is alarming. Sainz was close to half a second slower in one-lap pace to leader Verstappen. Meanwhile, Leclerc had another tenth of a second between him and the Dutchman. So, considering Ferrari’s lack of pace this weekend, what could be a realistic finish for them at Suzuka?

Can Carlos Sainz beat Lando Norris’ McLaren?

If Max Verstappen’s DNF in Australia is put aside, Ferrari put up a dominant display to register a perfect 1-2 result. Carlos Sainz successfully overtook the reigning champion before the latter suffered a race-ending brake issue.

Similarly, Charles Leclerc did his part in surviving the pressure from the two McLarens and Sergio Perez’s Red Bull by finishing second. However, during this weekend’s Japanese GP, Ferrari just do not seem to have had the pace to fight Red Bull.

The Prancing Horse will need to evaluate where they lacked pace, with Leclerc himself having admitted that he is clueless about why was he so poor during qualifying. While Ferrari lacked pace on a one-lap, their race simulations seemed promising as the SF24 looks to be just one-tenth off the pace of the RB20.

Then, why is only a P3 finish a realistic target for Carlos Sainz? The Suzuka circuit, despite its cult following among F1 drivers, is infamous for the lack of overtaking opportunities. Perhaps, that is the reason why Sainz chose Lando Norris as his realistic target for the race.

But the Papaya outfit looks to be on an upward trajectory as well. After having subpar performances in the first three races, Norris gave positive feedback about the car’s performance in Japan. Therefore, it seems that Sainz will have his work cut out on Sunday if he is to overtake the McLaren of Norris.

Mike Tyson Brutally KOs Deontay Wilder In Stunning Fan Tiktok Edit Which Simulates Fight Between Heavyweight Knockout Kings

Mike Tyson vs Deontay Wilder has long been hypothesised as a fantasy fight for the ages.

The heavyweight kings, famed for their historic power, both became hugely popular knockout artists in their respective eras.

In the late 1980s and 1990s, Tyson was the hardest punching boxer in the world.

He therefore claimed the mythical title of ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’.

In the 2010s and early 2020s though, Wilder has emerged as a similarly ferocious heavyweight.

Tyson retired with 44 KOs from his 50-6 record (a KO ratio of 76%).

Meanwhile Wilder currently has 42 KOs from his 43-2-1 record (a KO ratio of 91%).

These comparisons posed the question – what would have happened if they fought.

A TikTok user has now given his take on answering that question with an incredible video edit.

The clip puts together footage of both of their bouts to make it look as if they are indeed facing one another.

Tommy Fury made Tyson Fury look foolish as he swinged and missed during an eye-opening sparring session.

Tommy is in training camp ahead of his highly-anticipated clash against KSI next month.

He hasn’t fought since his big win over Jake Paul last February, with the 24-year-old drafting in his older brother for sparring.

Tyson is also in preparation for a massive showdown as he faces former UFC champion Francis Ngannou on October 28.

Ahead of their respective fights in October, Tommy and Tyson sparred and there was a clear winner.

Tommy made Tyson swing thin air as he showed off his reflex. Despite the size difference, ‘TNT’ backed up the WBC world heavyweight champion in the ring.

They continued to exchange and trade punches to the body before the spar came to an end.

Tommy vs KSI headlines a stacked card on October 14 in Manchester, and they sat down face-to-face as they had a heated verbal exchange.

During their face-off, the social media star claimed Tyson doesn’t hit hard, which stunned the 9-0 fighter.

Tommy said: “You’re telling me you hit harder than the best fighter in the world, Tyson Fury?”

KSI responded: “I hit harder than Jake Paul.”

But Tommy interjected and said: “No, I’m talking about Tyson, because I’ve been getting hit off Tyson my whole life, so what makes you think that you can do similar to me?”

KSI said: “Tyson doesn’t hit hard like people like Wilder and s*** like that. How many times did Wilder drop him?”

And in response, Tommy said: “Guys, guys, who knocked out Wilder? Tyson knocked him out. This is what this proves about boxing. You don’t know boxing.”

KSI hasn’t fought since his no-contest against Joe Fournier last May.

Tommy, meanwhile, will look to take out another YouTuber personality, having defeated Paul in Saudi Arabia earlier this year.

A video of Francis Ngannou ‘technical sparring’ ahead of his blockbuster bout against Tyson Fury has emerged online and has left fight fans stunned.

Ngannou, who has drafted in boxing legend Mike Tyson for his training camp, meets Fury in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on October 28 in his first appearance since leaving the UFC.

He’ll make his boxing debut as he takes on the WBC world heavyweight champion.

But people are worried for the former UFC heavyweight king after training footage surfaced on social media.

A clip shows the 37-year-old ‘technical sparring’ with Carlos Takam, who has been in the ring with the likes of Anthony Joshua, Derek Chisora and Joe Joyce.

While it’s just a light and technical spar, fight fans couldn’t believe Ngannou’s mobility and boxing skills as they made their feelings known ahead of next month’s clash.

One X user wrote: “Takam is a unit of a man. Must be weird for him knowing he could beat Ngannou, yet it’s Ngannou that’s getting millions for facing Fury. Only in boxing hey…”

A second said: “He probably couldn’t beat a top 50 ranked boxer. Much less a top 10 ranked.”

A third joked: “I know he’s not saying it, but Carlos Takam is definitely thinking ‘Jheez, WTF, is this’.”

Someone argued: “This is a light spar. Power is power.”

Another claimed: “Dave Allen would KO him inside 2 rounds.”

Ngannou, who hasn’t fought since his victory over Ciryl Gane in January 2022, has just a few weeks left to prepare for his monstrous showdown against the ‘Gypsy King’.
