Jake Paul warns Mike Tyson not to ‘underestimate’ him ahead of Netflix clash, by harking back to one of Iron Mike’s most infamous moments in 1997

Jake Paul has warned Mike Tyson not to ‘underestimate’ him ahead of their clash in July – by making reference to one of Iron Mike’s most notorious moments.

Tyson and Paul left fans stunned with an announcement that they would fight in Dallas on July 20 in an exhibition streamed live on Netflix, despite an age gap of 30 years between the 27-year-old influencer and the former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

In an interview ahead of the fight, as they both prepare for the streamed event broadcast globally from Arlington, Texas, Paul alluded to one moment in Tyson’s career, back in 1997, just months after the YouTuber was born.

‘He can’t bite my ear off if I’ve knocked the teeth out of his mouth,’ Paul told FOX. ‘I really think he underestimates me.’

Tyson was disqualified in a June 1997 rematch for biting Evander Holyfield’s right ear so hard that it removed a portion of the appendage, causing the temporary loss of his boxing license.

Boxing legend Lennox Lewis said Tyson’s Netflix showdown with Paul would be ‘a great fight’

Paul, who was born in January 1997, added: ‘He is much stronger, but I am fresh. He is experienced. I’m smart in the ring, but maybe he’s even smarter. It will be very interesting.’

Tyson’s last official bout was in 2005, whilst YouTube influencer Paul has been a pro boxer since 2020.

Tyson claimed he was ‘scared to death’, but added: ‘This is a guy who’s going to try and hurt me, which I’m accustomed to, and he’s going to be greatly mistaken.’

Lennox Lewis, another former heavyweight champion of the world, told TMZ last month: ‘It’s going to be a great fight, I am looking forward to it.

‘No [I’m not upset about it not being a professional bout], because I would feel really bad for Jake Paul. I don’t want him to get hurt.’

The surprising match-up is being held at the 80,000-seater AT&T Stadium in Texas.

Last month, Tyson made a promotional blitz for his ‘Mike Bites’ weed gummies in the shape of an ear, one of which has a chunk of the top ripped off of it.

Mike Tyson has sent a warning shot to Jake Paul ahead of their fight, with the 57-year-old boxing legend posting a fearsome practice video to call out his opponent.

Tyson and Paul, who is thirty years his junior, will be fighting on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

And Tyson is already well underway with his training for the fight, as a new video shows him landing some powerful blows on his practice partner – with an intimidating message for Paul as well.

‘Can’t wait for this to be Jake,’ he captioned the video.

Tyson was seen in the ring with coach Rafael Cordeiro in February as he showed off his still-remarkable punching power.

The head of the Fury table wanted Paul to honour their handshake over the double or nothing bet, but now the American’s team are involved.

John Fury 'caught on camera' backing out of 'double or nothing' bet he wants Jake Paul to honour

John Fury has been told that he’s been caught on camera backing out of his son Tommy’s ‘double or nothing’ bet with Jake Paul, despite wanting the American to honour their handshake.

Ahead of their fight, Paul offered to double his opponents earnings for the fight if he could somehow find a way to defeat the YouTuber, during the pre fight press conference.

It wasn’t the undefeated boxer who accepted the challenge, but dad John, who didn’t miss a beat in agreeing to put his son’s £4 million on the line.

He unsurprisingly did get the victory, in a very poor impersonation of a boxing fight, but missed out on doubling his money after not signing a contract.

However, on Wednesday, father Fury took to social media to call on the ‘Problem Child,’ to honour the fact they’d shook on the deal, and pay out.

The 58-year-old even signed up to Twitter seemingly just to ask for the money, saying, “Jake Paul, moment of truth, again I say it. You lost the fight, we had a deal in front of millions of people worldwide, I expect you to honour that deal.”

However, that seems unlikely to happen now, with the American’s manager claiming that he has Tommy’s dad on camera refusing to sign a contract.

“Dear John – congratulations on the win. I’ve grown to highly respect you off camera,” Nakisa Bidarian posted on his Instagram.

“However, this statement is shocking given what you said to me at his Highnesses house on Friday evening and the ‘

correspondence from your / Tommy’s lawyer.

“Moreover our team has you on camera refusing to agree on the deal the night of the fight.”

Known as ‘Gypsy John,’ the former boxer had used his background as a reason that he didn’t sign the contract, in his Twitter post.

“Don’t come back to us with contracts and all that bullc***. I’m a gypsy, I can’t read and write properly and I don’t understand that,” Fury added.

It does seem like it’s not an argument that would hold up in court and Tommy might have to find a different way to make up that £4 million.

He could potentially do that with a rematch, which Paul says he deserves, although we don’t deserve to have to pay for, and Bidarian once again hinted at the fight happening again.

“With all that said – fair play to Tommy on a gear performance,” Paul’s agent said.

“You have raised a great young man. Hopefully he has the courage to do it again. Best, Nakisa.”

It feels like redoing this whole circus is somewhat inevitable, oh joy…

Footage from inside the ring captured Tyson Fury’s exchange with Jake Paul after his fight with brother Tommy.

Paul suffered his first ever career defeat on Sunday night in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, losing to Fury via split decision after the eight-round contest.

There was a mutual respect between the two fighters after going to battle following a back and forth rivalry that got deeply personal.

And straight after the bout, before the results were even in, WBC world heavyweight champion Fury went over to Paul and praised his performance in his first fight against an actual boxer.

“Well done, Jake,” Fury can be heard saying in the footage from Top Rank Boxing.

“Good fight brother. Very, very impressed. Well done, well done!”

Separately, the ‘Gypsy King’, who lost big money on a bet he placed, has also said he would very much be interested in seeing 6-1 Paul and his younger sibling go at it again in a rematch.

Both have said they would be up for slugging it out given the success of the first bout.

John Fury, meanwhile is urging Paul to stay true to his word and pay up for his ‘double or nothing’ bet.

The pair of fighters shook hands on a wager before and Fury Sr took to social media to tell him to pay up.

“Jake Paul, moment of truth, again I say it,” he said in a video on social media.

“You lost the fight, we had a deal in front of millions of people worldwide, I expect you to honour that deal.”

However, Paul’s team have since responded – with his manager taking to Instagram and claiming that they have video evidence of him not agreeing to the terms.

“Dear John – congratulations on the win. I’ve grown to highly respect you off camera,” Nakisa Bidarian posted.

“However, this statement is shocking given what you said to me at his Highnesses [sic] house on Friday evening and the correspondence from your / Tommy’s lawyer.

YouTuber with 1.7million subscribers explains how to survive a punch from Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson is not a man to be messed with, but a YouTuber has explained what to do if you end up on the wrong side of him.

Tyson is considered to be one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time, and for good reason.

Iron Mike, who enjoyed a 20-year career between 1985 and 2005, once won 37 consecutive matches, 33 of them knockouts. Only five boxers ever managed to beat him in the ring.

The 56-year-old hall-of-famer is known to have a short fuse, but don’t worry – here’s how to survive a Mike Tyson punch.

A few months ago, YouTube channel ‘How to Survive’ published a video titled ‘How to survive a punch from Mike Tyson’.

The video details five pieces of key advice that you should follow if you don’t want the last thing you see in this world to be Tyson’s fist.

Firstly, you should keep your eyes open at all costs. The natural instinct when bracing for impact is to close your eyes, but doing the opposite would serve you better.

“If you see the punch coming, your body’s natural instincts have a better chance to react to the threat and act to minimise the damage,” the video explains.

The next key stage is to roll with the punch. Most people tend to take punches straight to the face, but turning in the same direction as the punch lands would lessen the impact of the blow.

Tightening your neck muscles and pressing your tongue against the roof of your mouth would also help.

Tyson’s preferred method of attack was to land body shots. Defending your abdominal region with your forearms and elbows would provide some protection to your vital organs.

The next tip takes a little more preparation. Boxers have big, strong neck and trapezius muscles which help support the head when it takes blows.

The more the head rocks around when it is punched, the greater the chance of concussion or blacking out. Strong neck muscles reduce the chances of that and whiplash.

Perhaps the best piece of advice is to just avoid him. We’re sure Mike Tyson is a nice enough fella, but if you can’t resist pestering him for photos then maybe just stay well clear.

WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker did a little fist bump before highlighting the “zero hesitation” in his answer to boxing legend Mike Tyson.

Mike Tyson asks The Undertaker who is the 'finest woman wrestler,' WWE legend does not hesitate

WWE legend The Undertaker showed “zero hesitation” after boxing icon Mike Tyson asked him who would be the “finest woman wrestler” he would date.

The Undertaker, real name Mark Calaway, spent three decades with the WWE before he called it time on a legendary professional career in 2020.

The 57-year-old American star is a big admirer of Tyson, who famously crossed over into the world of WWE during the company’s fan-favourite Attitude Era.

Speaking on Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, ‘Iron’ Mike didn’t hesitate in picking ‘Taker’s mind on who is the “finest woman wrestler” he crossed paths with in his career.

A cool, calm Undertaker immediately responded to the boxing legend with Michelle McCool, who the ‘Deadman’ married back in 2010.

The WWE Hall of Famer then went on to share more details about McCool with Tyson before hilariously bigging himself up for his initial response to the former boxer.

Undertaker took a fist bump before highlighting the “zero hesitation” in his answer to the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet.’

Posted below is how the full exchange between The Undertaker and Tyson went in the clip (which can be viewed above in the video player).

Tyson: “Who’s the finest woman wrestler you’d date?”

    Undertaker: “My wife.”

    Tyson: “She wrestle?”

    Undertaker: “Yeah.”

    Tyson: “Where at?”

    Undertaker: “She wrestles for WWE.”

    Tyson: “Really? What’s her name?”

    Undertaker: “Michelle McCool.”

    Tyson: “Okay, cool. What about…”

Undertaker: “See how I did that? There was zero hesitation in that answer.”

Undertaker was previously married to Jodi Lynn and Sara Frank before divorcing from the pair in 1999 and 2007 respectively.

McCool, who is a former two-time WWE women’s champ and two-time Divas champ, has admitted she initially didn’t want to meet The Undertaker and WWE legend Kane.

“I grew up watching [WWE] and [The Undertaker] is not the most inviting person when you’re watching as a fan,” she told Digital Spy in 2020.

“He was telling someone the other day, ‘She doesn’t like long hair, she doesn’t like tattoos, she says I don’t look all warm and fuzzy.’ I’m like, ‘You don’t,’”“So I grew up watching it and I did not want to meet him. I didn’t want to meet Kane and obviously I married Mark and Kane is just the nicest guy you’ll ever meet.

“But it was just the whole character and he protected it, he lived it and I knew out of respect I had to say hi, but I had no interest in meeting him at all.”

'F**k off': Eddie Hearn blasts 'greedy' Tyson Fury for wanting 'too much money'

Eddie Hearn has let loose on Tyson Fury calling him ‘greedy’ when it comes to a blockbuster fight.

It seems like forever, that everyone has been clamouring over the prospect of the Gypsy King taking on Anthony Joshua.

There have been multiple attempts to make the fight happen but every time the contract has gotten close, the deal has fallen through.

It’s led to each side throwing bombs and blaming each other in the process.

Often, Fury comes out and sets some random deadline, otherwise the deal is off, before going back and saying that he’s willing to go up against AJ for free.

And now, Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, has said that no further talks would be held with Oleksandr Usyk’s team over a potential bout to be the undisputed heavyweight champion.

However, Hearn, who represents Joshua, says he’s gotten sick of Fury’s games and that the boxer has been taking fans for a ride.

Meanwhile, Joshua has never dodged a fight.

Speaking to IFL TV, the promoter said: “I’ll tell you this, Anthony Joshua fought Oleksandr Usyk back to back – no f**king problems, no questions, no long negotations – ‘That’s my mandatory? I’ll fight him’.

“Everyone said, ‘Swerve Oleksandr Usyk. He’s a tough, tough fight; you don’t want to fight him’.

“AJ said: ‘No, I want to be undisputed. Give me Usyk’. Done. The rematch comes in. ‘Oh, you don’t want to fight Usyk, you need a warm-up fight’. [AJ said:] ‘Give me Usyk’.”

He went on to claim that Fury wasn’t ‘the draw’ that he thinks he is.

He went on: “When are you guys out there going to start understanding? [Fury says] ‘It’s not about the money, I’ll fight him for free, as long as the tickets are free for the general public’. F*** off.

“You want money, you want too much money. You’re not the draw you think you are, that fight is not as big as you think it is.

“[It’s] greed. If you’re about legacy, if you want to be undisputed, then you take the fight. Oh, so you’re going to get £50million or £60m instead of the £80m or £100m, £125m that you asked for.

“F*CK OFF. YOU WANT MONEY, YOU WANT TOO MUCH MONEY” 🤬 @EddieHearn goes IN on @Tyson_Fury over ongoing negotiations with Oleksandr Usyk. Watch the full rant by clicking HERE ➡️ youtu.be/jDvFVWrE3O0 #EddieHearn #TysonFury #OleksandrUsyk #BoxingFans

“F*** me. You’ve all been played for all these years.

“If you really want the fight, you have to make concessions. Fury’s got a point, he’s a bigger draw, but I’ll tell you something now, when Tyson Fury drew with Deontay Wilder [in 2018], we offered him 40-60 to fight Anthony Joshua as a voluntary challenger.

“He came back and said: ‘I’ll only fight AJ on 50-50’. At the time, AJ was a much bigger draw.

“Tyson Fury is worth more than 50-50 in this fight, but if you want to be the first undisputed heavyweight world champion since Lennox Lewis, then you take 50-50 and you get the fight done.”

Oleksandr Usyk accepts Tyson Fury’s offer for undisputed heavyweight bout

Oleksandr Usyk has accepted Tyson Fury’s offer to fight for the undisputed heavyweight title.

After beating Anthony Joshua last year, Usyk now stands in the way of Fury’s bid to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

Over the past few months, the two have been seen exchanging words over a potential meeting inside the ring.

Originally, there was a chance that the two would meet in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. However, despite Usyk signing the deal, Fury refused after discovering the split was 50/50.

Fury has gone on to demand 70 per cent of the prize in order to take on the WBA, IBF and WBO champion.

Now, Usyk has taken to social media to post a video of him accepting the Brit’s offer. You can watch the footage below.

Ukrainian Usyk said: “Hey, Greedy Belly. I accept your off of a 70-30 split to fight on April 29 at Wembley.

“But you will promise to donate £1million to the people of Ukraine immediately after the fight.

“And for every day you delay you will pay one per cent of your purse to the Ukrainian people. Deal?”

Fury has come under some criticism after being labelled as greedy. In response, he said on Instagram whilst inside a shopping centre: “I see all this talk of boxing fights and ‘Usyk wants 50 per cent’ and ‘Tyson is being greedy’.

“But – where I am standing – Usyk and his team are only worth 30 per cent. You either take it or you leave it.

“If you don’t want it, go and fight Daniel Dubois at the Copper Box and gert a few million dollars. You want to make some real money, come and fight the Gypsy King.”

‼️ The WBA have now announced that they will order Oleksandr Usyk to defend his WBA, IBF & WBO heavyweight world titles vs Daniel Dubois next, assuming no deal is done for Tyson Fury vs Usyk by the end of today – which is the deadline they previously set for the undisputed fight.

Fury added: “I will say, for every day from today that you linger, mess around, I will deduct one per cent from the 30 per cent.

“So every day I will deduct one per cent, until you take it. And if you don’t take it then fight Dubois for two million dollars, not a problem.

“But how in the world could you ever offer me a deal? Not possible. Tick tock, tick tock, p*****s.”

Logan Paul posts video of Tyson Fury contradicting himself about the Paul brothers

The war-of-words between the Fury and Paul families has continued, although this time it’s younger sibling Logan taking aim at heavyweight world champion Tyson.

Last month, ex-Love Islander Tommy Fury and former Disney kid Jake Paul finally got to settle their differences inside the ring after what seemed like years of back-and-forth.

It was Tommy who ended up getting his hand raised, winning by decision thanks to the judges’ scorecards.

While many fans expected the relentless trash-talk to continue after the bout, Jake remained humble in defeat and gave credit to his rival for the victory.

However, the same couldn’t be said for his brother.

A couple of weeks on from the grudge match, Logan has decided to fire shots at Fury – not younger sibling Tommy, though.

In a recent tweet, Logan called out undefeated world champ Tyson, saying: “Make up your mind @Tyson_Fury.”

His post included a video of Tyson completely contradicting himself when it came to giving his opinion on the controversial Paul clan.

To open the compilation, Tyson says: “I actually fancy Logan Paul.”

But to follow it up, he adds: “Logan can suck my balls.”

When discussing Jake, it’s much the same from Tyson.

In the opening clip, he says: “Jake Paul’s doing fantastic.”

Which is followed by another snippet, where he asks: “Who the f**k is Jake Paul?”

With his eyes squarely on a potential heavyweight undisputed clash with Oleksandr Usyk, Tyson Fury himself is yet to respond to Logan’s tweet.

As for fans on Twitter, however, they were loving Paul’s gouding.

One replied: “Just settle it in the ring you two.”

While another added: “Is this setting up Tyson Fury vs Logan Paul in WWE?”

As a third joined in, saying: “KSI and Logan Paul vs the Furys tag team boxing next?”

Tyson Fury is being SLAMMED for rejecting Usyk's proposal and making ridiculous demand

Tyson Fury has responded to Oleksandr Usyk’s video in which he accepted the Brit’s 70/30 split for an undisputed bout.

Last week, the Ukrainian WBA, IBF and WBO champion took to social media and said: “Hey, Greedy Belly. I accept your off of a 70-30 split to fight on April 29 at Wembley. But you will promise to donate £1 million to the people of Ukraine immediately after the fight.

“And for every day you delay, you will pay one per cent of your purse to the Ukrainian people. Deal?”

However, Fury appeared to reject that proposal and has named new terms. You can watch the footage below. The video contains strong language.

In a video posted on his social media accounts, Fury said: “Hi, Tyson Fury here. Just a quick one, I have been talking to the lawyers today and Usyk’s people have been talking about rematch clauses and all that b******s.

“Here’s one to up the anti, how about there is no rematch f****ing clause for both of us.

“Let’s up the antis completely, never worry about what’s in the future and how many more dollars you can get after you’ve been defeated.

“Worry about the fight, April 29th, no rematch clause. The winner takes the glory, the loser goes home with his d**k in his hand. Agree to that you f***ing b***h.”

Fans were quick to react to Fury’s video.

One said: “How about just sign a contract and have a fight… Seems like you’re looking for any excuse for this not to go ahead.”

Another tweeted: “You’ve got 70/30, sign the thing stop swerving.”

A third fan added: “Here’s the next change… 70/30 agreed. Now no rematch clause. A fight of this size would always have a rematch clause?”

Someone else wrote: “Give him the rematch clause Tyson he’s agreed 70/30.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “He will always find something to not fight.”
