Oleksandr Usyk accepts Tyson Fury’s offer for undisputed heavyweight bout

Oleksandr Usyk has accepted Tyson Fury’s offer to fight for the undisputed heavyweight title.

After beating Anthony Joshua last year, Usyk now stands in the way of Fury’s bid to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

Over the past few months, the two have been seen exchanging words over a potential meeting inside the ring.

Originally, there was a chance that the two would meet in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. However, despite Usyk signing the deal, Fury refused after discovering the split was 50/50.

Fury has gone on to demand 70 per cent of the prize in order to take on the WBA, IBF and WBO champion.

Now, Usyk has taken to social media to post a video of him accepting the Brit’s offer. You can watch the footage below.

Ukrainian Usyk said: “Hey, Greedy Belly. I accept your off of a 70-30 split to fight on April 29 at Wembley.

“But you will promise to donate £1million to the people of Ukraine immediately after the fight.

“And for every day you delay you will pay one per cent of your purse to the Ukrainian people. Deal?”

Fury has come under some criticism after being labelled as greedy. In response, he said on Instagram whilst inside a shopping centre: “I see all this talk of boxing fights and ‘Usyk wants 50 per cent’ and ‘Tyson is being greedy’.

“But – where I am standing – Usyk and his team are only worth 30 per cent. You either take it or you leave it.

“If you don’t want it, go and fight Daniel Dubois at the Copper Box and gert a few million dollars. You want to make some real money, come and fight the Gypsy King.”

‼️ The WBA have now announced that they will order Oleksandr Usyk to defend his WBA, IBF & WBO heavyweight world titles vs Daniel Dubois next, assuming no deal is done for Tyson Fury vs Usyk by the end of today – which is the deadline they previously set for the undisputed fight.

Fury added: “I will say, for every day from today that you linger, mess around, I will deduct one per cent from the 30 per cent.

“So every day I will deduct one per cent, until you take it. And if you don’t take it then fight Dubois for two million dollars, not a problem.

“But how in the world could you ever offer me a deal? Not possible. Tick tock, tick tock, p*****s.”

Who do you think will win between Usyk and Fury? Let us know in the comments.
